I think CoH is very much NOT 'any MMO' and if you come into it thinking of it as you would other games, you will be parked behind the 8 ball. I leveled several of my toons with 2xp and just street sweeping (no end of mish/arc bonus). I sell dropped enhancements and white salvage and recipes to a vendor and I sell yellow and orange (and purple) salvage and recipes at the auction house. By doing this my girls would have anywhere from 5 million to 20 million influence by level 20. Running missions is very much NOT a primary means of gaining influence, especially if you run with any xp boosters. Specializing builds is fine so long as you are familiar with game mechanics and such. Good luck and happy hunting!

On a few of my 50s I skipped a few levels by visiting AE. At 50 they have an old school build but using common IOs. I have 4 tables in the base full of lvl 50 common IOs so that, PLed or regular leveling, I can run the toons while I earn/craft their incarnates and find out where they need bonus stuff. I have been known to forget the 'place enhancements' step and run empty. If people are looking at my set bonuses before we start in order to determine if I am worthy, its not a team I need anyway. If they are looking at my set bonuses while we play because I suck or keep dying, its most likely to offer advice or cash. I have a 'full scrapperlock full time' playstyle on all my toons. Even well slotted blasters die occasionally lol. For this reason, I would never join a Master run of anything with any of my toons 😁 To the OP: Sometimes we just gotta vent. I get ya.

Awesome pics...lol @ my double close up! I will bring Private Lives to the all MM next week, she is Merc/emp. I have been playing tanks/brutes/scrappers/sentinels for several months so I need to relearn how to emp for a team 😁 This theme team is so much fun, always changing so ya dont burn out on one character and it gives me a reason to brush off some alts that haven't seen action in months! Everyone tells me I dont look my age...I say the fat fills in the wrinkles...but I am VERY wary of meeting/dating someone younger. My ex-husband was just 3 months younger and we all know how that turned out lol...I cannot imagine someone who basically grew up in a totally different world understanding me. So cheers to the older but wiser(ish) folks...at least we all have each other!

Funny you mention it...a few years ago I was webmaster for my sister and her husbands home based business...he asked what program I use to make website and my answer was (and still is) um..WordPad. My brain is full to overflowing with obsolete coding languages like BASIC PASCAL HTML CSS and VRML. It's hard learning new stuff like incarnates and set bonus info. 😝

Ok I am curious. I know MM pets can't keep up and fall out all the time, do the other pets as well or can impies keep up and maintain altitude?

I don't know if they visit the forums or what their forum names are but we have a few in their 60s on Indom. I clock in at 46 but this morning my knee is telling me I am 112.

This is an excellent idea and I would love to impliment it. BUT I am very shy (don't laugh..I am!) and I always feel awkward on teams of just 2 or 3 people. I have only in the last few months become comfortable door sitting or farming with one or two of the people I have become friendly with in the game. If it is a random PuG then it feels way too, I dont know how to phrase it, but too intimate and personal and perhaps a but like the onus is on me to be dazzling at conversation and a perfect player. If there is a larger group I can choose to stand out or fade away like a wallflower but small groups don't have that. I know this is entirely a me problem and not a them problem. Also, back on live my (then) husband didn't read chat much and took forever if he was going to try to type something so it became my job to direct, be the team leader and make sure everyone knew the plan and what to expect. I dont relish that job and I dont want to do it ever again. I lnow I am not the only antisocial awkward hermit person around, and thankfully there are plenty of people who will start and lead teams. Y'all keep doing what you do because people like me appreciate it. Or we solo a lot. Deep breath. Okay this feels like therapy, who do I make my check out too? 😝

I do use reveal but I have more than a few toons I leveled through street sweeping and it is always cool when I come upon a 'wow I forgot about this nook' spot. I recently started a semi-perma-death toon..basically to keep my main name from live but I have zero interest in that old character so for this one death means reroll as new AT or powerset combo I do not have. So far she is just hunting but I may take her in missions.

I think people should play what they enjoy. I think if the OP had been more 'hey I like to play X way who wants to join me' and less APPEARING to bash other playstyles this would have been a very different thread. I say APPEARING because I cannot know the OP intent, and many of us have seen this type of post before that is bashing. I am not excusing taking that particular read of it, I think its a fault on both sides. Very hard to read intent through text. For myself...I never try to offend people, unless I do intend to offend, so if you are ever offended by what I type, please know I don't intend it, unless I do intend it. For you folks confused by that, it is very obvious when I try to offend because I usually fail drastically and get laughed at. Okay now everybody get out there and punch some faces in whatever way makes you the absolute happiest you can be in this handbasket we call the world. Please keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all time. When we arrive at our destination you will notice an increase of temperature and a little red guy with horns and a tail. Yes, he is a MM 😝

Cool idea...I think pools are important considering the overwhelming use of hasten, tough and weave, leadership pool, also travel powers and travel support powers that can mule global recharge or boost defense/resist. Also health amd stamina, I still run into people who 6 slot stamina for a set bonus as well as those who single or double proc it and call it a day.
