  1. Yea, personally I'd drop World of Confusion and pick up Forge. I'd also drop Evasive Maneuvers and grab Vengeance. The extra slots could be spread around. Maybe one for Fly (to make up for the speed loss), two for Forge, and the last two for Hover. I think you could also safely siphon a few slots from Stamina, Melt Armor, and Heat Exhaustion to add a couple slots elsewhere, like the shields. Not sure you need End Reduction in the latter two.
  2. There are some strange responses in this thread. First, the op wasn't referring to 'rescue and escort' missions. They specifically referenced npcs who join you during the mission. Yea, sure they're not the brightest bulbs out there, but if you know they're there and are proactive and aggressive yourself, they do a lot of damage. I've done the mission the OP referred to many times (it's part of the AVs needed for Portal Jockey). When you come across them, get aggressive yourself. They'll help you wreck spawns.
  3. If you can manage to get and keep agro off them, they do a ton of damage.
  4. Aside from what's been posted above, the Shauna Braun and Bobby Curtain story arcs are great. Love the changes to Electric Blast (and as mentioned above but bears repeating, Energy Melee changes). I really love fly on my characters. Being able to fly at Superspeed and Superjump speed is groovy.
  5. At the top of the forums, you'll see Browse, Activity, Account, FAQ, Support, Server Status, Wiki.
  6. Just a reminder that if you send a message, request, question directly to the Dev team, check your Support tab. I sent such a message a couple weeks ago and waited patiently for a Notification or Message. When neither came I had a flash of insight (rare for me) and checked the support tab, and lo and behold I'd received a message the same day, but didn't respond in time and the subject was closed (not a big deal, it wasn't urgent).
  7. This was my perspective. I'd never heard of the guy. No idea about Reddit posts. After watching the video, it seemed to me that most of the problems he described were self-inflicted. I don't wish the guy ill-will, nor do I believe his video was anything other than self-serving unless I have more information. Did he deserve the most egregious attacks? Certainly not (if they're true). I don't think anyone in this thread advocated that kind of behavior. I think you may be misconstruing acerbic comments as callous ones.
  8. He was gonna stream a Hami Raid. One was already in the recruitment stage. He could have: A) Joined in. B) Come back at another time. C) Siphon players and "zerg Hamidon". His own words. He chose C. As for the rest, all I saw was contradictions and dubious claims including having evidence. I dunno about you, but if I have evidence of malfeasance, I'm gonna show receipts. Two questions: Why the hell did I waste 27 minutes?! Am I insane? Why the hell was this posted in the first place? Nothing good could have come of it.
  9. While I've seen a few who say they 'love Knockback', almost all of them state they generally at least try to use it sensibly. The rest who push back are folks who simply don't let it bother them anymore. It's not like it happens in every group. I PuG a lot (mostly TFs), and the percentage of...bothersome...knockback is quite low. I don't know what to tell you man. Seems to me that while the same folks may defend knockback, I see the same folks always complainin' about it. Knockback used to bother the hell outta me...until it didn't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  10. Yea, I like the idea of sets with different forms, especially Staff Melee and Bio Armor, but I generally set and forget them. They are nice for specific encounters though. If I do swap stances I do so before combat starts.
  11. At this point, all I know is for a normal low difficulty team I'm confident taking one of my favorite characters (my most played Sentinel). If the team is running high difficulty stuff, I'm gonna pick something else. That's a problem with the Sentinel, not me or the team.
  12. That's the only reason I was looking up Fortunatas.
  13. OK! Thanks, I found it. Teamwork power training. Thanks, as I said, I have little experience with Fortunatas.
  14. Ok, pardon my ignorance, I'm looking at the Fortunata, Widow, and Night Widow training, and don't see mez protection. What am I missing? I see Crab Spiders and Bane Spiders with mez protection. Is that what you meant?
  15. Kinda? I mean, the closest would be a Fortunata with Soul Mastery I guess. Are Fortunatas as durable as Sentinels? Looking for objective analysis here, I have little experience with Arachnos Widows. Edit: Also Fortunatas have no access to a heal. Not sure that matters.
  16. We have a few clues for what the original designers thought: -The name itself, Sentinel. Of course, this could mean the literal defination of Sentinal, or it could be from Mass Effect's version of a Sentinel, or another I can't think of. -Ranged damage and sturdy defense/resist/mez protection. -Sentinel Ancillary pools. They're the only class that has heals available in this catagory (Fire and Electric Mastery). They all have a melee attack, a ranged hold, and a PBAoE attack, although Electric Mastery inexplicably has a PBAoE damage aura. Dark, Fire, Electric, and Ice all have ranged immobilize. Ninja has a ranged AoE with tiny damage (with debuffs) instead and Psionic has a ranged AoE sleep. Finally, those that don't have heals have either toggle or PBAoE debuffs or a PBAoE buff (Link Minds). From this I gather Sentinels are a mostly ranged damage dealer with good durability with the option of decent support powers.
  17. The more I think about it, the more I believe leveraging Sentinel durability is the best way to improve team utility. As mostly ranged attackers with excellent resists/defense/mez protection, they can take on quite a few attackers in relative safety. Because of this they are a joy to play solo. My Fire/Bio is one of my favorite characters. They're fine for teams at the default settings, or even most +1-3 Task Forces, but I'd rather play almost any other class for high difficulty content. I do think it's important to note that most teams aren't pushing the envelope from what I've seen (I could be wrong).
  18. Gelum or Frigus, (Latin for frost/cold). Inimicus (Latin for hostile). I kinda like Inimicus Frigus personally, but it's possible I'm weird.
  19. Um, you're responding to a post from two years ago from a poster who last logged in a year ago so.... Good work buddy?
  20. Can you give me an example of a game that was perfectly balanced?
  21. I'm with you on liking Hover. I have a couple of melee characters who use Hover. As far as I know, @Sovera uses Hover on all their Fire Armor builds, so it's definately doable.
  22. One of the biggest hurdles for older games is player fatigue (for me anyway). When I first found Homecoming, I played many hours for a year or so. After that, I'd play a month or two, take a break. The breaks are getting longer lately. Now, as long as Homecoming is around, I'll fire it up once in a while. New content helps bring me back. I think the Devs understand this.
  23. Oh, no worries! I agree that the values and additions would need to be relatively small. But look at the name of the AT itself: Sentinel. A guardian for the team. The vast majority of complaints are related to team utility.
