  3. WB/DC's problem is rebootitis taken to absurd extremes. If a film doesn't gross a billion, reboot. If a film doesn't test as well as a film which grossed a billion, reboot. If a producer watches a daily and doesn't think it looks like something that might gross a billion, reboot. If it's Tuesday, reboot. Executive meddling in hope of guaranteeing that everything released sets records has crippled them. At this point, when they do manage to push something out the door, we expect them to abandon it, and we don't develop an attachment, or even interest, because we already know there's nothing coming in the future. We don't trust them to deliver on the promise inherent in superhero films, the promise of continuance, of sequels. They'll either reboot or throw it away, so no-one cares any more. James Gunn coming on board and cancelling even more projects, while green-lighting B- and C-lister properties... that probably isn't going to help as much as they imagined it would. Marvel built up so much hype and excitement with their original Avengers line-up that moving on to different characters was what hit them the hardest. I've read various complaints about what they've done after Phase Three, but as I've only seen Black Widow, Shang-Chi and No Way Home, I'm not in a position to agree or disagree with them. But we all spent over a decade watching the central characters and seeing their stories play out, and when those characters were removed, it left a big hole in the MCU. We can't blame Marvel for that, they couldn't chain the actors to the characters, or drag out their stories, indefinitely. Nor were the actors at fault, they have lives and interests outside of the MCU. But those characters and the actors playing them were what kept people going back for more, and without them, Marvel's fighting an uphill battle to recreate what they built in Phases One through Three. I don't envision Co*'s return to the light having any impact on either of them. It doesn't touch on the problems affecting those companies in any way. It's not going to make people believe DC will get off the treadmill and start moving again, or insert retired characters into Marvel's new offerings.
  4. The economy is my bitch. Of course it looks "weird and broken". *puts a liplock on the economy* *spits out a level 10 Interrupt IO*
  5. It activates the Swap Ammo power. It does this whenever it's needed. It activates the Swap Ammo power or else it gets the hose again.
  6. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=set_bonus.set_bonus.stalkers_guile That's what's on the servers right now. Not the beta, the live build. The Cancel on Damage flag wasn't added to the proc in the beta build, it's always been there. They didn't make any changes to the proc until they added the 3s uninterruptible Hide.
  7. *wanders back in* *licks all of the names* All mine now. *wanders out again*
  8. Most of the sentinel T9 primaries deal ~138 damage, with a varying amount of additional damage at the center 8-10' of the AoE/PBAoE (in most cases, ~57). Full Auto deals 138.308 damage over 2s and has a 16% chance to crit for an additional 57.195 damage over 2s. Full Auto has to use a crit because they can't differentiate cone areas. A target is either in the cone or it isn't, that's the extent of the engine's determination. Rain of Arrows has 3 pulses of 61.4326 damage over 1s, but each pulse has a separate hit check, so the average damage equates to (61.4326 * 0.95) * 3 = 175.08291. Rain of Arrows deals less damage per target, but has a 16 target cap instead of the 10 target cap that other primary T9s use. They're fine.
  9. As with all cats, @Jimmy prioritizes sleep over work.
  10. Stop P-stringing everywhere. Use the litter box.
  11. There are DC and Marvel games making money right now, which they'd potentially make less of if players were permitted to make DC and Marvel characters in Co*, so whether or not Homecoming is a for-profit entity is irrelevant from a legal perspective. It's not just what someone else makes from illicit use of protected works, it's also what the owner didn't make.
  12. The slots are deleted, too. That's why they won't do it. Enhancements can be replaced, slots can't.

  14. Man... four pages and I still haven't seen any links to a movie about a convent of nuns who go Dirty Harry on the bad guys. Or porn. I'm not putting any of you in my will.
  15. Why the fuck is there a debate about revamping Sonic Resonance in a beta feedback thread that doesn't have a revamp for Sonic Resonance?
  16. Spreading things out reduces player congestion. Reduced player congestion alleviates problems with power spam, noise, et cetera.
  17. Sentinels aren't comparable to blasters, defenders, or corruptors. Sentinels are ranged scrappers and their nukes are restricted to keep them in line with scrapper limitations, just like their cones and targeted AoEs.
  18. If the new pets are purchasable with an existing currency (outside of the player market), players will run whatever content awards them the most of that currency instead of fighting GMs. If they use reward merits, players will grind for reward merits instead of fighting GMs. If they use inf*, players will farm/marketeer instead of fighting GMs. Whatever existing currency they used, players would focus on accumulating that instead of fighting GMs for a low drop chance. The players with a surplus of the existing currency could bypass the content and buy in immediately, en masse, allowing them to control the pricing on the player market. The currency used would experience inflation, the pet supply on the player market would be lower and the average sale price higher, and the pets would be less available to players without ever-increasing sums of inf* or the used currency. New currencies prevent hyperinflation, ensure availability for new players and encourage players to engage in the connected content. This is a lesson Cryptic didn't learn, Paragon learned the hard way and HC has no intention of repeating. If a few more icons in our inventory is the price we pay for not having items trading off-market for 1.5x the inf* cap, so be it.
  19. You want an echo chamber, a dead space where only people who agree with you are allowed a voice. You want to take away other peoples' right to speak, to have an opinion, to disagree. What you want is antithetical to the very nature of a forum, a public place where people can openly discuss things. That's exactly what I meant when I said "fascist activity". Nope.
