  1. i also suggested to shorten it by like 30-40% i still dont know what you mean by adding a few extra attacks to special enemies would break the game, it wont. the clockwork king here is still young and i dont see what adding psi enemies in his room or adding bosses(bertha, tom, lord, etc) the ability to build other clocks or others starting to learn to harness their electrical stuff a bit better. all this time i was suggesting to add it to the special named enemies, not the entire fucking thing and as i said before, this entire game is tedious and repetitive, its not just unique to synapes and to finalize this, the synapes TF is still one of the old task forces and it still has old mechanics. the enemies will always be at a minimum of level 20, even with a level 15 leader. you can test this out assuming you have a level 15 alt. to say it again, synapes does not scale with the team leader like all the newer task forces do. and even then i dont know where you got the number 17 from.
  2. so your saying giving bertha a chain lightning ability would shatter the game at its core or not enough to something or another? but synapes is hard level 20 at minimum. i dont know where you got 17 from i really do not know what you are fighting for here
  3. i woke up with this thought but why do we still need all the extra powers? Like with Bio armor what stance you have on changes other powers in the same set. so with that in mind why not delete all the nova and dwarf powers but start using the main sets powers and change their specs depending on what form you have? All the blasts can have their range and damage buffed when you flip on nova form but you lose access to melee attacks aside from dawnstrike and seekers. dawnstrike can even be turned into a ranged aoe and its animation can be using one of those seekers just amped up to x5 size or so and lobbed onto a target or reticle target And a mix/mash of offensive powers in dwarf form. short range laser beam eyes/lumi blast or enhanced target cap solar flare and the heals can get buffs too and maybe a toned down version of dawnstrike. and hell, why not add a small aoe to their version of total focus whos name i cant remember right now

  5. with khelds, there are no other "sets" available to them. you will always be a lumi blast/lumi defense peacebringer. meanwhile someone out there can be a fire/atomic blaster, fire/dev blaster, etc and so on And since khelds are a long learning experience and so many guides and stuff are out of date and peoples vain mentality there are a lot of roadblocks to someone making a kheld and what hurts the most is little replayability without forcing it human form damage sucks and i fear the day the devs buff it because it would cancel out why even nova form. well i mean unless they do something like shorten the range on all attacks and lower the target limit to things like sentinels dwarf form is very rarely needed for groups and i only really feel like i accel as a kheld as a nova form with permahasten. and i did that. i did the hell out of that. at least with soldiers and widows you can make multiple characters (ignoring second/third builds) and can have at least some variable experiences with replays while still bringing in some damage actually this post was too long and heartfelt for my taste, the real reason no one makes khelds is their main mechanic covers up their costumes

I was thinking of a chain lightning or summoning 5-10 minions at once or the ability to resurrect on a mass scale once for the first 4 or so missions and maybe, just maybe having an inner working of psychic clockwork just starting out and hes maybe able to pass on minor darts and such. hell, those synapes temp powers that hold clockwork can be brought into play here that can stop said abilities from working and maybe end up being an AoE hold(s)

  10. facebook tier reply aside its not brand new players. its mostly people with a couple of level 50s already and just kinda blew through their respec without much thought. i cant see why a new player would take multiple travel powers unless they were instructed otherwise
  11. keep the killalls use smaller maps remove the last few missions (skyway) and first patrol map merge the objectives from the skyway maps into the killalls. meaning bertha, tom, hostages, etc can be in the first 4 missions last mission can be in boomtown using the special clockwork king map. babbage can be added as a "monster" class enemy in that large 4 way room So, first mission (anomaly) 3 killalls. maybe change up the named bosses and bump them up to elite bosses with new powers. steel canyon patrol+boomtown last mission. babbage can block off the two entrances to the king until he dies. and the king can be surrounded with psychic clockworks since hes just getting started
  12. I think thats because Citadel and Numina need it more. Citadels biggest drawback for me are those ant colony tier maps, between getting caught on everything traveling through them only to fight 2-3 groups on a multi tiered areas Numina's crystal charging thing still makes no sense and without.. exp/rewards for that whole part stops the game dead
  13. 1 hour is not long, 45 minutes if your group is good. anything longer than an hour is the reason i made this thread, bad players its only boring if you make it boring. ex two trAvel powers, tough/weave and shit at such a low level the whole game is repetitive, its not just unique to synapes. what you thought the pinnacle of gaming was having some dark novas appear in ITF? oh what about a mission of council instead of freaks in yin? please note that a lot of KM ITFs are 30-60 mins. please remember all the sidekicks that might appear before you go nuts on me how your highly specialized group of friends that are +4s running on constant Ultimates did it in 9 minutes and 2 or so years ago the devs did a level-available squish. things that were available at level 28 are now at level 24, things that were level 26 are now level 22. mastermind pets, burn, invincibility, defender oil slick, peacebringers solar flare and light drones, shades corpse explosion and pet are all things that are now available in synapes if you dont do a proper respec with exemplaring in mind you have zero clout to call something boring, because that is 100% on you if you took one of those lazyass slapped together forum builds or you just not caring because you hate doing respecs. to put the forum builds thing into perspective, assuming you even get the reference, i want you to imagine someone on nexusmods's skyrim section uploading HUNDREDS of character presets using Bodyslide and thinking thats good content you can put off the fighting pool until late 20s/30s/40s. not much will be kicking your ass THAT HARD that you need to dedicate 3 power picks to it so early. most of the early game is not s/l anyways You dont NEED more than one travel power. it blows my god damn mind watching someone with SS and SJ still in positron

But the amount of shitty players this time around totally overwhelmed me. people who have hurricane on all the time and gale but then scream bloody murder if you kick them the mindless dregs who frontload their respecs/builds with power pools who complain about being bored with one or two attacks and the people whos minds are eroded to speed only even when clearly said not speed instantly taking off on the first stealthable mission. they dont fucking reply to "this isnt speed please come back" but suddenly they have a voice after getting kicked and its monday, the grand people with their A-game alts refreshed and good to go are suppost to be here and hitting hard until thursday or so the ingame community is turning to shit and i dont know if things will get better

  19. Leveling up, standard aoe. one acc, 3 dmg, endmodx2. let DFB/DIB tohit and/or the START boosters fill in the acc/tohit for a time Max level I use 2 acc/dmg hamis, 1 dmg/endmod IO, 2 endmods and optional 50+5 healing. tough/weave, hot feet and epic pool toggle adds up

  21. huh, either i memory holed that or its a bug im not sure how long ago the titan weapons nerf was but it was that long ago since i touched that set
  22. i know for a fact that if you are close enough to the ground you can use that power, the flying feet in the air caught me off guard a few years back
  23. start looking at the set bonuses and get used to frankenslotting. you can get some nice ranged/energy/neg energy defenses at a very low level
  24. i thought of that too but that would maybe lead to making mortar mobile as well with a little high tech skate board and then we would have a mini mastermind situation going with ffg, triage, mortar, drones and the probability of making trip mines also mobile. ai powered RC car, a safe knockoff of a mouse droid, etc and really who wants like 5-15 pets out all the time
  25. Swap Force Field Generator and Triage Beacon But allow just taking Triage Beacon to upgrade FFG and let a regen aura come from FFG
