Tanks are now great damage Brutes can be great tanks Defenders got fire blast Blasters secondaries protect/heal themselves The list can go on for how much each AT/sets changed over the years but in a world of extreme burst damage trollers and doms kinda.. bleh Years ago in the single digit issues the old Devs nerfed control powers recharges pretty hard because their main argument was "fighting statues" And that train of thought just isnt valid anymore because of how much damage people can do these days I made this thread hoping troll/doms can do more at lower levels without effecting higher levels but got this instead -

This is a suggestions and feedback forum I am going to assume that the suggestions are for the devs And the feedback for the devs when a patch hits I do not know where you are getting debate from. After 3 years I still do not get how or why people need to assert themselves as judge, jury and devcutioner here. -

The earth pet is pretty strong, force fields just do not synergize with it at all. For a soloing dom or troller having that little magmabro pounding away enemies while forged and fire shielded will be a plus. and in groups it is better than having a 4 minute cooldown hold which wont get used often or very long when a fire blaster decides to /delete a spawn in seconds. But if your point is having a weak/unpopular/antiquated secondary (whichever description is the least derailing) then may I dismiss it? I just want more damage to controllers and dominators at lower levels. -

if it was in one of your long drawn out posts im still not going to do it. i asked nicely to condense, or maybe summarize. hell even with the other half of this post i just read the first few lines. even with my short original post people still think i want their current level 12 power at 32 for some reason Probably because those sets dont synergize well. my earth/thermal is great because the stone pet hits hard and can take a hit, and that was before thermal buffs. and with jack frost, hes just ok. -rech and -spd is super easy to cap out. arctic air + jack's embrace is already overkill unless something resists it like a werewolf. dont roll ice/cold btw -

If we got pets at level 12, we would get them at 7. I dont know why you are getting upset since the point was to help out lower level trollers/doms -

According to power info windows pets have the numbers to scale down below 32(27) And not being able to control them wont be as game breaking as you think it would in large groups -
I dont want to get super into specifics of every set, but just move around powers and have all AoE holds at level 32 and pets at 12 or 18, halve the recharge of aoe holds to compensate being a level 32 power. just swap mass confuse for mind trollers with total domination Playing a low level dom or troller is mind numbing. And please take into consideration on how fast things die in this game vs how often you do use your aoe hold vs how long the hold duration gets used

Man there really needs to be some kinda auto-lock feature for old threads. Came here in a panic thinking the worst like 10k usd a month to keep things going due to the current time of this post financial climate. happy to be disappointed but what the fuck 2 year old thread

FF is weird to me because depending on primary, its too strong, or too weak. Bot/FF is a classic and is waaaaaay over Def at max level with an expensive endgame build But Merc/FF is only at or around the softcap with Mace Mastery's Power Boost and pet buff IOs Sonic is another oddball that can synergize well depending on primary Demon/Sonic was nice because of stacking +resist and -resist, with pet inherents and pet buff IOs I was easily capping s/l resist at 85% and whatever their quirk resists were Merc/Sonic was a slight upgrade to Merc/FF, but still not much synergy And my Beast/Cold only worked because I PLed it to 50 for the pet buff IOs and access to hamis to really frankenslot Fog and Pets to really maximize +def to get softcapped

Oh and I love 2 slotting Launch sets in my superjump/force of will characters. the height and speed is amazing and the 2.25% s/l resist just fits every character

Not a lot of folks have spare slots for travel powers. Even fewer realize you can use Universal sets or Micro hamis to boost its run and jump. 3 universal infiltration + base slot sprint = 80mph range. characters with [Quickness] or variants are higher. With that said, many of my characters have Evasive Maneuvers and Infiltration 6 slotted. 3 travel, 3 def procs.

its like that now. in the before times all 8 people were encouraged to go off and kill on their own. we didnt have difficulty adjustment back then and 8 people fighting their own at a nice pace was better than sticking together due to the volume defeated -
I like the idea of Hand Clap having damage, sets with no AoE pre-26 are brutal to play. Especially now that the WSTs are cycling back to low level stuff. As for [Rage] why not go the extra mile and revamp the whole thing: No crash Let it stack Lower recharge But lower its dmg/tohit numbers to accommodate Wait this is pretty much Fury, nevermind

i think the devs still use SOs as a baseline for balance -
Exemplaring and turns it into a gain. This all sounds like a lot of work on both the players and devs end to have the shapeshifting AT, not shapeshift. Like turning Regen into a resist/def alt via IOs while still claiming to be a regen, its just a lot of work

i still cant wrap my head around having the spare slots for human shields to even need or want this in the first place. i barely had the slots for 3 ribos in dwarf form
