  1. The New Dawn COH server has free form capability where you can mix and match from all primary and secondary sets within a specific AT. You can make some very interesting concept characters with it. I wish the people here would look at adding in stuff like that.
  2. No salt required. Cryptic getting STO launched within an impossibly short time is publicly known. The part about STO requiring CO in order to function isn't true. This was a rumor that was spread several years ago. Cryptic Devs put that to rest a long time ago. CO and STO might share a chat server, but were CO to get shuttered, STO will still work just fine.
  3. CO has been going for quite a few years now. It wasn't a victim of the latest sale of Cryptic and from all reports, CO isn't going away anytime soon. Apparently it's still making money for Cryptic.
  4. I've no idea about others, but I personally won't be trying to obtain costumes and pets for every single one of my alts. It's too expensive and time consuming an effort. I imagine most feel the same. Even if most people did want every costume and every pet on every alt, eventually PAs will start becoming more plentiful in the market. It may be a long while, but it will happen at some point.
  5. These are great suggestions and would fit very well with quite a lot of the base concepts I've seen around.
  6. This is only temporary. Once most people have enough PAs to purchase all the costumes and pets they want, there will be more available in the AH and prices will come down. As for removing hard mode content, no thank you. I don't run them often myself, but that doesn't mean that it should get removed. Others are really enjoying the hard mode content and that's a good thing.
  7. This doesn't work if you're held/immobilized in some way or stuck in a long attack animation.
  8. Generally, support characters aren't in melee range which is where these intentional auto-hit / un-resistable damage auras are located. They were designed to neuter melee more than anything else and "encourage" melee players to actually move. That's in addition to making support characters more desirable/required for a team. Most all of the auto-hit instant death auras are telegraphed quite well and give you sufficient time to move out of range, unless you're stuck mid-animation or held. Goldbrickers exploding in the Aeon SF are a good example. With that said, the Rikti death bubbles in the LGTF are very, very poorly designed. They're extremely difficult to see, especially given the over saturation of VFX spam that the bubbles get buried under. By the time you realize you're inside one, you're dead. I'm generally not a fan of instant death auto-hit stuff myself. It doesn't make anything "harder", just more tedious and annoying. I personally think it's unimaginative, but it is what it is here. I don't think it should be changed or removed as there are people enjoying the hard mode content.
  9. Have you tried any of the hard mode TF content yet? Auto-hit and un-resistable damage is how HC have been creating "challenge" for their hard mode content. It's done specifically to neuter melee characters already at the soft cap for DEF and RES while making support characters more desirable to have on a team.
  10. Love the idea of more options for storage devices. Especially if we can have ones with larger capacity, even if there could only be 1 in the base. Love the idea of a single teleport device too that goes to all locations.

  13. Excellent points. This makes more sense for a live retail game where the objective is to get players to play (and thereby pay) longer. The longer you it takes for them to afford anything, the longer they were paying a sub fee or longer they were in the game to buy something in the store. I agree this isn't good and doesn't make sense to me for a non-commercial game.

  15. I don't disagree, however this doesn't help people who may have characters in multiple SGs. If all your characters aren't in the same SG, they don't always have access to the same storage.
  16. Question along these lines, has anyone ever asked any of the folks here on the HC team about the feasibility of adding account based storage items to bases? I don't remember seeing any threads about it. Certainly would be nice to be able to store stuff at the account level and not bother with using alts as mules.
  17. A comparison to what though? I never said anything about heart surgeons or whether they should or shouldn't make more or less than a big name Hollywood actor.
  18. What a fantastic response to a statement I never made. Great job! 👍 You're correct in your assessment @ZacKing, thank you. My comment was more about my personal opinion that many big name actors are overpaid in general. And I agree, many of them are way overpaid, especially with so many other very talented people in SAG/AFTRA and the WGA who are really struggling to find work. To me, someone like Tom Cruise getting paid 100 million for a movie is too much. He's probably worth upwards of 500 million, if not more. Does he really need another 100 mil for his next movie? Is he really going to live any differently if he's worth 500 million instead of 400 million? Maybe if people like that didn't demand that fat pay check, studios would have a little more money to work with, be able to pay people a little better for their work and be more inclined to take chances on smaller indie-type projects. Sometimes I think people forget franchises like Rocky started as an indie-film, and many indie-films like The Whale and Everything Everywhere All at Once have won academy awards. This is all my opinion though, so others I'm sure will disagree, which they're of course welcome to do.

  20. I was also on leagues that had to have killed him hundreds and hundreds of times over the weekend and never received a single recipe drop. Drops in general for everything seem off to me. I freely admit I don't have hard data to back this up so take it for what it's worth, but my experience is drop rates are even lower than they used to be across the board. Running story content as of late on various alts, I'm lucky to get any enhancement drops, anything above the occasional common salvage is rare, let alone anything above common recipes. Seems like stuff dropped more frequently before. Again, just my observation.
  21. This seems very likely and does beg the question - who at Sony thought this movie would be able to bring in that kind of money to even come close to breaking even, let alone turn a profit? I think what @ZacKing said earlier about sunk costs makes sense and that's a big part of what's going on. It certainly seems to me that studios are reluctant to give up on the superhero genre since they've already invested so much money in it. That and I agree with those who've said Hollywood way overspends in general, specifically way, way, way too much on actors. It's insane the amount of money being paid to some of them, especially when you have SAG/AFTRA going on strike over wages and such. I don't disagree, although I'd say I don't have much hope at all for Kraven coming anywhere remotely close to breaking even either. He's not that interesting a character in my opinion and certainly isn't one that would be a box office draw. Personally, I think Sony is better off selling the Spider-Man rights back to Disney and pocketing the cash. Certainly a better investment than churning out turd after turd that's bleeding them dry.
  22. I was one of the eight this morning who tried this and can confirm the Kronos Titan did not spawn for anyone. I tried this again a couple more times today and found that spawning the Kronos in Talos is indeed bugged. He seems to be spawning too close to the Hospital and is getting droned. I tried this 3 times and can repeat the result with the following steps - Run "Operation: World Wide Red" arc. Run through all missions until "Stop All Wildflower Agents" mission. Complete "Stop All Wildflower Agents" mission. Before exiting the mission, use Oro portal inside the mission. Go to Oroborous and then select Talos Island destination. Kronos Titan doesn't appear near hill area next to train. NOTE: The Kronos Titan USED TO spawn right at the bottom of the hill on the street prior to this patch. The result I was able to repeat is after waiting a minute or two on the hill, start moving around Talos to see if it spawned somewhere else. Where I was able to repeatedly find him spawning was by moving NE into the hospital parking lot. The Kronos Titan would spawn in that parking lot, then immediately disappear. I was able to do this three times so far. I think this is too close to the police drones. It's the only place I've seen it spawn in since the patch. You never needed to move off of the hill before as he'd always spawn right at the bottom of the hill. I'll try this again tomorrow to confirm again, however it does seem this is bugged since last patch.
  23. I see @Yumichan beat me to it already for the bug report. I tried this a couple more times today and this does look to be bugged with regard to the Talos location. I'll put my findings into the other thread. Good to know. Thank you.
  24. So a group of 8 of us each ran the Operation: World Wide Red arc via Oro individually to coordinate a mass Kronos spawn in Talos. We were 0 for 8 in spawning him, so whatever changes have been put into place to correct Adamastor, it looks like it totally broke the ability to spawn Kronos in Talos. Talked with a few others in game who had a similar result since this patch went live. Seems like this change broke more than it fixed. Is there any "official" word on whether or not spawning multiple Babbages and Kronos Titans via coordinated teams considered an "exploit" now? Would be nice to know so we can all avoid wasting our time any further on these activities.

Fixing Adamastor I could see since he can be AFK summoned and farmed solo, however since other GMs "have to be worked for" then their rewards shouldn't be changed so drastically, if at all in my opinion. I can already envision a whole host of other fun GM spawning activities getting smacked by the nerf bat because of this. I don't know about all the servers, but periodically several teams on Excel, Torch and Everlasting are coordinating multiple Synapse runs to spawn multiple Babbages simultaneously. I guess we can assume that this bit of occasional fun will get smacked down as well?
