I think you may have misread what was said on that. They lost the name a while ago, not during the purge. So they probably tried to get it and looked it up and saw someone else had it now and thought they'd ask. They probably have similar names because they lost the other, it is in their handle.

That's the Tequila launcher which is no longer supported. I know it still works but I don't remember how to troubleshoot that. I would verify that nothing has been moved in your file system and/or re download files. The new launcher is pretty smooth tho and has some troubleshooting built in. Are you on the Homecoming Launcher? If so go to the 3 dots and go to Settings/General Settings and verify your install location. If that is correct got to the 3 dots again and Verify. i would also close all the way out and reopen the Launcher.

Apparently I've played the game like 6 times based on badges for TFs that I've done. I'm a noob I guess! Since about issue 4!

I wanted my original Live name for my "Main" Nerio, someone else had it (I cleverly added an S 😉 and lived with it). I emailed them and explained why I wanted it very politely, didn't hear anything for probably over a year and then I got an email from them and they let me have it! Excitement ensued! And then life "made" me take a break for a year... There are people that will hook you up if asked nicely, and that's awesome. I had given up. 😀

Just wondering if there would be a way to have a ToT emote (or temp power or something) that would give you a bag/bucket/etc. that you could run around with. I know most emotes disappear when you move so maybe a temp power type thing? Just curious if it would be feasible. And obviously not this year! And yes, I know I'm a 50something year old child but it would be fun!

Its an option for everyone. There may be reasons another player does not want to completely turn off GF and they shouldn't have to because there are players that are more important than everyone else on a team. If you are asked politely and it doesn't make you lose the TF you should do what the team leader asks you to. I have made my points. Enjoy the game.
