  1. Tons. Not evidently. Definitely. Smelters stack Melt Armor, something (not sure which) drop those blue-ring grenades of -Res laden doom, AU-Rifter's "gravity distortion" thing does -Res, and I think a few of them carry the same "rifle" that is granted as a reward, which is also -Res. If one is not paying attention it is very easy to get into the red (negative resistance) and find oneself eating insurmountable quantities of damage in short order.
  2. Mace/Stone was an interesting combo that I ran during the open beta. The KD in Mace plays nice with Mud Pots, and Brimstone's fire proc supplements Mace nicely.
  3. I like /Sonic; however, in addition to all of the above Deafening Wave is currently, erroneously, flagged to ignore outside buffs. This includes +dmg from anything that isn't an enhancement as well as the +special baked into Sound Booster and other sources of +special. I have a Rad/Sonic patiently waiting for the fix, hopefully it is on the list of "low hanging fruit" fixes in a patch not to far in the future. The T1 repel is an excellent tool, and Earsplitter is also very good. Jury is out on Sound Cannon - on the surface a useful opening tool, but in practice it doesn't seem very reliable. Leveraging the hold mechanic is key for the set, not just for the extra dmg procs although those are useful.
  4. Do they? I hadn't noticed. 🙂 It is possible that I could be fire blasting wrong ... ... or that my idea of "burning through endurance" is leveling a Psi/SD scrapper the long way (all those levels before Body pool....), and continuing to run her without Ageless. 😄 Seriously, those zero cost toggles are amazing. Even silly slotting like 2 pieces of Synapse's Shock (End Mod and EndMod/+RunSpeed) nets nearly 2 end/s from just that toggle alone. (In Reaction Time on Fire/Martial) The base recovery on the toggle is double what Stamina provides.
  5. Yes. Gave this a go on beta over some coffee just out of curiosity. It checks every 10s like any other aura, and appears to check individual targets. In my short test (letting the aura whittle down mobs in Perez) I can count the number of firings on one hand - hardly worth doing especially when one considers .... ... that the real question isn't "Will this work?" the question is "Yeah, but, I mean, why?" Blaster "sustain" powers are already embarrassingly generous with Recovery. When I first saw them here at HC I almost spit beverage all over my laptop. I would be downright ashamed of myself if I had a blaster who got their sustain and still had endurance issues. 🤣 I'd have to page a resident math guru, but I can imagine a safe assumption would be that a single EndMod IO is going to outperform ToE in CA by a wide margin. Perf Shifter, Power Transfer ... both of those probably much better choices than ToE.
  6. Don't hold your breath. Personally, I don't really care which one, just pick one. 🍻 We voted to stick to one in 2018 here in CA - still changing clocks twice a year like everyone else ~4 years later.
  7. Dunno. I'm stumped. Granting that Spines isn't going to be great on a Pylon, and maybe try 801.0 before .1? That should work just fine in a Trapdoor if you're running similar tier iPowers that folks commonly use in there. Which incarnates are you slotting? Those tend to make a difference in the stuff you're measuring against. Numerically I can't see anything wrong there; I have a stalled spines/ice that was going more in the slows/AoE direction so I was curious to see a build. Maybe someone else can be more helpful, lol.
  8. Woodworking as ASMR. After the intro music fades, turn it up a bit. Bonus: Also some damn fine woodwork. That one is a good intro to the way he shoots/edits them though. Highly recommend both Colored Pencil build vids, the Broken Skateboard build vid, and this masterpiece:
  9. Any chance you'd take a shot at exporting a Data Chunk? I use "Short Forum Export" and the options look like this: If I want to share on the SG's discord I select "Only export Data Chunk." For forums I am fairly sure I just uncheck that box and nothing else. Which gives a build with a link, chunk, and skips the summaries at the end.
  10. Heh, didn't actually watch that one. So all the way back to 2003? Fascinating. That space has exploded post-lock-down. I used to do location work for a company several years ago who's office coordinator had subscribers just watching her eat pizza and what-not. That was like 6 years ago, so dunno if that was OF or some other setup. I remember reading an article about a guy who pulled a massive following on OF just doing chores and stuff shirtless in 2020. Humans are hilarious. 🤣 But let's be honest, the real money is in the pr0n.
  11. You do know that a Nosferatu Only Fans with half-way decent make-up and lighting would rake in millions, right? And I don't even mean pr0n. Just Nos going about his day. Vids of Nos reading children's books, doing laundry, whatever.
  12. Thanks. Was mostly curious because you've had the opportunity to do a direct before/after on an identical build. I have only played it after the re-work.
  13. Should be fine. They have more tricks up their sleeves so probably more of a threat in a lot of cases, but with a few exceptions they should fall a great deal faster. Are you finding the [SHOCKED!] mechanic is the boost over the way your toon played before, or that Sapping is more effective after the update? Or am I remembering that second bit wrong?
  14. Agreed. Now, can we also put the PvP distraction in this thread to bed as well? They're different environments with different rules, and that's just what we're going to have going forward without making changes so broad that scaling the mountain of consensus isn't going to happen. Now, back to our regularly scheduled discussion of PvE, and whether or not Travel Suppression still has a functional place in that portion of the game. Please skip the "there are plenty of ways to get non-suppressed speed" comments. We know, we've been doing that. I'm more interested in the conversation that @Reiraku has alluded to - what were the "5 out of 8" - reasons to have TS in PvE? If we had that information we could have an informed discussion. 🍻 That's not Travel Suppression, that's a function of how Follow works. This will happen on a moving target, as you noted by listing Sprint which does not suppress like a Travel Power, anytime you are naturally faster than they are. I don't know the mechanics of why, and consider this to be Follow's Unforgivable Sin so others would have to speak to the actual mechanics behind that.
  15. In the interest of full disclosure: I never served, unfortunately. My extremely misspent youth was ... well ... let's just say extremely misspent and leave it there.
  16. "Paint me like one of your French girls..."
  17. Wait. That was real!?!? I assumed it was an internet gag or something! Wow.
  18. Degenerative Interface has a -HP side, and is a fairly standard recommendation for melee ATs looking to hit hard targets. I am not as familiar with Corrs or Controllers, so I am not sure if that is similar for those or if there is a better choice. Truck on down to the Pylon and Trapdoor threads in the Scrapper section for tons of info on Rad/SS or EM/Rad. Folks post from all ATs in those threads, so you'll see tank and brute builds that are purpose made for hard targets and +4x8 soloing.
  19. Like many, I have a soft-spot for trash cinema. So, a few years back when I was scrolling through options I came across this: ... and, I mean come on, who doesn't want to watch Mustangs dogfighting Dragons! Sorry, OG, no Spitfires or Hurricanes that I can recall.1😛 So here's the thing. This movie exists in the MCU, and I have evidence: See that Hydra logo down in the lower left? Now, prop and set recycling happens all the time in the world of low budget movies. I don't know how they got their hands on one that hadn't been scrubbed of IP, but I can just picture the conversations on set ... "Only the nerdiest of nerds will ever notice this, and if they do we might get some traction as a fan theory!" So, you read it here first people. While Red Skull and the Cap were trading blows in Europe, Hydra's Dragon Brigade was hard at work in the North African Theater. 1 - Apologies in advance if my assumption that you're UK based was incorrect, and now that I think about it I don't think they had any P-51s beyond one or two body shells to establish presence on the ground. 🍻
  20. As others have said, with Giant Monsters on the table for soloing, you'll need debuffs. Basically a GM has a little more than double the HP of an average AV so their Regen can be very difficult (probably impossible) to beat without debuffs. -Res, -Regen, and -HP are your allies here. Tons of great suggestions thus far. For soloing Task/Strike forces and AV class targets you're basically spoiled for choice. Most melee, perma-doms, masterminds, some blasters, etc. Setting to +4 narrows the field slightly, but not really all that much. All of the previous suggestions made up-thread will also excel in these encounters. If anyone's got a melee toon that eats Giant Monsters on the regular, I'd love to see it though. There's got to be an outlier out there someplace! 😉
  21. Pineapple on Pizza is lovely, but ya'll heathens need to up your pineapple game: What say you @Jimmy?
  22. Yeah, I need to see the rest of this. That spinning radar aerial on the body-kit "935" leading the pack. Still laughing.
  23. 44. Dunno if that is a holdover from olden times or a typo. But the last Anc/Patron power opens at 44 for everyone.1 1 - Assuming Mids is right, because I had to look. Heh.
  24. More of an inversion/deconstruction than a spoof or parody, but as it's not been mentioned yet ...
