  1. It used to be called 'Longbow Warden 2'. The name was changed to 'Longbow Defender'.
  2. It looks like the forum update that Cipher mentioned has removed the reputation displayed next to our number of posts. I haz a sad. 😭
  3. Running at +0 is too boring except when you're really low level. I run Positron and Synapse at +0. Penny Yin and onward, I run at +1 so we don't fall asleep. I do not communicate this because most task forces at +1 are EASY MODE. To me, +0 and +1 are default settings.
  4. I don't think so. I made a second build on one character and there is no way in hell I would have re-bought those powers (since I would not need them on this build) and yet, he has all of them.
  5. No. Every character had to have, at a minimum, rabbit ears You see, on the Chinese calendar, this is the year of the rabbit. I was playing my dark/archery defender named Dark Devices. She has a costume that is basically a cross between a ninja and a Playboy bunny. Conveniently, I have a screenshot from a previous all bunny ITF back on live. She's the one with no name overhead since I took the screenshot.
  6. I would disagree on that. I run the weeklies a lot and, since we're mostly there for the rewards, there is a lot of stealthing missions. Having the Stealth power (which actually grants full invisibility, despite the name) is very useful. Most of my characters also have Teleport Target and *ALL* of them buy Assemble The Team. And, of course, you can put a LotG +recharge in Stealth. My default answer would have been Assault and Tactics because I take those on most characters - but you said you already had those. If you also had a rez power, I would have said Vengeance for sure, since you would be running over to the dead teammate anyway. It's still a good option (since it can also take a LotG) but not as compelling. Overall, I would lean toward Stealth and Teleport Target. Being able to summon that one person who always gets to the mission last, or gets lost on Orenbega maps, or who has Assemble The Team charged and ready, etc - very team-friendly.
  7. Before I started, I set up a spreadsheet with just two categories. 1) All the Ouroboros challenge badges with the level range and requirements. 2) A listing of every zone with one or more exploration badge. Then I just played the game for a while (over a year). I enjoy task forces and iTrials and the Everlasting TFs channel does Master runs regularly so I got tons of badges that way. Any time I didn't feel like teaming, I'd get all the badges and plaques in a zone or two. Once I got past 1500 badges, then I actually sat down with a listing and took note of all the ones I was missing. This was a while ago, so it wasn't too many (there are 1596 currently and I have all of them). I noted the badge name and requirements in my spreadsheet and worked my way through the ones I was missing. Most fell in one of the following groups: - fifth/sixth in each set for damage dealt, damage taken, time held, influence earned, etc. - Arena badges - Architect Entertainment badges - ski run badges
  8. The rez range is pretty good. It's a good AoE around you *AND* the target enemy can be pretty far away. I was on my dark defender on an 'all bunny' ITF yesterday and used it. I was standing on top of the dead teammate but my target was at least 40 feet away. One thing to remember about the heal, it's an AoE around YOU. Unlike kinetics where the heal is an AoE around your target. That always annoys me since I play both sets. tsk tsk. I'm pretty sure that I only have 3 characters who DO NOT have Teleport Target. One of my tanks skipped it. My fire/fire brute did not have room for it. And Toggle Man didn't take it because, obviously, it's not a toggle.
  9. *her Her full name is Wilhelmina Marlena Dietrich.
  10. (shrug) I think that's completely wrong. I play a lot of games and every single one has features I don't like. You boldly showed them they don't like the game as much as they claim to? And yet, here they are (myself included), playing many hours per week and being active on the forums. If we didn't like the game, we wouldn't be here arguing about it WHILE ALSO playing it.
  11. "Nearly every player is encouraging them to"? That seems like a gross exaggeration to me. I buy the double XP booster, do 2-3 runs of Death From Below and then delete it and never buy another. I actively discourage people from using double XP because we already level so fast. As for characterizing this game as having a an "xp grind to max level", that seems laughable when there are constantly new threads complaining about how it's too easy to level in this game and it's all 'easy mode'. I think the different tiers of XP boost were a good idea and, if there should be any change, the top booster (double xp) should just be removed.
  12. No, this is wrong. In fact, you directly contradicted it in a later part of your quote (below) where it says a booster works "without changing the base level of the enhancement." Furthermore, you can't make level 53 enhancements by using boosters. Boosting it 3 times does NOT make it level 53. It makes it level 50+3 as shown in this screenshot.
  13. Let's not forget getting to missions in The Hollows when you didn't get your travel power until level 14 and there were no temp power jet packs.
  14. Firstly, last time I checked, people played games to have "fun". Second, the original state of the game is not some idealized state - it had serious problems (and still does). But being a "valid facsimile of the original" is, in my opinion, NOT something to strive for. Would I rather play a vanilla server or this one? Definitely this one. While the Homecoming team has made a number of changes I do not like, I feel this is outweighed by the quality of life and other improvements that make the overall experience more enjoyable.
  15. An amusing story about the 'confusion' aspect. The Beatles founded Apple Records. When Apple Computers came along, Apple Records sued over the similarity in the name. They lost and the court pointed out that people were unlikely to confuse a computer company with a record company. Fast forward to when Apple became the largest seller of digital music.
  16. Yeah, he's one of the aspects of Rularuu. Without looking it up, the only ones I recall are him, Ruladak, Faathim, Lanaru and Chularn. We meet three of them in Shard task forces.
  17. And when they brought The Tick to television, they changed the character to a Hispanic hero named Batmanuel.
  18. No points awarded for that line. I mentioned my Pocket D VIP Pass on voice last week so you already knew I had it. 😛
  19. Thank goodness you're here, Darth Gokuverine!
  20. That vague description makes me think of the 'Connected' badge. The first part of the badge description on the Wiki notes: "After accepting the very first mission of Vincent Ross' story arc but before entering the mission door, you will need to talk to one of Vince Dubrowski, Lorenz Ansaldo or Diviner Maros. Two will tell you that you have a more important task to attend to, but one of them will add a special side mission to the current mission. " So, WHILE DOING Vincent Ross's arc, you have to go talk to another contact and do some optional side work for them DURING the main arc. This one is actually a bit complicated and I screwed it up on the first try.
  21. My set-up would probably be annoying to many people. The Global tab includes all global channels I'm on, plus Broadcast, Help and Rewards. Help also gets a separate tab in case of an extended conversation or if I want to check back on something. Rewards is the same story. Combat is just combat rolls. Tells tab is in case I miss a tell or want to look back. PCSAR stands for Paragon City Search And Rescue. The lower Chat tab includes: Local, Team, League, Supergroup, Tells and Hero/Villain/Praetorian zone alerts. So, yeah, some busy chat windows.
  22. Yes. You can use /chat_save to save a default set-up and /chat_load to load it on every new character. Alternatively, if you want multiple options, you can use /chat_save_file "filename" and then /chat_load_file "filename"
  23. Given that my main can teleport, and just how much BS goes on in Paragon City, I would live well outside the city.
  24. Sure, you laugh. But Combo Man isn't laughing about it.
  25. Well, your first mistake was not soloing it. I did Posi 1 eleven times last week. Ten were solo and one was led by someone I know. Whenever Posi comes up in the rotation, I solo it on every character that 1) needs XP, or 2) needs a Notice of the Well. So that's every character who is not yet 50, plus my 50's that are not tier 4 on the Alpha slot.
