  1. Things are different from live, but we don't have LESS content. In addition to the contact offering repeatable missions, there are four contacts in The Hollows, each with their own mission arc. The first one is Officer David Wincott, who is standing near the Atlas Park entrance. I believe he becomes available at level 5 or 6 and you don't need to be introduced by a previous contact. Just go there and walk up to him. The four contacts are Wincott, Flux (one of the Outcasts), Julius the Troll (a troll, duh) and Talshak the Mystic. Flux gives one of the classic missions in the game - Take Out Frostfire.
  2. Interesting. That's the opposite of what I would have expected. I wonder how many people can be doing it before it starts to be ineffective.
  3. Are you on a big shard? I just looked back through the Everlasting TFs schedule and they ran Master of Lady Grey twice this month - i.e. at a known, predictable time which would allow you to gather a team in advance for the badges. Excelsior has a higher population so I'm guessing it's a regular occurrence there also. According to the wiki, completing the TF triggers two invasions - one in a red zone and one in a blue zone. If you start the TF yourself then head to the appropriate zone immediately after completion, you should be good. Just make sure you have the zone event announcement channel displayed so you know where it's going to happen.
  4. Sure, but you're all grim/dark/undead about it. I have an invuln/dark tank named Chromatic Cat where every attack is a different color of the rainbow. 🙂
  5. Ah yes, Chief Inspector Dreyfus. "Every day, and in every way, I'm getting better and better."
  6. Says the person who has posted in the thread more than anyone excluding the OP. Now tell us how the thread is of no concern or interest to you.
  7. And, despite some useless noise in this thread, plenty of us do appreciate your time and effort.
  8. OMG that's my favorite cut scene. Frostfire: "I was once like you. I too thought the world was simple." Lackey: "Yeah, simple." Frostfire: "Shut up, you moron!" And let's not forget the ice slides. 🙂
  9. I'm sure you've figured this out by now, but there was an idiot on that DFB and it wasn't you. I did this back in the day to introduce new players to the game and meet new players. There was no DFB so I made a character and ran him through Atlas Park and The Hollows. After finishing the Hollows arc, I'd delete and recreate him.
  10. Right, he needs to find someone else doing it. I think in the past you only had the one shot and it is NOT available in Ouroboros. At some point it was changed to allow team credit instead of only the mission-holder being eligible. On a side note, my main already has the badge and I have multiple 50's on Excelsior and Everlasting. If you're on one of those, it looks like I could get the contact pretty quick (if I don't already have him). So, if you have trouble finding someone with the mission, let me know.
  11. Accurate. There's a lot more sources for these things. They are clearly NOT locked "behind Hm raiding". In fact, I got most of mine from a method you don't even mention. The new Halloween badges gave two each and there were five badges. That's 10 per character. I cycled more than 30 characters through the hotel murder machine in Peregrine and got over 300 in a couple days. My next largest source is either iTrials or the Weekly Strike Targets (I'm not keeping track). I do the Weeklies a lot for the Notices of the Well.
  12. My girlfriend does iTrials while traveling on a three-year-old Microsoft Surface. If you're willing to turn your settings down a bit, you can play on pretty much anything. Some crazy person literally got the game to run on a PHONE. Having said that, a computer with a discrete graphics card is a much better choice. Anything you can buy today, with a discrete graphics card, will handle the game easily.
  13. Well, during the Halloween event, I got the five new badges (and accompanying Aether) on every 50 I had (on every shard) and a few non-50's - about 30 characters total. I got all the badges pretty quick, but also kept collecting them so I could get the mini costume for my main. I don't think the requirement for the badges was outrageous (as long as you only have one badger) but the dopey costume items seem overpriced. To me, some of the most expensive ones are the stupidest-looking and I have not seen ANYONE using them. Unlike the mini costume, which seems pretty popular. So, overall, these badges didn't seem too bad to me since I would have gotten them inevitably anyway since I run the weeklies a lot (for the Notices). Here it is mid March and I've done 70 task forces or trials - so averaging about one per day.
  14. Not unless it happened fairly recently. I got the healing badges last year (maybe in the 3rd quarter - not really sure).
  15. Well, that was an old post and I did find two Pokemon friends from Homecoming. If I ever need more friends, I'll post here again. Actually, you definitely can trade Pokemon between players. That's how I've gotten regional Pokemon from other parts of the world.
  16. There is another method that I prefer because there is frequently someone already healing the troops by Kalinda. Gladiator 'heal farms' are done on an instanced map. Unfortunately, you either need two accounts or someone willing to help. If you can find someone else who also wants those badges, you're good to go. I ran overnight heal farms back on live (when the requirement was 1 billion HP healed) and would sometimes have more than a full team of people show up. You need the Longbow Defender gladiator which, if I recall correctly, is earned for 50 PvP rep. If you're going for all the badges, you'll need that anyway. You start a gladiator match in the Arena with the Longbow Defender and a bunch of low-cost spuds and set them to defensive so they spam the heal. Since you can't have an Arena match without an opponent, you need another player or a second account.
  17. Combination of both? I dunno. I never have any issue at the MSR but you say you sometimes have SOME lag.
  18. You can pull up your info (or anyone's) without going to the menu, as follows: Hit <ENTER> to activate the chat line Type: /info Hit <ENTER> That will bring up the info window for anyone you have targeted, or yourself if no one is targeted. Personally, I like to read people's bio's and other details so I have the /info command bound to the i key.
  19. It's DJ Zero's server closet - maintained by top men in the field.
  20. Yay! You got your sass back! 🙂
  21. What?! You have a problem with a broadsword scrapper having the word 'blade' in his name? I feel called out by this! 😛
  22. The implication being that he 'sacrifices' the chicken by beating it with the keyboard?
  23. No. Your OPINION is that it was a waste of time. However, the people actually allocating the time and effort clearly do not agree. I would also point out that they are in a position to know how much effect it will have, while you are not.
