  1. Or just take the big dive off the building and get teleported into the pool.
  2. Personally, I think it's nuts to do it more than once. I have every Ouroboros badge on ONE character. Of course, some people are nuts. There's one forum-goer who has every badge on over a dozen characters - I think one of each AT.
  3. I want the name purge because 5p4rk was taken! No, I wasn't trying to get the name Spark, I actually wanted 5p4rk because I had it on live. I ended up going with 594rk. FYI, all of the above is true except where I say I want the name purge. I don't actually care. 594rk is already level 50 and fully tier 4 incarnate and specifically built for tanking the Avatar of Hamidon in the Underground trial.
  4. Why not? I have a few dozen 50's, so why not have multiple copies of my favorite? I have Ironblade on every shard and every one of them is level 50. Two of them are fully tier 4 incarnate.
  5. Don't get me started. My girlfriend keeps finding the weirdest potato chips. The most recent find was 'Basil Pesto Potato Chips'. I can't even.
  6. Oh no! Stupid and incompetent team leader has blacklisted me! How can I go on?!?!?!
  7. Yeah, that comes up occasionally in economic news. "We're going to boycott Russian oil!" "That never works, because crude oil is fungible." "What?"
  8. After loading into the Magisterium trial. "Badges. Do it!"
  9. Well, let's establish some context here. Anyone who actually tells you, "Reported" is, at the very minimum, a drama queen. At worst, they're a total a-hole but we don't have enough evidence to establish that. On the few occasions that I've reported people (either for racial slurs or truly vulgar profanity), I say nothing to them and file the report. Then I block them, since it's clear they are of such a small-minded nature that they could never utter any words I would find of value. Edit: On a side note, I've had people tell me "Reported" after I either criticized their inappropriate behavior (but not bad enough for me to report them) or kicked them from a task force for the same type of behavior. I don't know if they actually did report me and don't care. At any rate, nothing ever came of it.
  10. I can. Because I saw it only ONCE. Back in the early days of live, with a team full of thoroughly gimped characters who NEEDED the respec.
  11. LOL, okay. You needed five paragraphs to tell us that *YOU* don't like a particular effect. Understood.
  12. Good news: they actually last three minutes.
  13. It fell 'flat'. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
  14. Oooo, that's a line worthy of The Sphinx in 'Mystery Men'. "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."
  15. Oh, it's a pigeon? To me, it looked like a little hat with a propeller on it. I guess I should have zoomed in for a closer look.
  16. To be fair, it takes a little longer than one minute. An electric toothbrush is far more effective than a manual one and the built-in timer say 30 seconds per quadrant so two full minutes of actual brushing. Consumer Reports did a review of dozens of brands of toothpaste and concluded that Colgate's regular formula was the best you could buy, primarily because it has crushed seashells in it for a bit of abrasiveness. It was "measurably" better, but not a lot better. After that, it was something like a 20-way tie for second place among all the toothpastes that use the maximum amount of fluoride allowed by law. So, they said if you want the absolute best, use Colgate. If cost is at all a concern, use Costco's Kirkland brand since it was in that 20-way tie for second place and is far cheaper than any other toothpaste of similar quality. My dentist recommends brushing twice a day with a different toothpaste for each: Colgate because it's the best, and also Arm & Hammer because it's one of the second-best and one of the least abrasive toothpastes on the market.
  17. Troll or not, the point I made in my post is valid. I was posting to make it clear it was bad advice so that new players aren't led astray.
  18. Seriously, how the hell does the first person even find something like that?
  19. Your forum account was created on February 14th and you must have a forum account to make a game account. This means that, at the time of this post, you have been playing for a maximum of 44 days. You have NOT been playing for a long time. Most of your post is objectively bad advice. Please understand that my goal with this statement is to inform other new players reading this thread so that they will know not to do these things. At the very minimum, a better strategy is to take the reward merits, buy converters and sell them on the auction house. One reward merit buys 3 converters, which sell for around 70,000 inf. There are *FAR* better strategies to make money, but they require more time and knowledge.
  20. Actually, the one for doing it uphill both ways in the snow is the 'Worthy Opponent' badge.
  21. I think this is a significant factor. I can tell you that I attend every single RHW run, on a character that I created ONLY for the RHW badge attempts. He's a beam rifle/kinetics corr with every single power and slotting decision made with the RHW badge in mind. By my count, I've taken him on RHW runs 85 times so I kind of know the drill. And the Everlasting TF's channel has an entire cadre of hardcore players and there's usually several of them on every RHW run. Frequently, we have Veracor tanking (you know, the guy with something like 20,000 vet levels). Back in the early days of the badge, we used to do RHW with something like 20 corrs *REQUIRED* or we wouldn't even attempt it and just a couple of 'carry' slots to get people the badge. Nowadays, if we have half a dozen or so hardcore players, at least 5 corrs, at least 3 people with kinetics, the rest of the league isn't that big of a deal. But yeah, like lemming suggests, having a handful of SERIOUS players on the league makes a huge difference.
  22. Yes. Ironblade has the mini character, enough costumes to get the badges plus 5-6 more. Currently, he has about 700 prismatic aether that I'm not sure what to do with. I have not purchased any. When you say "most of us", I'm guessing you mean the players who frequent the Market forum. Because that sure as hell ain't chump change for the average player. Are you talking about the Monstrous Aether? As I recall, there is no 'drop rate', per se. Giant monsters each drop a fixed number of MA (different for different monsters) and there is no percentage chance involved and no other way to get them. Prismatics have a 2% chance to drop upon completing a mission. I do recall ONE drop rate that is a fraction of 1% and that would be the odds of getting the Hamidon Bud vanity pet from killing a bud.
  23. As Yogi Berra might have said: No one goes to Excelsior any more. It's too crowded. 🙂
