Agree, wholeheartedly. I differ in that along with @tidge I take taunt at 10 (or 12), because with the Prestige attacks (Sands of Mu, Blackwand and Nemesis Staff), the tanker primaries are a priority. Sure, certain combos might dictate another attack or two, especially if I'm using the first two attacks taken to slot the ATO(s) - and prioritizing the procs. But I'm old and more casual (read: lazy), so if I want frantic, I'll pull out the Kin/Dark defender or one of the MMs 😁

I've found with 3.5.5.10, you can change the file type and open legacy builds.

I still take Jab, since I put the +absorb ATO (SGF) in it. My flawed proc-math (aka butt-dyno) says it's more effective/fires more often. Could be wrong.

I agree with everything Zem said, but this, especially. Just try to aggro "Romulus the Runner", in the ITF, without it. I one slot it with the Perfect Zinger psi damage proc, because without a recharge IO, it's more like 4-5 seconds, and I can't remember a time I needed it faster than that... Don't really need the damage, I just think it's hilarious, especially if it's the kill shot.

If the AH is low on inventory or outrageously expensive, this is the best way. Having said that, you'll need 1,200 merits to get all twelve Tank ATOs, then 12 catalysts to "superior-ize" them.

I've never done a direct comparison (time vs. infl), but my "feels meter" says I get more purple drops with the EB one. Probably should "farm" some data... I do average right at 15 min. on the non-EB and about 20-25 on the EB version, depending on how focused I am. I don't use any of the insp combining binds, either, I just chew what drops and when I notice three of a kind, convert to reds. Whatever drops for the tank, I give to the brute, as well. I also move on, after all the Lts and Bosses are dead, dragging the remaining EBs with me, to the next mob. Having the tank tagging along is a HUGE plus, to keep stragglers aggro'd and hugging close. Even though NUT's an ITF-focused build, he just stands there and shrugs off the fire attacks, while stomping away. Lots of AOE to keep whittling them down and I'll reach over to the other keyboard and throw some KoBs in there, as well.

Personally, I'm still rolling with an old school Spines/Fire brute, dual boxing, with a Inv/SS tank on follow (w/ Foot Stomp on auto). Still running @BigGotter's tunnel fire farms, usually with EBs. Certainly not AFK-able and probably not the fastest or most optimized out there, but it works.

Couple threads to help you out:

Exc is the first Tuesday of the month....so coming up June 6th. Usually have a huge turnout for the Excelsior events, so come on out! WSTs are usually on the menu and there is always a missions team (or two), led by a 50, so newbies and/or lower-level toons can get into the action. The months with five Tuesdays then offer (like next week) an MSR or some other big event. Those also rotate, so this time the MSR is on Torch. I've been successful on three machines by a simple Windows uninstall of Mids (one still had both Mid's Hero Designer and Mid's Reborn) and using the 3.5.5.7 installer (also required an .Net update but driven by Mids), followed by the in-app update tool to 3.5.5.10. Then there's an option in Mids (under File menu) to "Legacy Import" from forum post. Hope that helps.

Thanks, Nyght! TTT (Tanker Tuesday Tour) is a unique experience, for sure. Had a player on Everlasting, last Tuesday, say they hadn't joined a TT since Live and was stoked that it was still a thing. He was on our Hess team and we had a blast. In some of those large Council base rooms (or caves), we easily had 50+ mobs herded (probably closer to 100). What a glorious sight/experience. Seriously, if you haven't experienced a TT event, we'll be on Indom, this coming Tuesday. We usually run one of the WSTs, but will *always* have a missions team, to assure tanks of all levels have something they can join. And don't forget the +psi damage proc in the Perfect Zinger set. Conceptually, it is hilarious to me that a tank can cause mental harm by intimidation 😆

My pleasure, as always. What a great Hess run we had. Full team but a mix of Ex'd Incarnates, SO builds and leveling tanks. Finished a +2 KM in 42 min. Lots of laughs and Witty only died a couple of times, as well! Hope to be on Reunion on Saturday (what should we be up to level-wise? 30-ish?) but definitely on Indom, next week.

Rad is a resistance armor, so make sure your resistances (will be harder to reach with cold) are 90%, with one stack of Might of the Tanker ATO proc. Your greatest strengths (clickie wise) are your absorb shield/regen in Particle Shielding and heal in Ground Zero (which is also damage proc-bombable), so pump up that recharge! You also get a bonus chance for a smaller absorb shield with the Gauntleted Fist ATO proc. There are different schools of thought on where to put the ATOs, I like fast charging, often used attacks, some prefer AOE damage auras. MA adds defense, but without DDR, your defense can (and will) be quickly stripped away by debuffers. Until that time, or in the absence of debuffers, it's just gravy, so not a bad thing.
