  1. My human Warshade siphons off of enemies' deaths far more than she siphons off their life. 😛 (Yes, I know there's teh self-heal power, but far more of the powers use dead bodies). Though I suppose if you're a hero, you're siphoning off their life because heroes arrest and not kill.
  2. I assumed Seraphim was talking about the Kinetics that Defenders and the like get, not Kinetic Melee. Since in the "ranged" version, Kin uses Transfusion to siphon life.
  3. You should be seeing "Shocked" over the enemies' heads when you deal extra damage on an end-drained target.
  4. The only thing that might be "easy" about the current bio editor is if you can one-shot your bio into it without needing to hit backspace or edit anything. It's beyond irritating to hit backspace to correct a mistake only to have the cursor jump about to a wildly different location and me trying to figure out where it went and what got messed up.
  5. I think Shade was responding to my comment about a more in-depth thread on these forums regarding how to apply/sign-in for the closed beta testing. 🙂
  6. 🤣 I imagine that could be rather deadly
  7. Little bit of a dump here since it's been a while. First up is Double Entendrea - Illusion/Trick Arrow Controller Bio: The demon Drea found herself fascinated by humans, especially with the way they talk. She left Hell to go be a part of their world, settling in Paragon City/The Rogue Isles as it seemed like somewhere other supernatural creatures also gathered to help her blend in a little more. After discovering a form of speech called a Double Entendre, an idea of what to call herself clicked: Double Entendrea. Even her new name was a double entendre as part of her powers include the ability to create doubles of herself. Beware teaming with this demon if you dislike puns and double entendres. Radiant Crystal - Empathy/Seismic Defender Radical Rey - Rad/Mental Blaster Fortune's Told - Fortunata Bio: Do you want to play a game? Take a chance? Pick a card? Then come on down and have your Fortune's Told! Don't worry, there's no cost... just try to ignore that tickling sensation in your mind. Relax and join Arachnos' fold... lest you wish to face the widow's bite! Protector Kael - Invuln/Dark Tanker
  8. I feel like you'll notice a positive difference after you get Entangling Aura. Even if extra mobs come into you, you'll have a chance of holding them and keeping them from being devastating.
  9. No worries!
  10. The only thing I didn't see addressed in that thread (unless I just missed it), is how to actually get into the closed beta itself to help test. Yes, I signed up for the Discord and absolutely want to help, but there's not much info past that about how we can actually get in and help test. As one person in the thread you posted mentioned, there's another set of forums to presumably sign up for, but being able to register for them is currently disabled. I'm asking this for others who may be like me and want to help, since just the Discord doesn't get us into the actual closed beta so we can help. 🙂 Edit: Just gonna throw it out there that I did get this figured out on the Discord, though I didn't see it readily visible (or I'm just stupid, which is totally possible), but it might be worth noting for others who are interested in signing up.
  11. Not if you're looking to have him to wield Mjolnir, as the OP mentioned. 🙂
  12. I don't think Time has any abilities that require you to be grounded, so if most seem to be grounded, my guess is it's because it's cheaper on end to run CJ instead of Hover
  13. @TrixieKixx my sign-up looks kind of funny without my character's name on there. 😅🤣
  14. I agree with the first half of this; for some reason, especially on the female body, they are not scaled/sized right, which *can* make them look stupid. As an avid lover of animal/monstrous type characters, you can make it work, it just requires some fiddling with the body sliders. I typically only use the female body, so I usually have to bring in the shoulders and reduce the physique some (but not too much) and they'll look a little more "normal." Or at least a little less ridiculous and out of place. It would be nice to see them either be something we can adjust closer to how the bodies can be adjusted, or if a future pass can be made at them so they don't look so awkward on various versions of a body type.
  15. I mean, this question is truly one that can really only be answered by "go with whatever floats your boat/is your playstyle." If you run Time's Juncture, you need to learn to be okay with being in melee. Which can be done while hovering. I am slightly confused by this notion that to hover means you always need to be super far away (and yes, I realize that hovering in range, especially melee range, means you are going to get hit/take more hits). So either you use hover to start building your defenses and hover in melee range (or joust in and out), you use some other means of building defense to play in melee, or you skip taking Time's Juncture (idk if that's advisable; my experience with Time isn't that knowledgable) and play in a ranged, hover style. But there's no reason you can't hover in range of still being able to make your debuffs useful. I have a couple of toons who do it and I've seen others do it. Hence my general confusion at the topic/question.
  16. I will join with Radically Chill - Ice/Rad Controller
  17. This, exactly. Don't matter how long they take to apply if you're just blasting through content. My Rad characters never apply their debuff toggles until we hit a hard EB/AV. I'd hardly call TA slow either, imo. And it's big debuffs aren't needed on regular mobs. Flash is up fast enough to use for every mob, which is about all you need anyhow. Traps is often considered a slow set, but I play it like Captain mentions. You don't need every tool for every situation. You can typically gauge how your team is doing and how fast/slow the mobs are being mowed down to determine which debuffs you need and when. Even with poison you're probably not applying Envenom and w/e the name of the other one is every fight.
  18. @Yomo Kimyata XP debt is still a thing, it's just hard to notice on fast moving teams, and especially if you have a double xp boost while leveling. I can't speak much to it at level 50 as I'm not paying attention to my XP bar once I hit 50. It's there, but it's definitely not crippling like back in live days.
  19. Arguably Thermal's 2 best powers are its 2 killer debuffs (the T8 & T9). Poison, Rad is probably the most famous debuff set, Storm brings both offense and debuffs, technically even Kin debuffs enemies. Just depends on your playstyle/concept.
  20. Derp, I even knew that. 😅 It being different anyway; I've never actually used it. I'm not fond of the fact that it also blows up your henchmen as well. I'd still take Gun Drone in its place, though maybe that might make /Traps a little OP on MMs lol.
  21. I don't think you're alone in this. I feel like since returning from my few months' hiatus, that there seem to be more fire/kins about (of the troller variety mostly I think). For me this is on the Everlasting server. And I don't really play any kin characters, so I don't think it's confirmation bias, lol. 🤣
  22. Echoing this. I got the idea from here on the forums and went Invuln/Dark Tank. Mine's still only in her 30's, but even so and with minimal slotting, she's pretty tough. I was maintanking the MJ arc comfortably. I can't explain in detail why this combo feels so good, but they do seem to work together nicely. I find the little heal in DM helps balance your other HP oh shit tool (sorry, the name of it escapes me atm lol).
  23. Ugh stop, I don't need a 20th MM alt, lol. I adore Traps so much, I just wish that the T9 in it could be replaced with the T9 from Devices (Time Bomb is basically worthless, even solo; gimme mah gun drone damn it! xD).
  24. No, I never said you need to rethink; I was just throwing the reminder out there that VG works a bit different on MM's. 🙂 And exactly what you said about Beast/Rad; when you get everything coordinated, it's pretty deadly I know there are plenty of good reasons for why folks don't like to take Rad on an MM, but I don't feel like it's as bad of a secondary as it's been claimed to be. Just not as easy as some other secondaries to do with every primary.
  25. Poison for MM's works a little differently than other AT's that can take it; namely in that VG gets applied to one of your henchmen and not you. Just to note that/clarify that. I'm not sure why this thread got a super necro, but I'm kind of surprised not to see Beasts/Dark mentioned. Of the half dozen or so Beast MM's I have/have tried, this is the only one of mine that I've gotten to level 50. It's not my favorite MM and exists mostly as part of a personal RP storyline, but it is a solid combo that can debuff enemies and keep your beasts up and running with the debuffs even benefiting the MM to play in melee with the beasts, thus making the heal more effective. I have a Beast/Kin that's in her 40's as well. It's a fun but very aggressive and fast combo and makes my head spin a bit trying to keep everything under control. My other highish level Beast MM is a Beast/Rad in her 30's. I haven't soloed with her much, so idk how the pairing works in that regard, but it is actually a pretty fun combo that brings some really desired benefits that teams like (AM, debuff toggles for hard targets).
