I'm not sure I'll be available, but in case I am, I'll bring Radically Chill - Ice/Rad Controller
-
If you look at the Marine powerset, you'll see why. Whitecap jumps you into melee in your tide pool. The amount of buffs and damage mitigation that Marine brings to the table allow melee henchmen to perform their job easier, as well as Marine's own playstyle benefiting directly from playing in melee. I have a Marine MM in pretty much every flavor--it pairs extremely well with Necro and so far seems to be good with Ninjas.

So I went to prep this toon to be ready for next weekend, only to discover that somehow she made it to level 50 with pretty much nothing slotted. It's super weird for me because I generally have at least basic IOs and SOs going. Since I won't have time to mess with her to that level this week, I will instead bring Polly Shockit - Electric/Electric Corruptor Btw, as a Girl Scout troop leader; I love the theme! 😄
-
Oh okay cool; I think I confused Kahn with Quarterfield--it's one I've never done before I don't think. I will try to be there on Adraxia - Mercs/Traps MM
-
Is Kahn the TF that's like 3 hours long?
-
My apologies, but I actually won't be there tomorrow either. I'm going to go spend the day with my mom and daughter.

Phara the Radiant - Demons/Rad MM -
The post you quoted is from 2019...

Sorry; not sure why I thought Elec's hold got the adaptive changes too.
-
Just as an FYI, as of the most recent patch, the AoE hold should be affected by the new adaptive recharge effects, meaning it can be used and up just about every pack. Electric Control also received some updates as of this last patch as well regarding the confuse and jolting chain.

I'm a big fan of my Energy/Martial Blaster. I have KB->KD in my AoEs and joust in and out of melee range.
-
I hope to be there on Cutsie Wutsie - Savage/Bio Brute

Our lineup from Saturday's Market Crash: Edit: I feel like I'm missing someone. I think we had a 5th person, but I must not have gotten a pic of them.

Wealth redistribution system to help new players
TygerDarkstorm replied to Intermipants's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm sorry, but we should not just be handing out large amounts of influence to new players simply because they're new. Everyone should be learning how to generate influence on their own. Others have already touched on the fact that you're always going to have bad apples as well and that this sort of system would be set up to fail as someone will go in and snatch all the inf to horde it as opposed to it actually being spread around. Teaching someone how to achieve something they want is often better than just handing it to them. -
What Other Hobbies Interest You Besides Gaming?
TygerDarkstorm replied to Abraxus's topic in Off-Topic
These are so pretty! If I'm not reading, I like to make hair bows, keychains, stuffies, etc., lol. You can find me at @ashedcreations on Instagram -
I forgot to get pics of the actual run, but I did take pics of everyone who joined that I'll post later. We had a fun Market Crash run. 🙂 Thanks for hosting Umber!

A dominator is capable of fully locking a spawn down, thus allowing you to safely enter into melee to beat up mobs. Keep in mind, blasters are also squishy and lack the benefit of locking spawns down, but their strongest abilities are melee oriented ones.

Demon/Rad I went with this build. I have some "?s"
TygerDarkstorm replied to ResToons's topic in Mastermind
For most MM primaries the personal attacks provide additional debuffs/effects to your henchmen. And while they aren't super high damaging, they're often worth taking. Many can be procced, and any extra damage you can bring to the table helps defeat mobs. And just on a personal note, I like playing a more active MM. It's possible to play one where you don't attack much and just send the henchmen in and use your secondary/epic as needed, but imo, that's kind of boring. -
Storm is rather well known as a support powerset that actually brings a lot of damage to the table. Cold has sleet, not that that does a whole lot of damage since it's mostly used for the debuffing. Trick arrow has the oil arrow, and Marine has shifting tides.

Demon/Rad I went with this build. I have some "?s"
TygerDarkstorm replied to ResToons's topic in Mastermind
Rad's not always a super active secondary, but for these powersets, you should be playing pretty actively. For demons you want to be using 1 or more of the whip attacks because they apply a -res debuff (and they look cool), and with rad you should be applying buffs/debuffs as necessary. You then fill in your regular duties with power pool and epic abilities (plus judgement, etc once you hit 50 and get things unlocked). I'm not great at doing builds, but imo, you're overslotted for end recovery. I do not think you need 3 slots in stamina along with an end rec set in AM. I am not sure if AM even really needs slotting outside of a recharge IO, but I'll let smarter folks than me comment to that. The fly speed IOs in hover seem unnecessary as well; if you need extra speed, then you should also grab Evasive Maneuvers (which also provides other good benefits). If anything, hover needs defense or end red, but again, defer to the experts. You also appear to be missing the pet unique IOs that offer your henchmen better survivability (I can't think of their names off the top of my head atm). Hasten usually gets 2 slots and 2 50+5 IOs, you're missing a healing proc in health (I forget which is the preferred, but this will also help with end). Only taking Spirit Ward from the Sorcery pool is an odd choice. Again, I'm not an elite builder, but this seems like too many slots devoted to powers that wouldn't typically have these slots. I'm fairly certain that many of the powers that you have 6 slotted do not need that many slots. You also haven't taken any of the whip attacks which is a huge mistake with demons. Choking Cloud is also potentially worth looking into as it offers further mitigation against you and your henchmen taking damage. -
Dark Miasma also recolors pretty nicely into a sand look, and you have the option to remove the skulls from the animations. Edit: The standard, non-soul noir version of Dark Miasma. I realized I should have specified after posting. Also sorry, didn't realize you had already looked into Dark and didn't like it. It would help if I read all the way.

I am not a fan of the Shard TFs, namely because many of them are long, so Shardtober is something I will be skipping (and please don't change your plans for me, I know you all like doing Shardtober).
-
Since we now have enough for mirror image, I'll be there on Lil Bo Peep
-
If we decide to go this route, I'll bring Shock N Shout - Electric/Sonic Dominator

Looking for an AT for Psi/Fire, Fire/Psi
TygerDarkstorm replied to Clave Dark 5's topic in Archetypes
I have a Psi/Fire sent who has ended up being one of my favorite sents to play. I tend to joust in and out of melee with her. I'm more of a teamer rather than a soloer, so I'm not sure how well the pairing does solo.
