  1. I will have the time this weekend, so I will be there on Lurking Monster - Human Form WS
  2. Agreed. Not only do I like HC, admittedly the population here is a huge draw. Knowing I can pop onto Everlasting and get on a team within minutes is really nice. I also appreciate that HC has drastically reduced the "grind" to get to 50. My play time is extremely limited and I'm pretty much an uber casual, so I like what's offered here. Sorry, yes, population is a huge draw, and definitely probably THE game feature, as you mention; I know it plays a strong contender for me.
  3. From what I've seen of them on Reddit, Rebirth has a dev team that feels a lot like HC's team (e.g., really care about making the right kinds of changes, wanting to make sure additions are tested well before being released, building a solid experience, etc.); if I wanted to test out other servers, it would probably be them. Imo, their biggest issue is that HC has the vast majority of the CoH population.
  4. Aw, thank you so much! That means a lot to hear that given the amazing talent of costume designers in here. ❤️ She's definitely one of my proudest and most favorite creations, and the idea came about randomly as I was in the character creator and the randomizer had picked a half helmet option and I got to playing with them.
  5. Yeah, I love the Reverb, but he was better before they "fixed" him in beta and made him ranged. I get that's what he was supposed to be all along, but before when he had the default AI, little dude was in melee tanking sometimes 2 groups on my test controller. We didn't get as much time to test him once they gave him his proper ranged AI, but we did bring up that now that he's ranged he doesn't like to engage properly and the echoes of our powers don't feel as effective. I haven't leveled up my Symph characters on live far enough yet to get the Reverb, my experiences are purely from playing the set in beta.
  6. It is indeed the Valkyrie chest, found under the regular tights/tops/whatever they call that for males option. 🙂
  7. Eek, I'm not sure I have a good opinion for that. I still think the same questions in my initial post might apply--do you want to keep more of your attacks, or more of your support?
  8. Which is... where it says... it is...? Or am I blind.
  9. Come on now mate, it's clearly a suggestion. 😛 And one I would love to see implemented! I hate that if I want to use some of the face masks that integrate into the body, I have to use the standard Tights option in order for it to look good. Would love to match them to the Sleek option as well.
  10. It really depends on what you want to do with the toon. Both AT's are good for this combo (Scourge + Disentegrate can be fun). If you want to be something of a hard-target debuff specialist, then I would lean towards a defender (Beam brings some decent single target -res). For soloing/casual play, I'd personally probably roll it as a corruptor (I'd want my attacks first and that Scourge/Disentegrate combo), but you could make it work with a defender too. Just gotta figure out which powers you want first; your beam powers or your rad powers. And if you plan to team, take your debuff toggles because they're awesome, but don't expect to use them much in regular play. They're most handy for if your team encounters a hard target that can't be nuked down quickly. Edit: Also, you may want to think about whether or not you want to take Choking Cloud; Beam can play in melee, but it tends to be more comfortable ranged. If you choose to take it I would learn to get comfortable jousting or skip both of the cone attacks in Beam (imo, the second one is skippable anyway since it's an extremely small cone and takes forever to get it to line up proper so it'll hit more than one target).
  11. Fiery Payload - Fire/TA Corruptor. One of Dr. Elaina Wrath's creations and member of the House of Wrath.
  12. Hee, Midnyte, you always capture such great photos and provide great commentary. 😄 I totally forgot to write a little blurb for Beast's bio (there's a whole theme of beast elementals I created on Everlasting), but I love the 3 pics you caught of her for the individual showcase. 😄
  13. Even though I am not a hard mode player, MM's are my favorite AT and I am sad for those of you fellow MMer's who do like to do harder diff stuff that our beloved AT cannot even attempt to compete/feel useful in the new content. I hope the devs will look at this (guess no one was testing MM's in this content on beta?) and make some adjustments so that those who want to bring MM's to these hard mode trials may do so.
  14. I dropped the name Folk Lore if anyone wants to use it.
  15. That discussion happened during the open beta testing, so anyone who wanted to be privy to it, could have been. It is not the dev's fault if people don't go test stuff when it's available for testing and provide feedback on it. We had been having discussion on the set and the confuse power for weeks. Symphony has a unique and different playstyle to it, one of which is, you generally don't open with the confuse power. Also, it's a cheeseable power--I did some random testing on the streets of using the power at max range (where there was more than one mob), and sometimes it pissed off the mob's friends and caused them to aggro to me, and other times it didn't. I spent hours testing this set on beta because I thoroughly enjoy it, even with the confuse as is. On my Symph/Sonic controller, I skipped the confuse entirely and didn't feel as if I was missing anything or needed it. I took it on my Symph/Dark and use it to confuse LT's while I beat up their minion friends. You can even open with the sleep ability now that damage doesn't wake them up and then proceed to confuse away--I believe I saw someone in the feedback thread (or maybe it was Tex's Symph thread) mention the contagious confusion proc works rather well in the power (or I'm mixing up that person's comment and it was said about Arctic Air or Elec's confuse). With some powersets/AT's feeling so homogenous, I rather enjoy that Symphony brings about a different playstyle for the control AT's, each of whom will warrant a different strategy for using the set. For controllers, it is a very blasty, and damaging set that really wants you to slot its powers for damage and play a bit like a pseudo blaster (e.g., you don't want a secondary that is super busy like ElecAff or Kin); it's actually one of the few sets that plays better on a controller than a dom. For dom's they're going to prefer a more ranged playstyle, so they'll want to pair it with something like Fire or Dark to get optimal positioning for the cones. I'm not saying folks have to like Symph's confuse, but that we had this discussion already about it, and the dev's have already said that's not how they wanted to use the power and that the powerset is intended to have a different playstyle/feel to it.
  16. This was already debated and answered rather heavily in the focused feedback thread for Symphony Control in beta: Essentially, Symphony is not supposed to have a "typical" control style play-style. The confuse is not intended to be your opener, per se, and it notifying and doing damage fit with the intended theme of the set. Among the feedback here and in other threads related to Symph, strategies have been discussed for how to make the most of the set, and if you play it kind of how Captain Powerhouse mentions, you don't mind the notification of the mobs as much because ideally you've opened up with some other power (usually the stun iirc), and then just slap the confuse on someone who you think will benefit you the most as you utilize your other skills.
  17. Fauna = animals, Flora = plants. 🙂 Unless the bouquet of flowers you're looking to place is some sort of animal flower, then please ignore this. 😅
  18. If I had to guess, I'd say it's one of the Talons hoods, or the Egyptian hat combined with what looks like the fox ears.
  19. Same, I'm on board for whatever's made for us as well; my brain just did a derp this weekend on this one for some reason. 😅 Been wanting to play the dark/dark fender anyway, so it works out. 🙂
  20. My workaround for this is to immediately expand all of my powers trays to 3, and then adjust the initial powers on the bars before I log back out of the toon. One issue I've had with breakout in particular was that my villain received no xp during or upon leaving and left the tutorial zone still at level 1 instead of 2 as is typical.
  21. The first part of the theme says "All Dark Powers" and then it mentions what to do for the costume. I don't roll many x/x pairings myself, so I'm trying to figure out which kind of dark/dark I would want to bring/create. Edit: Actually @TrixieKixx I know who I want to bring. I should hopefully be there Saturday on Beast of Soul - Dark/Dark Defender
  22. To me, all dark powers means both sets, but I mean, you could make that go so far as to mean epic pools too. Figured it's worth asking to make sure I plan the right character lol
  23. Wait, all dark powers? So both powersets? Asking because Midnyte's choice is only one dark powerset. Want to make sure I plan correctly.
  24. I have seen numerous complaints and feedback regarding some of these old TF's and how revamps of them would make them more pleasant. I understand you may not want them, but this isn't the thread to bitch about Page 4 changes and changes to the old, tedious TF Commander TF's have been asked for a fair amount.
  25. My daughter has gotten sick, so we won't be going to that birthday party tomorrow, so I plan to be there on Ashe Flaye - PainDom/Beam Defender. 🙂
