  1. Had this the other day on a Triple Threat badge run (where you have to defeat Chimera, Shadow Hunter and Nega-Pendragon within 5 seconds of each other). League was split into 3 teams, each on an AV. @Oklahoman was giving very clear instructions to take each down to 2% and hold. I was giving similar instructions to my team on Shadow Hunter (I was tanking him), when somebody from a different team deliberately griefed the attempt and defeated Shadow Hunter before the kill order. It's not an easy badge to begin with, but that's uncalled for.
  2. Don't skip Short Circuit. While the damage isn't great, it's a potent tool for draining endurance and stopping endurance recovery. Combined with your other attacks, you can literally incapacitate an entire spawn (including bosses). I have it 6-slotted with Synapse's Shock.
  3. I have an Ice/Savage and it's definitely an endurance hog. In addition to the suggestions above, there's a short list of IO sets that offer Endurance Discount as a set bonus. It can be tough to fit these on a dominator if you're also chasing recharge for perma-dom. Resist Damage/Unbreakable Guard - 2.5% discount w/ 2 pieces Ranged AoE/Annihilation - 3.0% discount w/ 5 pieces Teleport/Warp - 3.0% discount w/ 3 pieces Healing/Preventative Medicine - 3.75% discount w/ 5 pieces Defense/Reactive Defense - 3.75% discount w/ 5 pieces

  5. The mission door for the finale of Dream Doctor's story arc (The World's Final Gambit) always has the same location. When you complete that mission, Dream Doctor offers you his Personal Story, which always has a mission door on the other side of Dark Astoria. Then he offers you "Investigate Praetor Duncan's SOS", which always has the same mission door as the story arc finale. Could we eliminate the needless back and forth travel and just have the Personal Story mission door at the same location as the story arc finale?

  6. Compared to most melee cones 50 degree arc is very narrow, but Jacob's Ladder does more damage and has higher DPA than either your T1 or T2 attacks. It's worth taking and using even if you only hit one target. Consider any additional targets hit a bonus.
  7. Sonic Dispersion definitely works on you. Are you confusing it with Disruption Field (ally anchored -res AoE)?

    Earth/Narture

Slot Wild Growth to max resist first, then slot for healing. I typically slot 3-4 pieces of a resist set and 2-3 pieces of a healing set. While the set bonuses are nice, Quicksand doesn't need more than a recharge or slow in the base slot. Earthquake is fine with 2x recharge IOs. YMMV, but I'm not impressed with Lifegiving Spores. Skippable in my book. Spirit Ward is completely unnecessary, especially if you're not going for Rune of Protection (which would give you some mezz protection). Drop Salt Crystals. Take Animate Stone. Very sturdy and will take aggro off you (all its attacks taunt). Take Entangling Aura. Very effective and doesn't need more than 2-3 end/hold IOs.
  9. Depends on level and AT, but generally +1x3 through the 30s and +2x4 after that. With incarnates increases to +3 with a +1 shift or +4 with a +3 shift. Most of my builds are capable of x8, but I find it too much of a slog.
  10. I have Bonfire 6-slotted with the entire Sudden Acceleration set, including the KB>KD piece. I have Fire Cages 6-slotted with Superior Will of the Controller. This is the same slotting I used before p7. I cast Smoke first, then Bonfire, then Fire Cages.
  11. The Rikti Pylons found throughout the zone now con as Level 54 rather than ignoring level mods. This change is having an unintended consequence. There are several mission doors in the Heartbreak Ridge section that require you to pass near the pylons. These pylons previously conned as +1 but are now +11 to a lvl 43 player and see through invisibility. I was 1-shot twice trying to get to a mission door and once after exiting.
  12. All except the ranged cone. They stack with each other but with the same power.
  13. I just ran through Provost Marchand's 2nd arc set to +3/x4 on my lvl 50 Fire/Nature controller (+1 lvl shift). It's got a wide mix of foes, including Freakshow, Crey, Council and Praetorians, and a lot of tough bosses. Except for a handful of situations where the geography didn't allow, I opened every fight with Bonfire and rarely used Flashfire. Other than fliers or foes with kb protection, every member of every spawn flopped in unison every time Bonfire pulsed. I saw no evidence of foes standing around not getting knocked.
  14. Before 2005? That's when its resistance was reduced.
  15. Arsenal, Electric, Ice, Mind, Plant The slow in Hot Feet is -87.5% and has a 20 ft radius. This compares to -90% and a 25 ft radius for Quicksand and -81.25% cone for Cold Snap. Not "weak" by any stretch.
  16. Not often, but I am signed up with the Discord channels for HC, Mid Reborn, Task Force Junkies and ULTRA. If the leader of an Incarnate Trial or HM invites participants to a voice channel I will often join. (My SG still has a Discord channel, but we stopped using it several years ago. We now use TeamSpeak for voice chat.)
  17. I don't see why not. There are already temp and day job powers that placate.
  18. I don't agree that the change to Bonfire was as massive as you suggest. It went from a 40% KD chance every 2s to a 20% KD chance every 1s. Yes it works differently, but I don't find it to be "much more noticeably pathetic". As for adding a slow, that already exists in Hot Feet. I haven't played Arsenal so I can't comment on Smoke Canister, but I don't think Fire needs an AoE confuse. There are enough control sets with that. I wouldn't complain if the -tohit in Smoke was increased a bit.
  19. Masterminds don't get Voltaic Sentinel.
  20. It is for blasters, corruptors, defenders and sentinels. For whatever reason, they didn't change the dominator version. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=corruptor_ranged.electrical_blast.voltaic_sentinel&at=corruptor
  21. Sorry, not how I read it.
  22. Incorrect. Shadow Fall, Steamy Mist and other stealth powers (i.e., Stealth, Super Speed) don't stack with each other, but they all stack with +Stealth IOs. Shadow Fall/Steamy Mist plus a Celerity +Stealth IO will give you invisibility to all but snipers and drones.
  23. Entangle is skippable, but if you're going to take it I would slot for damage, not mezz duration. Roots does better damage than most of the AoE immobilizes. I would also slot this for damage. Slotting Combat Jumping for defense isn't productive. Redeploy those slots elsewhere. Wild Growth should get 6 slots. You want to max out the recharge and the resistance. Slotting for healing (after you've maxed resist) is also useful. Wild Bastion should get 6 slots. You want to max the heal/absorb and recharge. I recommend the full Preventative Medicine set. Don't slot the Numina and Miracle uniques in click powers. They only have a 120s duration. Fly Trap should be slotted with Expedient Reinforcement. Slotting for defense debuff is a waste. Slotting Basilisk's Gaze in Entangling Aura is fine if you want the set bonuses, but all it really needs is 2-3 End/Hold IOs. Slot Rebirth with a recharge IO in the base slot. The set bonuses are nice, but I would slot Overgrowth with 2x recharge IOs and redeploy the remaining slots. I would take Spore Cloud much earlier than lvl 44 and would devote 3-4 slots to it. It's one of the core powers in the set.

    Ice Cold Ice

Ice/Cold provides great support and a lot of soft control, but as you correctly surmise, almost no damage aside from Jack. If you're looking to do damage, I recommend rolling a dominator.
  25. Unlike the other Hybrids, Support isn't a self-only power. It's a league-wide buff with an 80 foot radius and 255-target max. Everyone in range gets an 8% damage, accuracy, defense, mezz and healing buff (the healing and mezz are the "+special"). It works like a mini Power Boost. The reason Hybrid/Support didn't buff Healing Flames is that Healing Flames is flagged to ignore external strength boosts (because the power also provides toxic resistance). The reason it didn't buff your Immunes Surgeon is that the radial support pets are untouchable.
