We GMs rely on community reports to help police the CoC in these instances. We do NOT allow IP-infringing characters on our servers, so we need everyone's help to help us identify potential offenders. As was said earlier, we can't be everywhere at once 😃

As for Aeon, it's a bit of a misnomer. There's a SINGLE Immature Paragon protector in The Crey lab mission, sitting in a side room with the "Unstable" Paragon Protector. If you're used to just rushing through or stealth + TPing to the end, you'll never see them, nor any of the other wonderful easter eggs in that mission.

Prestige for Super Groups Again
GM Impervium replied to Earth Dragon's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Moved to suggestions and feedback. Also, just gonna put this out here now: I forsee this being a fiercely debated topic, so I want to remind everyone to keep it cool =) -
No NPC versions of Arsenal Control/Assault
GM Impervium replied to Maris's topic in [Open Beta] Bug Reports
Moved to Beta Bug reports -
Hey all Don't panic if a post of yours went missing, or if you find someone quoting a post that isn't there. We've been asked to move posts that look like Bug reports to the, er, Bug Report section, so the Devs don't lose track of them. I'm halfway done going through the FF threads, so there'll be a second round of this tomorrow. Keep the feedback coming!

Hey there! So, it COULD be latency/lag. You can see a visualization of your connection by using the command /netgraph 1; if you're seeing a lot of yellow and/or red spikes or blocks, that means your connection is being throttled or losing entire packets, respectively. But if it's all green, and especially if it looks more like a mowed lawn than a grassy field, then your connection is fine, and there's another cause at play. Fixing a connection issue can be a whole 'nother can or worms, which you can ask about if that seems to be the case. You can turn this off by using the command /netgraph 0. As for UI/resolution, eh, maybe? When trying to click on a line of dialogue, the entire line, even the blank spaces between letters or words, is part of the active field. But this "active field" only extends for a few pixels away from the sentence in all directions, so if you're just a little bit off, it may not register. Finally, in the past, we've found quite a few cases of this to be a hardware issue- the mouse, specifically. It may need to be cleaned or replaced, even if it seems to work fine everywhere else. I'm not sure exactly why, but whenever we tell people to replace their mouse, that usually ends up working for them.

This is more of a "Which AT should I play" question, so, moved thread to the Archetypes forum 😃

Check your Messages for additional info on this issue.

Are you sure you're logging into the correct account? I took the liberty of checking into this, and noticed you have more than one. Try logging into an alt account and see if that's where your character is.

Rikti Invasions & Shard-Specific XP Boosts! (Update: Jan 16th)
GM Impervium replied to Widower's topic in Announcements
It's a somewhat self-correcting issue. At 1,500 players, the queue starts up. If people don't want to wait, they'll head to other shards. Hopefully. -
When it comes to base building, HC has made it MUCH easier than on Retail. Nothing costs prestige, and you can build "outside the box" (vertically, anyway). I bring this up as it would be quite doable for many of your alts to share a single base and still have their own space within it. The downside to this approach is that you're still limited to about 18 storage units per base. So if you have 20 alts, they're going to have to share, instead of each having their own inspiration, salvage and enhancement storage.

I seem to recall that the code for this was either removed, or locked down, early on. In either case, OP, while we GMs don't normally make a habit of trying to shut down people's ideas, I feel as though I should take this opportunity to assure you (and everyone else) that this sort of thing is not needed. Our financial needs are met by monthly donations, and our donation target each month is often reached within a day, if not just a few hours. Still, we appreciate the thought behind it!

NCSOFT & Homecoming License Announcement
GM Impervium replied to Homecoming's topic in Announcements
What this boils down to is that you're not allowed to name your Supergroup "Arachnos". You MAY name your SG "West Coast Arachnos" "Arachnos Special Forces" "Mercy Island 3rd battalion Arachnos", etc. Just so long as you're not attempting to claim ownership of the canon group.- 593 replies

Hmm... yeah, that's integrated graphics. CoH doesn't play nice with that sort of thing. Even though CoH isn't a very demanding game by modern standards, its engine was built with "desktops having a discreet graphics card" in mind. You might want to try freeing up RAM and CPU usage by closing out other programs, and running CoH on a fresh reboot. You can also use Windows Update to make sure you have the latest video drivers available, that might help a little. Lowering the in-game resolution might help, as well (though that'll make things look blurry). If you want, also try this: in your windows search bar, type "dxdiag". Run the program. Then, have it save a log report. Send this text file to me directly via forum DM, and I'll take a look at it to see if maybe there's some other issue. Don't post the file in this thread; it may contain personal identifying information.

It would be good to know what graphics card you have, and how much memory your system has installed.

Hi there Try reducing your graphic settings one at a time. It might be one of the advanced shadow or reflection settings that, for whatever reason, is giving your PC a hard time. Or, other way around: reduce everything to minimum, and crank up slowly from there. Also, post your specs, maybe something will stand out as being a problem.

Any teaser what is being worked on? (archived)
GM Impervium replied to Troo's topic in Open Beta Testing
Poor Godzilla =( -
They were called "Training Origin", and would enhance a power attribute by something like 8%. So while static attributes like accuracy and recharge would see a minor improvement if you stacked a couple, damage enhancements on low-level characters character would be completely unnoticeable (what's 8% of 10 damage? 10.08 damage).

Given that the info presented in this thread is out of date, I'll be locking it now to avoid future necromancy. Thank you for the heads up.

Not sure if this counts as a "costume bug", but a user on discord posted this screenshot of his character with a jetpack, which seems to duplicate itself: He says that his teammates see it happening to him, as well, so it's not a "local" display error.

Just doin' my part... For real though, each of the GMs are all pretty good about this. Once in a while we even race each other to resolve a ticket that came in! But either way, I appreciate the props, so, thank you 😃

Yeah I think this has run its course.

So, the folks in this thread mostly have the right idea. I'll add for clarification's sake that we prefer that users provide both the character name and global name when sending in a report. Note that, due to font and spelling shenanigans, that you should probably copy/paste the other user's name and global instead of just manually typing them. "lNSTIGAT0R" has an L and a zero in it, which may be hard to tell at a glance, and it will be harder to find the relevant log if you assume it was spelled correctly. But otherwise, yes: Report, Ignore, and Move on.

If you haven't already, you can fill out a support ticket with any information you DO remember (global name, character names/shards, e-mail address used, etc) and we can look into it. The e-mail address would be best, as we can send an e-mail to that address linking back to the forums and have you sign in on the other account, and from there you can see your game sign-in name and reset your password if necessary.
