  1. So, while this thread belongs in off-topic, or maybe comic/hero culture, I'm gonna let this sit in general for a bit for visibility. EDIT: moved to Comic/hero culture. Figured it was left in General long enough. /em holdtorch
  2. Sentinel questions are better off posted in the sentinel sub forum, so, moved 😃
  3. With this event concluded, closing the thread per OP's request.

  5. You fools... This was only a TASTE of the power available to be wielded! There actually IS a "Flock of Segulls" npc that's 4-6 seagulls flying in formation. But I was afraid availing that much power to the masses would have ended in universe-ending paradoxes, so, a single gull had to do. 😃
  6. *Pokes head in* *Leers suspiciously at everyone* *Slowly pulls head out of the doorway while maintaining eye contact with @Snarky and shuts the door*
  7. I believe this item is already on the list of things the Devs are looking into, but I'm not sure of feasibility or ETA. However, I can offer a partial solution: the GM team. Step one: Have the SG leader (the character with the red star) tell the person they are not welcome in the base, and ask them to leave. This falls under our rule of "if someone tells you to leave them alone, you must leave them alone". This extends to SG bases. In an RP environment, make sure this is expressed Out of Character. Step two, assuming they refuse: The SG leader should send in a support request, and/or ping @ game master on discord. If someone is available, we can take action. Even if someone isn't available, we can investigate the incident and take necesary actions against the offending account. I know this is not a perfect solution. Sometimes the SG leader or a GM may not be available to facilitate all of this. A non leader may still take these actions, however, we greatly prefer to only communicate with an SG's leader when dealing with SG issues. I must emphasize that step one is VERY important. Entering your SG base and being mildly annoying or socially inept isn't breaking any rules. You have to tell them, under no uncertain circumstances, to leave you alone (and by extension, leave your base). Them not doing so IS breaking a rule, and is actionable. But yes, a way for people to control who can enter or stay in their base would be a good tool to have!
  8. Moved to Dominators forum.
  9. I think Goku and Vegeta were getting jealous of your character's power level, so they booted CoH from the desktop 😃 Jokes aside, send me a dxdiag report. To do this, go into your start menu, type "dxdiag", and hit enter. Run the diagnostics, and there will be a button to save the results to a text file. Send that to me directly and I'll attach it to the bug reports you've sent in. Or, you might see something with a big red flag that can point you at what the issue might be.
  10. Hi, you might get more traction in the tools/downloads subform, so, moved there.
  11. Moved to Suggestions and Feedback
  12. When everyone disagrees with you, it's time to take a step back, instead of watching a thread like a hawk and instantly responding to everything that gets posted. Cool it down, everyone.
  13. I don't see anyone budging on this issue, and we're circling the drain at this point. So, no point in continued discussion.
  14. We're still trying to figure out the issue. Sorry it's taking so long.
  15. This thread was already visited by the mods once, and people are still bickering, so...
  16. As far as I'm aware, Windows 11 is weird about setting programs to "high priority", because when you have Task Manager open, THAT is the active program, and anything else (like CoH) is technically in the background. Task Manager might remember your setting and set CoH to high once it's closed, but if you're multiboxing, it would only do this for the active instance. And also, that would be impossible to prove without... opening task manager and forcing CoH back into the background and making it lose priority again. Also, I believe there's an ingame setting that deals with this sort of thing, but I'm not at my PC to double check. Try looking there.
  17. I was just coming in here to say what Outrider said. That's usually your best option... Though Nerva should have been perfect for that. Weird.
  18. Hi @meyerwolf406 So, when you crash, the game doesn't log your character out. The server doesn't know you had a software issue on your side until it can't communicate with your client anymore. Usually trying to log back in a second time will get you back in. As for the crash dumps, have you been submitting them? If you want, I can make sure someone takes a look; PM me with a crash dump (Don't post it in the thread, it may have personal identity info on it). You can find it in (Your HC directory)\crash. Just send the latest one. If you don't want to do that, fine! I would suggest fiddling with your graphics settings a bit. We've seen issues with the experimental Cel Shading option, so if you're using that, turn it off to see if that improves anything. If you're using HC Launcher, there's an option to "reset graphic on next run". Check that, and the game will automatically launch with minimal settings. You can turn these back up one by one to try and suss out the culprit. Make sure you UNcheck "Reset graphics on next run" before the following time that you play, or else it will re-reset your settings again! ...i hate that last sentence and wish I could think of a better way to have put that. But nonsense aside, wither PM me the crash report, or let us know how reconfigurating your settings goes for you!
  19. Slightly better idea: put a reward merit in the attachment box. It will autofill your global name into the "To" field, as you cannot trade them outside your account. Then remove the reward merit and you're good to go!
  20. Yeah, I left this open hoping OP would learn a thing or two, but, y'all are just trolling him at this point.
  21. I think the issue is that, pre-patch, you would automatically run out of the portal, which you still do when entering a zone from the portal. But now, characters no longer run out of the portal when entering an SG base. So if you have objects in your portal, you're gonna get stuck in there. Unsure if this is intended or not. @CR Americas Angel, @Dacy, what are your thoughts?
  22. Well, I think we can safely say it isn't a RAM issue. =O Depending on which launcher you're using, try to re-verify your install. If using HCLauncher, under the play button, hit the three dots, and select "Verify". In Tequila, I think the reverify button is in the options menu. Your computer can clearly handle anything CoX throws at it, but, just to be safe, also try returning your graphic settings to default, then bring them back up to a level you like once you're stable. Specifically, we've been seeing some issues with the experimental cel shading setting, so start there. Otherwise, if using HCLauncher, go into options and check "Reset graphics on next run". Make sure to UNcheck this after launching the game, or before your next session, as it will continue to reset your settings. Let us know whether or not any of this helps.
