It absolutely isn't the current iteration of TW/BIO. And it wasn't the one before the nerf either. I was pulling low :50s pre-nerf TW/BIO. Ratch and I are pulling low minute times post-nerf with it. It wasn't and isn't TW/BIO. TW is in a really good place right now, but it sure isn't top dog for melee DPS. I can state that with 100% confidence. I've done runs with my Crab under :30s with Lore (Banished Pantheon) out. A Thugs/Cold MM with Heat Loss summoning two Gang Wars with T4 BP would drop a pylon faster than that I am guessing. I'm with @Ratch_. Fpr melee, I'm guessing a FM/Bio/Snipe damage and recharge capped would drop it in less than 40-50s. I got runs under a minute with no outside buffs with my FM/BIO/Snipe scrapper on brainstorm.

It's PBAOE DMG. It's end/s for the amount of DPS it gives is stupidly good. Of course you take it.

Wasn't a fan of CT and grabbed maneuvers instead. Definitely moved a lot of slots around. I tried to keep the "flavor" of your build as much as possible. I'll share my take on BA/BIO in a sec.

Just set brawl on auto and call it good. Real reply. Procced out? Got my best results with: BF-SS-NS-AS-BF-SS (Does the Empower Combo) Non-Procced: BF-AS-SS-BF I can't remember the recharge you'd want to do either of those smoothly. I just remember I have to include NS in the procced chain since global recharge isn't high enough for the other with the way I build.

Serious question, I've suspected it would be Thugs/Cold during Gang War. Why ya think Demons/Cold? For sustained I would think this (Demons/Cold) or a VEAT.

To answer the subject line's question I'll ask another question... Why do you think the best melee players in the game fervently avoid the regen secondary? People don't get that the best mitigation is layered. And then prioritize stats: Defense (not get hit) - Resistance (get hit for less) - More HP (this also increases regen btw)) - then wayyyyy behind those is regen, or HP/s. When you have a resistance based set that can soft-cap defense it is going to be really hard to kill (or vice versa). Combine that with a Tanker and it's crazy high HP and whoo boy. Psi Melee is neat. It has some fun gimmicks. I just wouldn't pair it with regen since when you hit 50 you are for sure going to scrap it since regen just does NOT scale a fraction as well as any other set. My first 50 was claws/regen. I tried my damndest to make it decent all the way until shutdown (I started playing in issue 2). The only saving grace was the claws part of that combo. -
I didn't try the Slow enhancement to it. I toyed with the idea and realized it wouldn't matter with the extreme amount of runners I was getting with the cmbo I had (Rad Melee paired with it). It was great single target, but solo-ing was impossibly frustrating. And I solo. A lot.

I've done it multiple times on multiple characters, scrappers and other ATs. A few people here have. There are a few people that haven't tried that definitely could based on what I've seen.

Staff is the Dual Pistols equivalent for melee. Holy crap it looks great and is fun to play, but wow the damage is bad. You make a good point. Fire was the go-to set for everything BUT melee if you wanted raw performance at a time. Guess it finally got the love it deserved.

Numbers wise? Lol, no. Not even in the argument. Fun? That depends on the person. I like it thematically.

Play any primary you want that is fun, all the primaries are "good" now. Stay away from Regen. It has a lot of down time (dead is down time).
