I love all these. Energy Aura and SR are both front runners, probably with WP and Bio. All IO'd out endgame, which do you think is the strongest?

Someone also mentioned Elec Armor for a Brute mixed with Katana. Could be good. Kat seems better on a Scrapper though, and Elec Armor better on a Brute.

Hi all! I’m going to role play a Jedi hero with some buddies of mine, and I’d love to pick the communities brains on options for a Jedi hero! First up: ARCHETYPE My immediate thought is Scrapper. Jedi’s just feel like Scrappers to me. Stalkers could be an option, I just don’t care for hiding. Anyone feel that they should be a Brute or Tanker instead? Second: KATANA OR DUAL BLADES I understand that Jedi could use either (too bad they don’t have an option for this on Staff!) as many Jedi used different styles. In your opinion though, which set FEELS more like a Jedi based on their animations/powers? Lastly: SECONDARY This is where it gets spicy, since one could argue a lot of options. Bio Armor and Rad Armor both have a ton of effects, but with the right colorization and minimal effects, they can definitely be pulled off as Force powers. Stone Armor… love the set, but I feel that even with minimal effects it may stand out too much. Energy Aura is a Scrapper favorite, and could just be “Force Energy.” I don’t particularly care for how one of the powers basically makes you invisible though, although it could be thematic for a Jedi. Willpower and Super Reflexes both have minimal effects and can be very thematic of Jedi. How do either of these perform for endgame content? Willpower can be using the Force to push through, while we all know Jedi have great reflexes haha. Ninjitsu is a lovely set… I just have one buddy who runs a Kat/Nin and another DB/Nin, so I’m just trying to not repeat. All that being said: what are your thoughts? How would YOU make a Jedi hero? Also, I’m pumped for the Kenobi series coming at the end of May 😂

Is there a bind for Combat Teleport you guys can share? I’ve never used it, but I’m guessing it just zips you around the fight? Haha

I think I have a good idea of how I want to slot Katana. Anyone have a sample of how they slot Stone Armor? My goal is to get as much close to softcap as possible. I know you can’t really with F/C, but for that I can hit 75% resist.

This combo seems like it a ton of busy fun haha

All good call outs. I’m gonna have to play with the build a lot haha. I don’t have Mids right now, so it’s a lot of trial and error.

Really solid points. If I’m purely soloing, DA would probably be the way to go. Teaming, Vengeance is probably the better pick up in 90% of scenarios lol. Great call out.

Shot in the dark, but does anyone have a Kat/Stone scrapper build? Would love to use one as a base.

Yeah, I think I’m leaning Kat. I kind of just like the “feedback” of the moves. Probably would grab DA and just throw a LOTG in it and used as needed. Claws would definitely be great as well. I have a Claws/Elec Brute, so want to switch it up a bit.

I love both as well, but I’d say Ice/Stone is a straight upgrade on a Stalker. You lose a poor DPS move on Ice on a Scrapper for Assassin’s Strike. Should be a great combo.

Someone’s recent thread on Stone Armor for Scrappers has gotten me jazzed to give it a shot. I never really had a concept for it, but now I do. Kind of an “Obsidian Blade” or Shadow Blade theme. My conundrum: should I pair Stone Armor with Katana or Dual Blades? Katana should require less recharge for the optimal attack chain. It has a really nice “crunch” to it. It provides +Def as well. Admittedly, that is not as big of a boon for Stone Armor, since it already has strong defenses. Should be good for Lv 54 ITF runs though. Dual Blades has some sweet animations (other than the ballet spin on Typhoon’s Edge 😂). I also hear DB has a nice attack chain that does good ST and some AOE to help with Stone’s minimal AOE. Stone Armor also provides some native recharge, which DB will probably like. Anyone out there have any experience with either combo? Would like to throw in their 2 inf? Thoughts and opinions are welcomed!

How does the Stone T9 work for Scrappers? It just completely invulnerable? Seems like it could be a good trick to pop and heal up and than keep scrappin haha

This. Rebirth incarnate (late game) is always an option as well if you want an “oh crap” heal.

Hi heroes, I’ve been mulling over a Katana hero for a while. Mostly because it’s sexy, but also because it seems like it’s very satisfying to play. Seems to have a nice CRUNCH to it. So I was curious: What archetype do YOU like to play Katana on? I’ve heard that it is a wonderful fit on scrappers, but I could also see it’s +Def and quick animations working well on a Brute. Following up on that, are there any secondaries you love to pair with Katana? Energy Aura and Bio seem to be front runners for me. Rad seems like it has a great bag of tricks as well. Yeah, that is what I’ve gathered. When Insight works, Psi is outstanding. It’s just a little random.

KM/Ice seems like a spicy combo. I find the Icicles animation to be pretty jarring. Anyone else find this? Like, not that it doesn’t look COOL (pun intended), but it is just random where the spikes pop out lol. Cool concept of having this offensive armor piercing foes though. I guess if you have the right costume concept to match with it?

I have this combo as well and it is an amazing synergy. So much DOT and mobs just melt.
