  1. Well Dark/Dark could definitely fit thematically =P do any of those sets have a -Regen component for AV’s?
  2. This is great man, thanks! Dark/Water seems pretty sweet, maybe color the water to look like shadows. I’m thinking either Dark/Water or Dark/Ice. Dark has a way to keep baddies down in whirlpool/rain, which is nice.
  3. Good to know! Trick Arrow seems great, just would need to find a concept. I know you’re a Dom expert! Any Dark Dom suggestions?
  4. *IMMEDIATELY ROLES A MERC MASTERMIND* 😂😂😂 just playing my friend! It is hard for me to express how much I enjoyed this post, thank you! Very helpful.
  5. Great call outs! Good to know about Water, for some reason I thought it’s T9 was a PBAOE. Also good call out on Storm. I have heard a lot of players say storm shines on a Defender. I could see a nice synergy with /Ice being able to keep mobs pinned down/slowed while Storm powers do their business. For a Dark Defender, are there any secondaries that stick out to you as pairing well? I’m looking to run a “Dark” themed hero, toying with either a Dark Defender, or maybe Dark Dominator/Controller. I know you have a bit of experience across multiple archetypes, so I’d love to hear your thoughts!
  6. You bring up a great point Doom. I’ll admit, I was mostly focused on the T9’s, but that makes a lot of sense in regards to Elec blast. For example, my other Defender is a Time/Rad, which REALLY relies on it’s PBAEO’s, so just looking to switch it up. Both Dark/Ice and Storm/Ice are great thematically. Do you fell that both function best on a Defender? I feel like Dark/Ice might with all the debuffs. Storm/Ice feels like it might work well on a Corruptor, due to Scourge and Dots in the kit. I could be completely wrong though.
  7. Hi all! I’ve never really played a “hover” hero, one that can just fly in and out of the battle, helping his teammates and dropping some baddies. I was curious: what Defender primaries/secondaries do you feel really lend themselves to a hover hero? I have one Defender, a Time/Rad and it is very in your face. Some combos I thought could work from range: Elec/Elec Dark/Ice or Elec Storm/Elec or Ice
  8. +1 to this Gulb! Although now you have me wanting to level one of every Defender primary 😂 currently working on a Time/Rad.
  9. I’m a huge fan of /EnA and /Shield on scrappers. How do you feel about /Rad? Looking at the Pylon/Trapdoor thread, it seems some people are using it VERY effectively on a scrapper. I always shied away from it on a Scrap since it is a resist set.
  10. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best lol
  11. Is there anyway your EM/Rad Scrapper could clear as fast as your Rad/SS Tanker? Because that thing is unreal. You went God mode in that run 😂
  12. Yeah, I’ve been seeing a lot of love for Rad lately. I want to give my first one a run. Torn between going a Rad/SS Tanker or EM/Rad Scrapper.
  13. I agree with this! My DM/Shield is great. I have to be honest, I have to remove my bias against resist sets on scrappers. I tend to only run Shield/Bio/EnA, but /Rad Armor is looking pretty nice. Probably because of all the other tools it brings in addition to being a pure resist set.
  14. Hi Micro! From what I gather from the other posts is, due to the procs Rad Armor can take, it pretty much ALMOST matches /bio in damage, while being substantially sturdier. It seems that most people like defense type based sets on scrappers, but /Rad seems to still be able to shine due to the tools in it’s tool belt. The extra +dmg Scrappers get from Meltdown (with no crash) is pretty nice as well.
  15. Would love to see this build when you finalize it!
  16. Interesting! Appreciate that man, that makes sense. Seems pretty spicy haha
  17. That is good to know about procs ignoring rage crash. Since procs are such a big factor for the performance, I guess theoretically a Rad/Rad tanker would be even stronger than a Rad/SS due to how IG functions with procs. Unless there is some additional synergy with /SS that I could be missing (which is likely haha). BTW, LOVE your avatar haha
  18. Haha nice! People always quoted “no DDR” as a reason to stay away from Rad. However, I think they say the same about Dark Armor, and I’ve never really had TOO much of an issue with it on my DA/Staff Tanker. Any other melee sets you’d recommend going with Rad Armor? Rage Crash is the thing that worries me about SS. It also seems like you think it really shines on a Scrapper! In which case, SS is out the window =P haha
  19. Awesome man! Wow, seems like a ton of love for Rad Armor is coming out of this thread. Is there a archetype you feel Rad Armor really thrives on? I could see Brute for the extra damage, tanker has a nice AOE increase. I also hear that Meltdown is really good on scrappers, with it’s larger damage buff.
  20. Would love to see the updated build Sai!
  21. Hey Gulb! Would your "Build #4" in your post still be your most current build?
  22. That seems like it will always keep the game interesting. I know @Gulbasaur has a Fort build floating around. If you have one you love that you'd like to share Kai, I'd love to give one a whirl!
  23. I've always found Fort's extremely interesting. They seem like they can do a bit of everything. Seems like a great teaming toon, but can solo as well.
  24. +1 to Cold/Water. In my case, I run a Cold/Water Corruptor (with WB colored black so it looks like I'm controlling shadows :p). When I'm not tanking and joining TF's, this is the hero I pull out to help drop AV's. I also love the Sleet + Whirlpool synergy with Scourge ticking. Ends up dropping easier targets fairly quickly as well. Water also makes the toon relatively safe with it's KD's and heal.
