  1. "The best crowd control is death.... errrr arresting. Yeah that's what I meant." 😂
  2. By "protecting" his teammates, Bill means "arresting" all the bad guys 😉
  3. DP/Martial wins all the style points 😛 haha and you always inspire Sai 😛 you know, I'm looking at something that I can build to solo extremely tough content. Thinking maybe a Water/Dark Corruptor or an Ill/Dark Controller. I've never run a controller, so I'm thinking of different combos there.
  4. Whats your favorite 4x8 solo character Sai? One you really go "Plus Ultra" on? 😛
  5. Oh I absolutely agree with this. This topic was more just for a fun discussion. Someone else mentioned to me that they think Controllers would just be the best, with Containment stacking. I didn’t even think about that!
  6. Nice! I’ve been on a Water Blast kick. I could see it functioning pretty well on a Sent. Extra mitigation from the knockdowns, plus their toughness. Meltdown from /Rad could help pump up the damage, and /Rad is pretty proc friendly.
  7. Paging @Sovera. I believe he has a build for pretty much every Fire Armor combo on his thread.
  8. Up there with Corruptors would be Defenders and VEATS, specifically Fortunatas. I feel like Fortunatas can do a bit of everything.
  9. Hi all! I was having a fun chat in game the other day: If you could form a team of only ONE Archetype to take on the rest, or to run all content in the game, what archetype would you choose? Corruptors immediately jumped to mind to me. I feel they just could be the perfect combination of debuffs, buffs and damage. You can say the same for Defenders, but I guess I would just value the extra damage form scourge a bit more. Scourge is love, scourge is life. That being said, what are your thoughts? In this scenario, do you think Corruptors could be the one archetype to rule them all? What would your perfect team of Corruptors look like? And if not Corruptors, what other archetype would you pick?
  10. BOPPER IS SAYING WATER BLAST SENTS ARE OP. Jk jk my friend 😉
  11. Concept wise, this seems like a really cool build. Prob feel like a monster in mobs just knocking everything around haha.
  12. Seems like that would work great at range. Really free up focusing on just blastin’ haha
  13. I ran a water/cold and I feel that would be a great pick! Cold has wonderful debuffs for tough targets, and water brings some extra mitigation for you guys. Currently leveling a Water/Dark, and I feel that would be a great option for you as well. Best of luck!
  14. Nice man, gonna have to take a look at these sets. Seems like it’d have some good built in mitigation as well. I think @Linea’s 801 Blaster project is actually this combo.
  15. One I didn’t think of, great suggestion.
  16. Hi all! I was going through some old threads, and I dug into @Galaxy Brain’s Blaster Primary Comparison charts. It seemed like, while missing out on the raw damage of a fire blaster, Water made up for it a bit with the safety it provides. As I’m looking to make a primarily solo played Blaster, this is important to me! I was curious: do any of you feel there are any secondaries that really shine with Water Blast as a primary? I was looking to play mostly a “hover” style of Blaster, but I’m open on this as well. Water/Temp or Water/Eng seem like good ranged options. Water/Atomic seems like it could be a lot of fun, but would be more of an in your face kind of style I believe. Water/Fire as well. I appreciate any suggestions!
  17. I know with incarnates, everything is great for endgame content…. But do you feel Doms are one of the best archetypes for extremely difficult 4x8 style stuff?
  18. Great choices my friend! I’m personally running a Time/Rad right now and it is very synergistic. As our good friend @Without_Pause said, it is a very “in your face” Defender that likes to be in melee with his tanks. I JUST started a Water Blast/Dark Corruptor who’s playstyle seems a little more suited for a “hover” style of play, if that is what you’re looking for. I could see Rad/Water or Dark/Water being pretty decent as a hover defender (or Corruptor).
  19. True. Tar Pit+ Whirlpool seems like it could be a lot of fun. With both heals, I feel like this could be a very sturdy Corruptor combo.
  20. I didn’t even take the ATO’s into consideration. Huge call out, thank you.
  21. Looking at some numbers, it seems that the extra debuff improvement that Defenders get, PLUS how proc friendly Water Blast is, makes it seem like the Defender might actually push ahead in damage on this combo.
  22. Hi Heroes (and Villains :P)! I'm creating a concept character, someone who can control darkness/shadows. I know standard would be Dark/Dark, but I've really fallen in love with Water Blasts animations. Plus, when you recolor it to black/darker colors, it really looks like you are bending shadows! Anyways, Dark Miasma seems like an extremely solid set overall and pretty much anything will pair well with it. My question is: would you recommend this combo on a Defender or Corruptor? My thoughts so far: Defender: The debuffs on Dark Miasma will be stronger on them due to the higher defender modifiers. Also, Water Blast seems pretty proc friendly (correct me if I'm wrong), so that could help make up the damage differential between the 2 sets. Corruptor: Historically, I've felt/heard that "Rain" sets tend to perform better on Corruptors due to how they interact with Scourge. I could see Tar Patch + Whirlpool having awesome synergy on a Corruptor when pair with Scourge. Overall though, I'd love to hear the thoughts from the community on what archetype they feel the combo of Water Blast/Dark Miasma would shine better on!
  23. +1 to this suggestion. I started building one out after some of @Bopper’s posts a while back. I run mine as a hybrid set up that truly feels like a “scraptroller”. You can solo well, and at the same time be a benefit to any team. Mind Link OP.
  24. I appreciate the slotting advice Tex! As I'm preplanning a bit, that definitely seems where some of the headache can arise with speccing out the character haha
  25. I'm finding it being pretty "melee" as I level up! I was thinking of playing it more as a "hover" style, but some of the skills seem to really lend themselves to melee.
