Hi all! Looking for suggestions on what secondary to pair with KM on a stalker. I know Shield Charge doesn’t break hide…. And burst on a Kinetic Melee Stalker is a guaranteed AOE crit from hide, correct? I feel like this could be a nice little combo for clearing mobs. Shield charge in, AOE crit with Burst, continue to roll face across keyboard until all baddies are arrested. Would love to hear some peoples thoughts on the combo. Shield is sturdy overall and I think I’d only really be lacking a heal. The other secondary I was looking at was Ice Armor. KM does -Def to foes, and Chilling Embrace also does -Def. Seems like a nice synergy, but I don’t know if that is something that would outweigh the benefits of Shield. I believe Ice Armor also gets a heal though, which is a plus. Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated!

I definitely agree with this assessment.

For this reason, I skipped CS on my Kin/Ice Scrapper. I know @SomeGuy has leveraged it to good success though.

This combo was my original though. Would you go Scrapper or Brute?

Honestly, all the combos you posted are great. Dark/Shield or Claws/Rad might be the way to go if you want to min/max. Concept is also important. Two of my favorite Scrappers are a Psi/Shield and a Kinetic Melee/Ice Armor, since I love their concept/background stories I came up with for them.

Brand! Mind sharing your Kin/Elec build? I'm one of the weirdos that really like Kinetic Melee and it's animations/range moves. I ran a Kin/Ice Scrapper, and I think a Kin/Elec would be pretty cool. Very Thematic.

Hear hear Xandyr! I love to hear this, and you’ve inspired me. I’m still searching my my “best”, although I’m pretty sure it’ll probably be a Scrapper or a Sentinel I am currently working on. Concept wise, I’ve also loved Peacebringers and their flexibility.

Search the forums for @Darkir's Savage/Bio brute build. I used it as a basis for mine and it has done well.

Interesting, I thought the bonus damage was only for scrappers. The more you know!

I was thinking Elec Armor might be good for the new HM content, with it's heal, end protection and being able to pump up resists with outside defense buffs coming in.

What is your favorite pure resist set?

So I have never seen the Taunt animations for a weapon/shield combo! I'd probably only run it on a Tanker haha. Do they hit the shield with the weapon or something?

Great suggestions @tidge. I have a Stj/Bio Scrapper I've been playing that is Power Ranger themed haha. I really enjoy the CRUNCH of StJ.

I like that theme, and have thought of it myself. Like a “Bloodmancer” with Water paired with either Regen or Bio.

How is the flow with the different weapon animations? Don’t find it choppy at all?

Hi heroes, I thought this was a pretty fun topic to get started, inspired by @InvaderStych and his “rule of cool.” 😎 Concept trumps all in this game. So what concept powerset combo do you have that is just plain COOL to you? For me, it has to be my Psi Melee/Shield Scrapper, Aegis Blade. Energy shield and swords that can also throw people around with telekinesis? Count me in. After that, it might be my Water/Cold Corruptor. Catch for him is, I color the water all dark and role play it as “shadow manipulation.” Because what goes better than dark and cold, am I right? Lastly, my Thermal/Ice Defender. Mostly because the opposing powersets is very thematic and they actually just work very well together. I’d love to hear some of your powerset combos/archetypes that you play/have see that you just think are beyond cool.

That was the other pairing I was thinking of as well! So many cool character concepts with that combo as well.

I'm going to +1 Savage on a Brute, especially if you pair it with Bio Armor. Both Savage and Bio's DOT damage are ramped up by Brute's Fury. Very synergistic.

I do have an Kinetic Melee/Ice Armor Scrapper that is thematically a “Cryomancer” like Sub Zero. Honestly a really cool combo. Plus, Icy Bastion got Scrappers and Stalkers is really good. I for one really like KM. I do hope the HC team buffs it’s performance in the future though.

Conceptually though… what a cool combo haha
