Appreciate this, good call out on the sapping. Now that you mention it, I could see either being pretty good at PvP (although I don't do PvP, it just sounds good on paper haha).

I've always wanted to look at a Fire Blast hero, never knew what to pair it with or what archetype. This Fire/Kin Corruptor really seems to fit the bill in so many respects (damage, team support, etc). Really seems like a force multiplier!

Hi heroes, I’m looking to run a Thermal hero, and I’m trying to decide what to pair it with: Electric Blast or Ice Blast. Ice seems to have nice slows built in, and procs out nicely. Elec’s damage is pretty nice with the new Shock mechanic, and pair with Thermal should be a great sapper. Also, would you run either of these combos on a Defender or a Corruptor? The idea of Elec Blasts shocked + Corruptor scourge really intrigues me. Thanks for any insights!

I'm basing my Thermal/Ice off of your build, only swapping in Cardiac as the Alpha (like you suggest in your post). I love it. Honestly feels like such a "jack of all trades" kind of build that can do it all.

Psi/Shield perhaps? 😛

I have a Water/Cold that has been my go to, and I could see Ice/Cold being tremendous as well. Having a Kin totally skipped my mind, that that obviously makes a lot of sense 😂

Hey all! I was curious: for the new Hardmode, are there any specific archetypes and powersets (any archetype) that you feel is amazing for Hard mode? Some examples of ones I've heard work great: Ill/Dark Controller: Taunt sounds like a must have, and PA provides that. Dark on a controller just brings a huge bag of tricks, plus DDR. Elec/Elec Defender: When it comes to keeping your team alive, it seems like there are few sets that could rival Electric Affinity. Thermal/Ice Defender: Just seems like a really well rounded combo, brings something for every situation. Water/Cold Corruptor: Cold can help neuter those tough targets, and Water Blast provides some extra safety to this combo. What are some powersets and archtypes YOU feel work great in Hard mode?

Dark/Dark Dom seems so fun.... Is this one of the heroes you'd bring into your hardmode challenges with Linea?

Really interesting/cool build! Curious, do you feel this is most optimal on a Corruptor? How do you think it'd run on a Defender in comparison?

Thanks for laying this out Linea. I know you probably have tanked it with Angel Hornet, but would you say the sets for tanking on a tanker you mentioned in the thread (Invuln/Shield/Rad Armor with buffs) hold true on a SCRAPPER as well for best secondaries (outside of EnA)?

For the hard mode content, do you feel Brutes will become optimal when running with a team? I could see with Fury ramping damage + incoming buffs from the team making them nearly as durable as a Tanker, this could be their time to shine.

+1 to the Savage/Bio brute. The added benefit of Fury ramping the DOT damage for both Savage and Bio is very nice. So many orange numbers popping up everywhere haha.

Which offensive sets would these be? Just curious!

Rad/SS seems like it’d be a crazy good pairing, especially with a team supporting it.

It just seems like Elec Affinity is such a strong base to build off of.

Yeah, that is my big fear and why I'm leaning towards wither EngA or Rad Armor. While I do team mostly, I don't want to be pulling my hair out if I ever do go solo.

Looks pretty sweet. I want to pull the trigger on a Claws Scrapper. What would people recommend pairing it with: Radiation Armor or Energy Aura? Stone Armor seems like it could pair nicely, but the lack of a taunt aura worries me.

That begs the question: what is your #1?

Hey Some! For Energy Melee, what are some of your favorite secondaries to pair with it? Energy Aura, Shield and Radiation Armor stick out to me. Usually I shy away from resist sets on Scrappers, but in this case Rad Armor seems like it could be a great fit.

What are some Dominator combos you'd recommend for some of your tough "Do it all" challenges Vol? Dark/Dark seems like a shoe in. Any others you'd recommend?

+1 to Dark/Shield. Just such a synergistic combo. Your Energy/Rad has always caught my eye. Even a mix of the two, DM/Rad seems like it could be pretty sweet.

I believe @Onlyasandwich has an outstanding DM/EnA build he shared on the forums. Seems like an AWESOME combo. DM/Rad Armor seems like it'd be very synergistic as well.

I am really contemplating an Ill/Dark Controller.

Sounds amazing, just wish it worked on my Mac 😂
