Ahhhh gotcha! So it seems that EnM might just shine MORE on a scrapper, whereas StJ really shines on a Stalker. No idea it had the second best AoE. I'll have to search around the forums for your StJ/EnA build 😛 I'm sure it is somewhere.

Hi all! Thinking of taking the first dive into Mastermind life, since there doesn't seem to be any other class quite like it. MM's have always come off a bit... intimidating however. Does anyone have any tips/advice for a newbie? I was looking at Demon's/Elect Affinity, but I am open on suggestions. Some questions I had: Are there any MM powerset suggestions that you'd recommend? Some strong pairings, or maybe ones that are easier to pilot than others? I've never set up key bindings. Is it something that is necessary for playing a MM and, if so, what bindings should I look into? Any general tips or tricks you'd give a new MM starting out. Thanks in advance all!

Linea! For your Stalker, what is some of your reasoning for recommending Stj/Ena or EM/Ena? Stj has always seemed pretty appealing.

Time seems to be the one! Currently leveling a Time/Rad Defender myself, and I have to say I agree with all the statements above.

Any key binding suggestions? I haven’t used bindings, since I primarily play melees heroes.

I was just gonna ask you! Appreciate it. I was torn with either Ill/Cold or Fire/Storm. Both seem like they can be amazing.

Fire/Storm just seems like such a COOL concept as well. Probably feels like power incarnate when you're playing it 😂

All of these suggestions are absolutely golden, can't go wrong with any of them. I've rolled Sai's DM/Shield Scrapper and (as he says) the synergy is amazing. I'm itching to do another Scrapper myself, and I'm torn between DB/EnA and Claws)EnA.

I appreciate how informative this was Croax. I've enjoyed Psi Melee from afar, but just haven't pulled the trigger on what archetype to run it on. Stalker seems to be calling it's name. A Psi blade assassin just seems to fit 😛 Now, just to settle on a secondary..... haha

Great question and one I pondered myself. It probably comes down to the sets that’ll determine which archetype is better. I could see Water/Storm being great on a Corruptor, with how DOTS/Rains interact with Scourge. Storm/Dark is a pairing I didn’t think of, seems like it could be really good on a Defender.

Yeah, this seems like a combo that might shine on a scrapper…. Although I know you can’t give up the taunt aura 😂 maybe DB/Energy for you?

This build looks SUPER solid. How do you feel DB/Energy compares to Claws/Energy? I see you put the scrapper set in Typhoon’s Edge. What is the main reason for that? I need to just get over the animation for that move, since it’s one of the only AOE’s 😂

I actually do have it it my build, Nihilii didn’t in his! Get it and 6 slot it haha. I believe I have the Winter’s set in mine. Some people like slotting a FF in there, which is totally fine. I feel it doesn’t make up much of a difference though.

@Linea how do you feel about Psi Melee on a stalker or scrapper and how it pairs with /EA? I know it gets some hate for it’s insight usage, but I feel like it could do some serious damage. Psi/Stone for that matter could be great, with Stone bringing some extra AOE damage that psi lacks as well as a heal.

Psi/Shield sounds like a ton of fun. I’ve looked at Psi/EA as a scrapper, with EA bringing the heal Psi sorely lacks, but Shield would be great for that AOE.

Nice. I guess, if I went the scrapper route, it'd be a bit simpler since I won't have to work around AS and the Stalker procs. Just find the chain that works for me and go from there.

Doom! I tried an all human Peacebringer, but mine came out underwhelming. I know you have the Mids link, but Mids isn’t jiving with my Mac right now. Would you mind copy and pasting your build to this thread? Would love to give another all human PB a shot.

I always appreciate your insight Linea! I guess I’m just always looking for optimizing 😂 all 4 of the sets I mentioned could probably work with /EA. I already have a EM/EA Stalker, which is probably my strongest hero overall. Might try a scrapper. Just curious, I always like StJ, but have trouble figuring out optimal attack chains. What attack chain do you use, for melee and AOE?

Thanks for all this Linea! I’ve felt like /Eng Armor could be a good contender here. Follow up on this: do you prefer the Scrapper or Stalker? And which primary do you feel would go best with them? You listed EM and StJ, would you say those are the premiere ones? I could see Claws/Dual Blades being nice as well.

Haha I love it. You read my mind, I was going to ask how you felt it stacked up to the new /Stone. I guess /Stone will output more damage, and it does have SOME endurance management. And nice! EA has a taunt aura, even on scrappers? I could see that being a big push for EA over Stone, if you plan to solo a lot.
