Not at home atm, but I’ll shoot you the build I used as a basis for my Shield/Rad. @Linea also has a beast Shield/Rad build. I believe it is less “proc” oriented and more focused on survivability.

Throwing the suggesting of Shield/Rad out there for obscene, unkillable beast. Proc’s out IG really helps you melt through mobs, and Rad Melee adds a fairly reliable heal to pair with Shield (if you’re looking for something other than /DM).

Great point. Looks like if I ever run a stone scrapper, I’ll go with one of those sets haha

Fair points. Is not having an aggro aura a reason why you’d prefer Stone on a Brute or Tanker compared to a Scrapper? I guess that really only comes into play if you’re soloing.

As I have been leveling my own claws Bio, this has been my feeling. Stone does seem like a nice medium, but than I think…. Why pick it over Shield on a scrapper? Shield seems to have as good of defense/resists, better DDR and brings a lot of damage with AAO. I might be missing something.

Forgot about that. I could see that being a big thing if you planned to solo a lot.

Seems like it could be a nice middle ground for all content. During the ride, do you feel it has much more survivability than Bio?

This was Hyper's original response to Krazie's first post. This was Krazie's response to what was said above. It doesn't take a genius to see who was coming off more hostile/aggressive right off the bat. Right now, Krazie is basically the dude on the sideline telling everyone on the court what they could do to improve their jumpshot, but than never actually showing their jumper lol. The name checks out.

Yeah, my Shield/Rad Tanker is obscene. I could see Shield/Nrg being just a crazy, probably trading some of that AOE for better ST. Claws/Bio might be in the running for best damage on a scrapper. Maybe not for ST, but just all around. I do agree with the Dark Melee/Shield scrapper though. Just pretty classic and very survivable for a scrap. Only one I have at 50 lol

True, but I just don’t see myself taking Fire Armor on a Scrapper.

How do you feel it’s damage compares to the classic EM/Bio? I could see Fire , with proc’d out burn, really allowing this combo to tear through mobs while still taking down AV’s because EM is EM lol

Honestly, Savage/Stone does seem like it’s be pretty powerful haha

I love Savage/Bio on a Brute for all the dots. It seems like Savage/Stone would be a similar experience haha

That’d be part of the fun 😂 You know, not that it is THE top tier brute, BUT there is one powerset combo I found that really shines on a Brute: Savage Melee/Bio Armor. Both Savage Melee and Bio have DOT’s, and those DOT’s are pumped up by fury… so it ends up being a ton of orange numbers that really allow you to tear through mobs. Pretty fun as well.

Absolutely, I love how safe the Water/Cold plays, and it does great against tough targets like AV’s. Slower on mobs though, which I’m sure is where the Fire/Kin thrives haha
