I will say, Lightning Rod and Shield charge combo'd are what really make this build fun for me. Sure, there might be more optimal powerset combos, but this gets the job done and really makes you FEEL powerful. Some of the most "fun per click" I've had in the game has been with my Shield/Elec Tanker, Aegis Storm 😛 was my first 50 when I started on Homecoming, and I still come back to him to this date.

Yeah kind of the Invuln/Dark Melee set up. Is it unkillable? Yes, but almost overkill. Might as well get a primary that can dish out more damage. Dual blades seems like a nice mix of ST and AOE. Any other secondaries you think might pair well?

I've never looked at Stone Armor due to the mobility negatives that come along with the set. However, that really seems to have become a non-issue with the changes. Dual blades does seem like it can pair well, since you only need minimal power picks for optimal attack chain. Great build Sovera! Might have to give it a shot. I feel like Rad Melee could pair well with Stone, but after doing a Rad/Fire Brute and Shield/Rad Tanker, I can't bring myself to pick it again hahahaha.

I wonder how the new Elec Blast would pair with Energy as a hover blaster. Probably pretty decent end drain between the 2. The ranged nuke is a good call out for a hover blaster. Elec/Eng could be on the board for me as well.

I've been running a Fire/Elec for more of a "Blapper" feel, but have been interested in doing more of a hover blaster. Fire/Time seems like it would be a great pairing for that.

Hmmmm good to know. I could see Elec/Elec Defenders being some endurance drain kings.

Can attest, this combo is an absolute unit. Endurance heavy, but man is it powerful.

I was interested in this! Which archetype would use the revamped Elec blast best. I was thinking maybe Sentinels, since it was already strong on them in the first place. What makes you say Defenders?

You'll just need to proc those abilities with the KD > KD IO. Yeah, it can suck that it takes up a slot, but it saves you some headaches in the long run. Some full sets include this proc, like the one you get from SBB. Overwhelming Force I believe is the name of the set?

I’ve long debated which of these 2 secondaries paired better with Katana/Claws myself. Looking forward to seeing the discussion.

I love your builds and the crazy stuff you do with them Vol! It seems you have quite a few good ones, but for being able to complete the craziest stuff... would you say the crown goes to your Dark/Dark Dom? Or is there another build (or archetype) that is your favorite/you feel is the best?

I have an E3 Sent as well that I love. Excited for the Elec Blast changes possibly coming through? @Linea always has great insights as well.

I’m also curious! How do you feel this is going to impact an Elec Sents solo capability? I feel these changes will really buff up their solo damage to allow them to take out tougher targets. I’m not saying they’re gonna be a /bio scrapper haha, but Elec Blast has always seemed best on Sents, so this should move them into a good place.

I’m pumped for the Elec changes. My Elec/Elec/Elec Sent currently drops mobs to 0 and quasi tanks… should be even easier now haha

Nice man! I might pair it with /Bio because hey, it’s a scrapper…. Might as well go full offense, right? Haha that being said, I feel like /Nrg could make it much tougher. /bio has the -regen for AV’s though, which is nice. As for /SR…. some of your posts have made me REALLY want to run a /SR Tanker haha.

I could see Ice Melee having some great mitigation for a scrapper! Cool combo.

What are some of your favorite secondaries to pair with Claws on a Scrapper?

Do you have a Claws build that is your favorite that you’d like to share? I’ve only run a Claws/Elec Brute, but Claws seems like a perfect fit for a Scrapper. Torn between Claws/Bio and Claws/Energy Aura.

As an overall combo for endgame content, would you recommend Dark/Rad over, say, your Elec/Elec Defender?

I'm just rolling this Defender now (love the aesthetics of this powerset combo) and would love to use your build as a base. I've built a lot of "solo" capable heroes with Tankers/Scrappers, so I was really looking for a hero that thrives in teams. I feel this is it.
