I totally forgot about Storm as an option. Could be fun. Rad/Dark seems like it would be a very strong pairing.

Would also throw @Darkir’s Water/Cold Corruptor out there. A pretty safe build that excels at bringing down tough targets.

Hi all! I’ve been a long time Defender sub lurker, but have yet to roll the dice on one. I’m looking for a hero to slow level and really learn the ins and outs of their powerset. Being primarily a Tanker/Scrapper/Brute player, I felt a Defender would be the perfect archetype for me to do that! A bit of blasting mixed with support seems like it will create a very fluid playstyle. Several combos have shot out to me. Elec/Elec seems cool, since Elect Affinity is a newer powerset. Dark/something, since Dark seems to be a really good jack of all trades. Time/DP, just for the cool factor 😂 That being said, I’m very open! What are some powerful Defender combos you have enjoyed playing/love having on your team?

I'm looking to make my first hover Blaster. Fire/Temporal sticks out as a combo that would work very well. Anyone have a sample build/experience with this combo?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Ill/Cold is one of the premiere AV soloing power combos.

How do you feel Stone Armor is stacking up next to your Shield/Invuln/SR builds for Tankers? Think it can hang with them?

+1 to what Werner said. It's good as a one slot wonder, just dropping one unique enhancement in there and using it as an "Oh crap" button haha. Although you won't find too many of those moments when fully built out with Shield.

Shield is just.... so robust. I love it haha. My Shield/Elec and Shield/Rad are 2 of my favorite tankers.

Thanks for all the info Linea. I have an EM/EnA Stalker myself, and it's one of my strongest heroes. EM/Bio seems like it'd hit like a truck as well.

I love your Dark/Shield build Sai. I’ve been wondering how Dark/Stone would work. Part of me thinks that combo might really shine on a Tanker.

Back to his original question, I feel that your Claws/Bio scrap would be well suited.

What do you like so much about the Psi/Stone?

Great options thrown out so far. I know @Linea has done some crazy things with scrappers. Kat/Bio and Kat/Energy Aura being 2 of their faves. I feel Claws/Bio could be up there as well. Maybe Linea has some more OP scrapper suggestions haha.

Nice! More natural than Stalkers, correct? I could see Stone Armor being really solid on scrappers. The T9 they and Stalkers get seem interesting

Very true. Maybe going Stone Armor on a tanker would be best, since EA isn’t available on them 😂 plus, I already have an EM/EA Stalker largely based on your build. I still probably consider it my single strongest hero, with my Shield/Rad tanker. I was thinking Dark Melee COULD pair nicely with stone, probably on any archetype. Could help with the end problem.

Really cool Bopper! In theory, how do you feel Stone Armor stacks up in general to Energy Aura? I’m a huge fan of Energy Aura, but it seems like the new Stone Armor is just good everywhere.

I was gonna ask how endurance was with this combo!

Thanks for the info share, Sov. Dark Melee/Stone is a combo I’ve been thinking of for a bit myself, I’ve just been trying to figure out what archetype to run it on. It does seem like it’d be pretty much unkillable on a Tanker

Any specific primaries you guys would suggest to run with Stone Armor on a Stalker? It seems Stone Armor is really shining on Stalkers

StJ/Stone sounds like a big pretty crushing stalker haha

What secondary would you pair with a StJ stalker? I have an EM/EA that hits like a truck, but would be interested in a StJ build

I actually run a Shield/Rad Tanker. If you can get past some of Rad Melee’s animations…it can do obscene things. Irradiated Ground proc’d out hits like a truck.

Dark/Stone! I’ve thought about this combo on a Brute and Tanker (Stone/Dark), but not on a stalker… could be pretty cool!

Nice Sovera! Do you think Stone Armor might work best on a Brute, since Earth’s Embrace can push their HP so high? I also see you skip Granite! No need for it?
