  1. That is irrelevant This discussion is NOT about how to complete the mission in the shortest time possible with dividing and conquering. The issue being discussed is about that ONE INDIVIDUAL, not a half the team splitting, but only one individual who is going out to solo stuff. Also, the team attacking the same mobs will kill the mobs faster. Also the team will get to the mob, since it is attacking a group of mob already, the best thing to do for you is to help kill the mob the team is already engaging. Bottom line, respect the team leaders, be considerate of others, ask and look for consent beforehand. If it's your team and you are the leader do what you want, and please have the courtesy to explain to the rest of the team what you are doing, and why you are doing it. you can enjoy the game and not be inconsiderate with others.
  2. I feel you. My statement is in support of what you said. It's a team, if you join a team it is for team play. I don't understand the want to join a team if you want to solo stuff
  3. I would never ever recommend, if you are playing storm, to skip hurricane. There are levels to challenges as well as levels to skills in this game. I encourage any storm player to master the use of hurricane. It is a candidate for the strongest to hit debuffer in the whole game from a single power. It is also a formidable range killer. It's very nice to touch some enemies with it, then move away, they are crippled when trying to hit you, and their range is not there at all anymore. Learn how to maneuver mobs with hurricane. Learn when it's great to repel them. Find the joys of playing in caves, especially with tight spaces, with a stormy using all or most of the powers. That being said, I say again that Water/Storm Corruptors are incredibly good. This is me using zero inspirations, surviving the most dangerous of all parts of the ITF, part 2. And using hurricane as a tremendous defensive titan.
  4. I know what you meant. I was saying that it's funny that to me it seemed also like the video was on fast playback. I did check 1-2 times to make sure it was at normal speeds because I selected fast play on only some occasions Just watching the video it looks fast. 🙂
  5. Resistances - S/L - 75% Energy 21% Neg Energy 40.40% Toxic 33% Psy - 10% Defense 49%. Ranged 46% Energy - Neg energy These are the stats on the build I used to solo the ITF
  6. EVen if I am not team leader and I see some team member doing this stuff like going on their own to solo groups of mobs , split away from the team, I tell them straight up that whatever they think they can do solo, they will do it faster if they do it with the team. Taking on a mob will be faster with the team, not solo. It's also screaming for the question -- why did you join the team? Also, if the game is too easy for you, come talk to me: I got stuff in game that if I put you through it, it will adjust your attitude a bit.
  7. Zag, yo, Zag ! Check this out I got this message on Reddit "Hey that’s pretty solid, man! Not bad not bad. There’s no current record holder for the 3-4 man ITF category on Speedrun.com. You could post this there and become the official record holders!"
  8. There is a question mark right on the title. I am not asserting "world record" , nope. I am making a question. Aside from that, in the Master ITF chnl we do keep track of times set by members. Our team of 3 broke the record of a 4 - man team. Cheers
  9. The only times the video played on higher speeds were on cut scenes or transition scenes. The rest felt like it already was on HIGH speed, brother 🙂
  10. We were just doing this for fun, right before we were going to log off the game. This is our idea of a speed run ITF, but something happened. At the conclusion of this we all realized we had just beaten the record of a four man team of 3 Titan Weapons/Bio Scrapper with 1 Kinetics/Sonic Defender. We beat that time by 11 seconds, with only a 3 man team. Our final time - 19 mins 28 seconds.
  11. This community is awesome. Cenozoic is player that I recommend every dominator or blaster player listens to and follows and even friend him. He not only posts some great information but he actually will take some of his playing time and use it to team with you , do some testing, and share any insights. The advantages of playing a dom is also the community of great dom players. You can learn from example or reading quality information by players who love their doms with passion. I have had the joy of teaming with @Cenozoic and it's nothing short of refreshing and rewarding.
  12. Back in live, I used to have much loved Plant/Thorns/Cold Dominator. I used to farm with him the Battle Maiden map. He had no defenses via IOs. He was built for very high recharge and dmg bonus and extra hit points. I relied on controls to farm the map and I did it quickly. Throw seeds, then proceed with the rest, but I had to angle the seeds just right to hit as much as I could. With my single hold power ready to use in case I missed a boss with Seeds. I packed green inspirations only. Farming was fast and smooth. But that is relatively very easy content. That changes a bit when the difficulty of what you do increases. *** I was thinking about making a ninja costume for my Dark/Dark Dom when I first got into specializing in the ITF, Master settings with no inspirations. This post speaks to me, now I have to use another costume slot and make a ninja costume. *** The first thing that I was impressed with when getting into doing the ITF at extreme challenge settings is that my dominator did not need to try to fight using conventional means that other ATs may use to get the mission done. There was no good reason at the time to reveal myself to all foes that I was there doing whatever I was doing to get the mission done. Sure, there were times when I used good judgment to come out of stealth, but discerning when to do that is important. Sure, if you like to be a bravado character as a Dom, go ahead. But your face planting over and over is going to slow you down as well if it gets to that. I made a video on one way to do part 2 of the ITF with a Dark dominator but that can be applied to a Mind dominator as well and even a Plant dominator. I do recommend the stealth pool to any dominator. Both of my current doms that are decked out, they both have stealth. These tactics can be applied to any setting. For example, how to deal with multiple AVs in one TF, while you are solo? You avoid being seen or noticed, you control one AV, or possess it, that AV kills the other, and you do this until there's only one left. Then, you don't let yourself be revealed at that time, but you possess or confuse that AV until you reach a magnitude that it works to remain perma, then you can break stealth. Or, you can summon your pets, or NPCs, to draw aggro for you, and you go to work. In the case of Black Knights who are tough to mez, relying on your other strengths is key. In that case, Dark/Dark enjoys huge amounts of to hit debuffs. ( no intent here on deviating from Mind/ Doms. I am just using one example of when deviating tactics or using other options may be helpful ) I was going over the numbers in another post. You can stack enough to hit debuffs to rival corruptors who use Radiation emission's to hit debuffs, or even defenders if you use the doms equivalent of powerboost and Clarion Radial T4 (which also works as a power boost) With Shadow Field, well slotted, Gather Shadows, and Clarion Radial, you can have to hit debuffs of over 50% on a Dark/Dark Dominator. That rivals hurricane. Why? or How? Talking with @Carnifax brought this up, but Dominators with domination up , they summon TWO shadow fields, and both of them stack on top of the other, then you had a powerboosted fear x2 (one from Gather Shadows and one from Clarion Radial) and we are talking enormous amounts of to hit debuffs. A ninja that's very hard to hit even when seen. Now that is thematic. So, when I am exposes and my invisibility is gone, then and only then do I use the rest of my instruments. I agree with MoonSheep, to play a Dominator well, you don't have to be face tanking anything with bravado. You have options, so you can take various approaches. The ninja idea is great. I have three (3) builds on my dark/dark dominator, what I use varies on enemies, or task force, or team composition or the tactics I am going to be using. You can do this same thing on any dominator if you have the budget. That brings more variety and more spice to gaming
  13. I have one Cold/Dark defender. I recommend Cold/Dark if you also solo, not just team. However Dark works very well even if on teams. The to hit debuffs are great when paired up with decent amount of defenses. The heal is good and it recharges quick, and if you take an EPIC with power boost , that heal becomes even greater , and also your to hit debuffs. Thanks to the debuffs and the heal, you can solo AVs at 54 with the Defender with more safety than other blast sets. I am not saying it is the best, but it has amazing utility and still good dmg.
  14. No room for Aura of Confusion but also it is not what I want. The only thing I need confused, if necessary is the bright nova. That is the only thing that can debuff me, nothing else since I am a flyer. ON the ground, the white dwarf can debuff me. But when I am prepping the cysts, and then the final run commences, I am way ahead of the mobs that I feel like once I reach the last cyst in the prepping phase, I am pretty sure I am not going to die.
  15. No, that was background voices, people talking on another video. Yeah, the video are mostly for entertainment and I do hope anything worth picking up is indeed picked up for your benefit. Thanks
  16. I uploaded the other video Clamor ArchVillain , @ lvl 25. It's posted
  17. I have indeed used it and still do, but on my Water/Storm corruptor. In this build, I have no room for it, sadly. But really at lvl 25, it's more than fine to only need 2 blues. At higher levels I don't have end issues and I don't even run Ageless at all
  18. Both are excellent One is stronger on the debugger, the other is stronger on the buffing side Both strong By the way I uploaded the other AV fight with the dark defender Check the new post
  19. Out of all the characters I have tried to solo this ArchVillain with so far this has been the easiest one to do it with. Yin's Task Force @ level 25. Dark/Radiation has all the debuffs needed except endurance/recovery debuffs, and it has some very good buffs for you to do theses things safely.
  20. It is not my favorite. I don't have favorites. It is absolutely top tier. Very few defenders are not top tier in what they do. But Dark is masterfully well rounded, and certainly easy to love
  21. On a dominator with Possess or confuse, it's still good if it does not bug out. In fact, It's better. Rommy will kill the nictus faster than you will ever do it. After he's done that, then you solo him.
  22. One of the few, if not only, cases where I am happy dark times are falling on you 🙂 Kudos to you, brother
  23. They sure are easy to love, those Dark Defenders. I was immediately hooked.
