This is using a team build since I don't have a solo build since I only use this character for small teams or big teams for the defense debuffs and controls when running Dominator only teams or very odd team make ups. This video illustrates the instruments available for you to survive, and meet the challenges for these extreme settings, specifically part 2 of the ITF. I did not solo the ITF here. I only did part 2 solo. I am also not making the video for the whole of part 2. After going over the video various times, I concluded that for the sake of sharing what's needed to do this successfully, only the most difficult examples suffice, and only two scenarios were needed for that. The rest of the map is standard pulling or using the same tactics I go over. I go over tactics and strategies utilizing the most dangerous locations for the cysts you may encounter as a flyer squishy/fragile power sets combo. Video editing is hard work and time consuming. Ignatz, First of all, blessings upon you for being so kind and respectful. I am truly grateful for your tone. I have no issue with you. This thread is about Dark assault and pylon times testing. I have issues with people coming to a thread about Dark Assault and pylon testing pushing back at me for saying that Dark Assault’s damage is not mediocre. I have done testing, and played the game plenty and done some very challenging things too. From that perspective I have nothing that would motivate me to say Dark’s dmg is mediocre. You say you see no discrimination, so let me point out the facts -> Like I said in another post earlier, I see no one, except me, pushing back against the unsupported claim that Dark’s damage is mediocre, especially when that claim was made in this thread about dark dmg and pylon testing but with no experience, no testing of their own in this specific matter. No one told that person to put up corroborating material or evidence to back that up. Seems people just went along with that. But I come out against that baseless, unproven claim. I only see push back against me for calling this out. So it is very clear that there is discrimination against me. Now you see it? That should suffice. You said — “But I'm a bit confused why you only tested the secondary. Why post a Pylon time at all if you're not using your ATs full potential? “ I answered this already, but I am going to guess you did not read that post. I am going to copy and paste a short part of that —> My personal aim, or my interest, was to get an idea for dark assault damage, and only dark assault ( in regards to Pylon) That is why the test was done using only dark assault, not any other power set. I was not doing this particular test to measure the whole of my dominator as far as dmg from the whole combo. I got more than enough testing (about my whole build) doing very challenging things and I did those things well, so I am more than satisfied. So my test was very specific. If you were sure, how were you sure? Where did you get that assurance from? Hearsay? Rumors? If your answer is yes, then we run into a thing I have a problem with. I don't value rumors nor hearsay, especially in the forums, about sets or powers, performance, and so on. I value experience and testing. Many people messaging me and asking for my DarDark build and many saying they had no idea Dark's dmg was so good. Some others said they never though Dark's dmg was good enough to take down AV+4. But none of them had done testing of themselves. They were just going along with rumors or hearsay. I am totally against that. I am all for playing and experimenting and getting results. I got my results and evidence. I know what it can do. Others who comment about what it can or cannot do WITHOUT testing and first hand experience, that is what I have beef with. Handshake, my friend.

In the AV fight, the strongest debuff to get his HPs down came from Lore pet (Longbow) and that is a 500% regen debuff.

Yes, I understand very well, but without the team and without inspirations, the whole thing changes and they become formidable opponents. Now don't get me wrong. I have solo'd it without inspirations and done also teams of 3, at all times inspirations disabled and temps But Cimerorans belong right up there with the list of dangerous foes for Widows . That's for sure. Tanking with help is one thing Same thing can be said with just about any mob, with the right help, it can be done. But do it without that and you will appreciate just how dangerous they are. Even with a team of suupport, take that team without inspirations or temps or amplifiers and see if it survives. Cimerorans are up there among the very dangerous mobs. I am only saying that from experience, not trying to give hyperbole Cheers

I will be uploading a very brief video of that same Earth/Rad Dom you see in the video, soloing part 2 of ITF , inspirations and temps disabled. I will not cover the whole part 2 since this build took forever to do it and video editing is not really a quick thing to do. And.. I have other projects to upload. I am very happy the video helped and you experienced first hand how much control Earth has outside of just holds or stuns 🙂

A non-flying Fortunata is sure to be in a world of danger or trouble in the Master ITF challenge. Just make sure you have inspirations disabled if you really want to test it. Go alone or in a very small team, and you will see what I am talking about. Cimerorans will be on you like Piranhas

First - Kudos to @sparta and @FUBARczar , Sparta had the most difficult role and character to play here and Fubar had the most important of all roles in the team. Sparta plays a great Earth/Rad Dominator as well and he inspired me recently dust off mine and you can see the video I posted with that one, but it's in the Dominator forums. Fubar is just a master player and here he plays the Kinetics Corruptor, but anything he plays, he's always on point providing great support. Now about the video -- A true widow here (no pun). The LONE survivor --> Small team of only 3, a kinetics corruptor and an Earth/Rad Dominator. Fortunatas are excellent instruments for the Master ITF challenge, and with incarnates they are exponentially more powerful. These are highlights, and examples of play tactics and capabilities. I did share my build. I think Strider has it. Ask him for it. That is a build for the general easy content of the game at 50 and it works very well when exempt down to lower levels It is not for extreme challenges just the usual easy stuff that COH has.

Yes Also, Fast animation was golden But more importantly I needed to fit everything else you see here. Sihpon is for healing only and it is slotted with touch of the nictus. I get 117 healing per tick for 3 ticks. That's a hefty heal. My role with this build is not to be the killer or any main dmg dealer. I just have enough damage so that in the case I need to or I am alone, I will be able to kill whoever I need to kill. My role here is debuff, control, debuff. and aid with dmg when I can. Stealth is important for me, well... for the additional defense, even the suppressed value helps me reach cap or near cap, and also for being able to stealth my way through missions or part 2 caves of ITF, or disabling the turrets in part 3, and so on.

He did use all three pets. That's a good chunk of additional damage. He even wrote it on the post "...timer started on casting ageless, which is then followed up by sleet->haunt-..." I had no pets, he had 3 pets. My average time at top dmg set up was 2:08 His average is around 1:47 That is a difference of only 21 seconds but he has all 3 pets out for the whole fight. I have no pets at all. If you consider, only if you consider, that based on his results the damage can be called good, or top, or among the top, still no reason to call Dark assault mediocre at all, given that my test were done without all 3 pets. UB alone is quite the addition to dmg, no reason to view that as insignificant dmg addition. Now add the Haunt pets to all of that. Again, did you push back vs the other person who claimed that Dark assault is mediocre for dmg? you only pushing back against me, right? Why are you discriminating against me? I searched the whole thread and I don't see you one time calling that other person out nor pushing against that person for making baseless claims. I don't see you lecturing that person about "science" and so on. So why discriminate ?

Let's go over what happened and see if this helps you --> Someone made a claim that Dark's damage is mediocre. That claim was made with no evidence, no proof, no corroborating material. Who in this thread questioned that claimed or pushed against it ? No one except me, right? And because I reject that claim, I get push back but not the person who made the positive claim ?? Everyone else took it at face value? The burden of proof is not upon me I cannot say Dark's damage is mediocre, and neither can anyone else, unless testing was done. Also, taking a look at the available testing 400+ DPS for a secondary alone, not primary... there's no reason to call it mediocre. Mentioning Fire and Energy is only two powers out of 11. The claim was made basing 2 powers as ahead but forgetting that there are 11 powers. I said that IF, and only if, fire and energy would be tested and proven that alone, without primary, they are better than Dark, that STILL does not prove that Dark is mediocre since it would not be in the middle of the pack. If those are the only two sets stronger, then Dark would be 3rd, and that's not mediocre at all. WE good now ?

It would be very nice if testing was done, since this is a thread about pylon testing for the secondary, in this case Dark... It would be very nice if pylon testing isolating the secondary, would be done so we can prove or have evidence to make the claim about which one is 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on. There's no corroborating material in regards to pylon testing and isolating the secondary that does this specifially That's why I don't make claims about who is top or who is mediocre and so on.

With all 3 pets, the times would be shorter. I was not interested in testing that. I only wanted to test dark assault. I get a feeling that others are accepting a claim made, accepting at face value without any testing, without any evidence, to prove the claim. But when I say that I reject that claim and when I say there's no evidence to prove Dark's dmg is mediocre, I get a whole lot of pushback. Double standard? Why not agree with me that without any good evidence to prove the claim that Dark's damage is mediocre, there's no reason to accept that claim, and that the claim was made by someone with no experience doing testing on a thread made specifically about pylon testing ? The issue is that my testing consisted of no primary being used. I said this before. The player on his Dark/Fire, he had his pets out. The other one I see is not dark/Eng, but it's Fire / Eng , and on that one he was also using his primary. Had I used all 3 pets from primary, my times would be faster too. I only wanted to test the secondary. And, another thing I said before, and I will paste it here again -- Even if, only if, Energy and Fire did beat Dark WITHOUT using primary , then keep in mind that STILL DOES NOT make Dark assault mediocre. That is not the middle of the pack since it would mean that OUT OF ELEVEN assault sets, ONLY two have proven to be ahead of Dark assault. Out of 11 assault sets, that IS NOT MIDDLE ground at all; that is not mediocre. So when someone made the claim that Dark was mediocre DAMAGE-wise, it was said that WITHOUT knowing any other pylon testing time for the rest of the assault sets. That is what I had issue with -- Making a claim without any first hand experience, or making a claim without knowing results of any assault sets. So according to the information available , there is no justification for calling Dark Assault a mediocre set, NOT EVEN damage-wise. If it is established using ONLY secondary set without the primary that Dark is in 3rd place, that is NOT mediocre at all. That would be top 3 out of 11 sets. That is not the middle at allSo, my statement stands and it is not incorrect

On a relevant note, I do want to express my appreciation to you all, the players who have taken time, your own personal time, to create AE content. I am especially referring to challenging AE content that can be done at lvl 50, or 45+. Doing Task Forces at 44 is not a fad. I am guessing you are referring to doing the ITF at lvl 44, therefore cutting off incarnates at once. This is not a fad, at least I certainly not seen it outside of one channel that I know of, and I play on two servers. It is a very tiny, a microscopic few, that engage in this. The creator, or the brains behind this is @EV. Blessed his heart. EV did it because he feels, and others feel, the game, the vast majority of this game is just too easy, especially when incarnates are in the mix. However the vast majority of players don't like it to be this challenging. I get it. Enter the AE challenging content created by players. When COH was live, I created a few of these. I loved it. When I came back to the game, I hooked up with @Linea because we both belong to Repeat Offenders. Line loved to create and play these challenging missions. When I say challenging, Linea's lvl 50+ content makes Task Forces at lvl 44 with no inspirations, no incarnates, no temps... his 801 series make all these things look very easy in comparison. Line helped me to get motivated to doing this. I created some that made his own tank(s), who could survive his own 801 series, faceplant in the first mob he faced. Was it extreme? Of course, it was. Did it catch the interests of players wanting challenges? You bet it did. Thanks again to @Linea who took his time to analyze every single number of the mechanics of what was happening in my AE missions. He offered a few tips on how to create more "mild" versions to suit more players. Believe it or not, Linea said that my mission would not be able to find a team to do it successfully to the end, yet, it was Linea and myself who completed it, the first ones to ever do it as a team, a team of two ! He was on his Plant/Time controller, and I was on my Empth. Then I had a few dominators who solo'd the whole thing thanks to the OP "confuse" in combination with domination. From there it was adjusted. Then plenty more players started to join in and even asking me every day I logged on if I was going to run them so they can jump in. Linea took his time, I took my time, and I know many other players create AE content for the sake of more content and more challenges. My empathies to the Devs, they are only volunteers. Creating new content is very hard work. So I am patient. I joined you, Arcane, in asking for more content. I really do. I am also keenly aware that it's very hard to do it when your time is very limited and they are only volunteers not getting paid to do this. @Linea I promise you, I know you asked me to do it, but I promise I will upload the videos. I got side tracked... a lot, lol. Thank you for all the help and the motivation you have given me. Viva 801 !
