Top hats on tiger heads would be the cat's pajamas

I've seen lots of portal hub type bases with alphabetized teleporters all grouped together, so I wanted to make something different. To that end, I made a garage with specialized vehicles. Firetruck goes exclusively to Steel Canyon Dark sedan goes to Croatoa and Dark Astoria Longbow flyer will take me to the Rogue Isles Jet goes to Kallisti Whard and RWZ Get to the chopper if you want to head to Atlas Park Private plane does flyovers at Faultline, Talos, and Striga..... But for convenience, there's also a room with everything grouped together too

Imagine if your 1000 character slots could be linked as ally or enemy.....even if just one or the other. As an enemy, the game loads your alternate character and has them appear as a random EB or AV/Signature Hero in your mission. On teams, only the team leader's enemy would show up. And if you designate a character as an ally, it does nothing at all, but make a special temp power that can be purchased at the START vendor that summons your ally as an EB. To avoid too many bonus summon abilities, maybe have it share its cooldown with the signature summons temps so you can only have one or the other out at any given time.

Costume suggestion: Baggy Socks and Mary Janes
TheMoneyMaker replied to Torchkin's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I remember back on Live asking if we could get a tights option added to Sneakers, so it would be socks, no socks, or tights... and suggested the addition of tights to the wrist bands and bracers in the glove slots. We got the Roman bracers with skin or tights options... like their idea of a fix was to add new costume parts and never even consider updating existing options. Anyhow, good luck with this suggestion. I'm always for more options, but it seems like it might be extra work to move the geometry of the baggy socks to other costume parts. -
Low Priority : More Day Job Badge Accolades ?
TheMoneyMaker replied to JMacClear's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
City Beat Reporter - earn increased influence. Influence is a currency, but it isn't money. It's like good will from others willing to barter with you over stuff, so maybe getting more in touch with the city via a newsroom gives the character the inside scoop on things to squeeze more influence out of people for a little while. Also, a newsroom would be archaic and outdated... a perfect fit in this game, and a great superhero comics trope. But maybe make the idea fit for each side of play: red siders get a newspaper publisher and gold siders get a TV studio because TPN plays a significant role over there. Maybe heroes get a little of both or give them an internet cafe from which people sit around blogging. -
Move the pop up messages to the side

Yup. That's the most recent example that inspired me to make this suggestion. -
This checks out

Random NPC Citizen Compliments

In a world of villainy ruled by villains and filled with other villains that do their own thing, some people might play favorites... or at least favor the lesser of two evils (as they see it). -

I'd like to see badges play more of a role in what random civilians might overhear. Maybe not all of them, because some wouldn't be stuff that the people on the street would know about. But if you stopped Recluse and helped save the world, then having that TF badge should mean that people occasionally mention it... not just once maybe after you've done that task force, or any other recently done mission. And it could extend to other things, too. Exploration badges? Sure, some guy says "There goes [hero]. My sister saw him at [location] in [zone] once." Defeats badges should carry a reputation... you've helped take down giant monsters? People will remember that. "There goes [villain]....I think that guy took down an Arachnos Flyer once. Crazy!" -
It's bad enough that the pop up messages hit when we first log in a character after an event has started, and this year's spring event hits us with 3 in a row on every character we log in on, but I really hate the wedding mission having the bank mission contact pop up in the middle of combat. Is that REALLY necessary? And if it is, can we have an option to default the location of these pop ups be to the side of the screen?

Random NPC Citizen Compliments
TheMoneyMaker replied to Clave Dark 5's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Everyone is a joke to someone. The problem is that you don't want to hear it about you. Actually, the real problem is that we can't murder the civilians on the spot when they do mouth off like that. I think on red side, the civilians should drop like flies like they do in the mayhem missions. -

Play red side and expect fear, loathing, and even mockery. People don't like villains, especially if they live under the threat of that villainy. Embrace the hate. Let it motivate you in a different way.....as in taking out your frustrations on the mobs in your next villainous mission. "Take that Mr. Laughy-McMakes-Fun-of-People!!" **rampant kill-fest ensues** -

Did the NPC run up to you and laugh in your face? Or was it a comment they said because you being nearby triggered it and it's meant to be something you overhear? Because the way I take it is that NPCs are just spouting stuff that's supposed to represent the general sentiment of the civilian populace about your character and not trying to start a conversation with you. People who fear someone generally don't have anything nice to say about the individual unless they are confronted by them and feel the need to say something nice or be obliterated. I'm not missing the point, you're just looking at things from a wrong perspective. Try adjusting your perception rather than expecting to be adored for being a villain. -

That's on you. Looking for praise as a villain shows that you don't have a villain mindset. -
Random NPC Citizen Compliments
TheMoneyMaker replied to Clave Dark 5's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yeah, but just because something makes sense doesn't mean random citizens should start complimenting villains. Instead, maybe you should change your perception of the NPC comments and assume that if they're badmouthing you that you are doing a good job as a villain. Just take their negative statements as a compliment instead of feeling sad about it. -

I'm saying that insults are meant to be insulting. Don't take them personally. They're unintelligent NPCs spouting off as programmed to do, and not a real reflection of you as a player. -
So the new wedding mission has us traveling back in time to verify for Sigil and Kadabra Kill how events took place to see if it played out how either remembered it. I have a few of problems with this premise. Why don't either or both go see for themselves? At the wedding, I don't see Sigil's or Kadabra Kill's past selves in attendance. How would they remember anything at all? If everyone goes (and some people going multiple times) since they offer to let you relive it again and again, wouldn't it play out differently each time with more and more people (and additional temporal duplicates of themselves) showing up to crowd the scene? Will we get a confirmation on whether or not Sigil or Kadabra Kill remembered it accurately or if they're both wrong? It's a cool mission and there's always going to be some handwaving away of temporal mechanics and paradoxes, but it leaves some questions hanging that are going to bother me until they show up again with this mission next year.

Then they are working as intended -
There's no battle cry in General chat channel, and that's fine, don't need people accidentally shouting their battle cry over and over in the General channel. But I noticed that the reason given back when attempting it..... Incorrect format: try /general (Command synonyms: /gen, /z /general) It looks like trying to keep the battle cry out of General created an error for trying to do something in the wrong way. We don't need an error message, we should have text telling us not to use F10 in Gen.

If I'm not mistaken, you get those occasionally after completing contact missions. So... do more missions. -
The real reason Kallisti Wharf has no enemies.
TheMoneyMaker replied to BasiliskXVIII's topic in General Discussion
Is Kallisti Wharf part of Paragon City or an adjacent city? The reason I ask is because the Paragon Transit Authority is present there with the tram, but the PPD drones are replaced by a different drone. Instead of the familiar red and blue police lights, the KW drones have 2 blue lights and they have a black shell and different lettering. Not to mention the architecture looks noticeably different from the rest of Paragon City. -
Damage is king. For blasters, controllers, corruptors, defenders, and dominators, I will ignore defense and resistance to increase my damage; any defense or resistance that I pick up in set bonuses or a side effect of power usage is incidental. For sentinels, stalkers, and scrappers, I put varying degrees of effort into defense/resist, but again damage is priority. Brutes and tankers should be able to weather the brunt of a mob attacking, and so I will try to find the balance of damage and defense/resist with more focus on mitigating the incoming attacks and then leftover efforts to the damage. Brutes come with a nice damage bonus because of fury, and tanks can bring the pain but aren't really intended to be the damage dealer, so I'm happy when I can keep some damage in my tanker builds. Masterminds? I don't play masterminds.

Bring Story Content in line with Code of Conduct
TheMoneyMaker replied to Due Regard's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Code of Conduct is intentionally left to the discretion of those enforcing it, which means that some content might be questionable but allowed because it doesn't really promote something harmful or illegal but acknowledges that such things exist, while other examples might be removed even if it seems less objectionable because one of the GMs feels it could become problematic. The thing is that official content is just that: official. It was approved or sanctioned by the powers that be before the current iteration of the game under Homecoming, and while the Homecoming team's enforcement may be a little more or less heavyhanded at times than the original team, they're not here to rewrite the content of the original team to fit the rules established for Homecoming players.
