Work around I have found use whatever face you want then wear tights over any part of your body that you want skin showing and select the All pattern on the face color to recolor your face whatever you want to match the "tights" skin tone you've chosen. There are some flaws with this, obviously like the bioluminescence tail I posted in another thread won't match because you're limited to actual skin tone, or if you choose any tops with skin that can't be replicated on tights, such as the yakuza tattoos chest or the male top that shows the pierced nipples.

Could we get bioluminescence tail to be colorable similar to ears, choosing either Skin or Color(s). Right now it is skin and 1 color of your choice (first slot) and the second color you pick has no effect. I went to make a character with the Bio-Organic tights options and wanted the Bioluminescence tail (colored dark so it doesn't glow) because it's the only one that kind of matches, but it's skin tone based and the only option it works with is onyx black, and even with that I have to go one shade lighter on the black Bio-Organic parts to match.....and that's it. Can't do the dark blue or purple that I wanted because the skin tones don't match up with the dark costume parts. I'm not asking for more options in the skin tone palette because I know there's potential for the nudity stuff, and whatever. I'm just saying give us a fully colorable tail in that style.

Seems like an awfully convoluted way to get people to play without IOs. And "greater build diversity" seems like another way of saying "let me skip powers no one wants". I'm not sure saga system is the right way to describe what you're asking for, and it seems pretty obvious from all the replies that what you're asking for isn't exactly a popular idea. Look, picking and skipping powers is a thing we all do and have done forever. You have to run before you can fly, but curiously you have to also run before you can walk. The game isn't perfect, but I think you're overthinking the whole process.

Martial arts are not available to some ATs despite the AT possessing something that would indicate a martial arts theme on some level. In other words, one cannot play as a martial arts mastermind, and playing as a ninja mastermind only gives you bow and arrow attacks. You cannot wield a ninja sword, you cannot use martial arts. Since this is a limitation of the set, adding an option outside the primary and secondary options to give a little more appropriate depth seems like an easy fix. Perhaps a better option would be a Martial Mastery ancillary pool for masterminds, but wouldn't it be simpler to add two alternate animation effects to the fighting pool than to create a new pool just for MMs?

Moon Vixen art isn't displaying. I can't listen right now, but I'm looking forward to them. Also I won't be disappointed if Dance Fighter doesn't have an Olivia Newton John vibe to her song, but I will be disappointed if it sounds anything like Gymkata.

I felt like they really dropped the ball when they added a bunch of new auras with new options, including the combat version of each, and instead of taking the opportunity to expand on the old auras all they did was give combat options for what already existed. I sometimes felt like anytime they introduced a new shiny thing they were hoping it would distract players who wanted to see older stuff updated.

There's a lot to be said for the minimalist approach. Some other options: auras from the Energy Aura set, the atomic aura with the enrgy balls orbiting you, floating runes for the wizardy types, and a barely visible effect for those who want their force fields to present as some kind of invisible telekinetic effect

Personally that's the worst part for me. Get a little of something I like on one, and a little of something else on another, and maybe something else on a third......and then, instead of liking each for standing out in their own way I end up frustrated that each lacks what they others have and that I can't have everything in one place. Give me everything and let me choose to use what I want. Stand out by having the mostest of the most stuff. Frustrating.
