Sentinels have a number of variations from the standard powersets, such as regen being different, but also pretty much all their blast sets have noteworthy alterations as well. This is because despite the typical assumption that they are basically scrappers with ranged attacks and no crit, sentinels are a different AT and meant to be played differently than tough blasters/reachy scrappers. Making some changes to how their powers work achieves this.

league leader being able to set team leaders could help with this. sometimes a 50 team leader bails or disconnects thru no fault of their own, leaving a team without high enough leader and the next person down the list is automatically promoted. But if that person is AFK everyone is waiting and complaining because nothing can be done until they return to the keyboard and promote someone else. actually, not entirely true. the league lead can tell the team members to quit and then he can reinvite them after booting the non-responsive team leader.

I mean... why not? I've played a kin/NrG stalker with Sorcery pool + Psi Mastery ancillary giving it additional ranged attacks. With prestige attacks Blackwand & Nemesis Staff, I have a solid ranged attack chain, and pity anything that gets too close when I placate & assassin strike.

I was speaking facetiously, of course, highlighting that typical mentality.

The test server is for that? I thought it was for testing new content before it goes live. Sure, it could be used for this, but that isn't what its for and it shouldn't be expected that people need to go there to "try before you buy" into an incarnate power.

Lores. Every so often, I try out something new. Sometimes I like, sometimes I hate. And when I pick something I hate, it does not enhance my enjoyment of the game in any way, shape, or form to have to wait until I build up the resources to make a new one. Is it necessary? No. Desirable? Yes. If anyone doesn't want it, there would be zero expectation that they would have to use it.

Some people may play because they enjoy the grind. Others do not; they play because they enjoy the game or the sense of nostalgia. And if the HC devs wanted us to grind and earn every little thing for the sake of keeping us playing, I don't think they would have unlocked capes, auras, all costume parts, and pretty much every other aspect of the game. But hey, if you like the idea of grind grind grind to get the next thing, I think there are other servers that cater to what you're interested in. Maybe you should go look into those.

If we were playing a game that required a subscription of paying customers to keep playing to keep the game alive, it might make a little more sense. But this is no longer a premium game. The rules have changed.

I guess we'll need another week of the event to continue our research into the Mapserver phenomenon.

So your complaint is that people who "want something now" with regard to incarnate changes are somehow different that people who want a regular power respec change "now" are somehow different because people can earn different kinds of incarnate powers in each slot. I think there's already a "not now" feature in the incarnate sphere with cool down times on changing stuff out, and especially if you've used powers or been attacked recently from when you try to equip something new.

So give out a handful of free incarnate respecs... maybe as additional rewards for vet levels. Boom, limited free.
