  1. Brewin coffee, about to be online. Let's get this over with.
  2. ALL scrappers should get the same taunt aura as brutes. Full stop. The dev decision otherwise is based on a crap decision. Edit: I didn't used to care. But since the changes THEY made, runners are now a ridiculous and aggravating issue.
  3. And that's why you're not running Clobber, Jawbreaker, Shatter, repeat for ST and Clobber, Shatter, Crowd Control repeat for AoE. But I get it, not all of us have a recharge addiction.
  4. Minor quibble: Invul has 6 resist powers, 2 defense powers and a permable HP buff. Counterpoint: It's far more resist than defense and the psi hole becomes a joke when you 6 slot purples. Since Inv's defense scales with the number of enemies around you just as Will's regen does, it has the exact same interaction with Nrg Melee's ST orientation. Point to Will? No click but the T9. Point to Invul? It survives when Will doesn't. Both are inferior to SR which is inferior to Shield. Enjoy! 🙂
  5. I grok this. I've got several nrg melee characters and grind my teeth at every corpse blast.
  6. Aye. They'll have to nerf it for scrappers\stalkers as they did with Nrg and Stone Melee. Ya know... instead of just rebalancing the sets properly.
  7. No Inca Strike? With enough recharge, you might get away with Inca, Radiant, Gleaming, Radiant... having to take boxing/kick to get cross punch up to speed sounds kinda wasteful. Let's see... Incandescent Strike Arcanatime 3.432sec Recharge 20sec Radiant Strike Arcanatime 1.32sec Recharge 10sec Gleaming Blast Arcanatime 1.848sec Recharge 8sec So Rad Strike needs to recharge in less than GB's 1.848 seconds. Oh... yea, that ain't happenin. What about IS, RS, GB, GE? Glinting Eye Arcanatime 1.848 Recharge 4sec Then we need IS to recharge in 1.32+1.848+1.848 = 5.016 seconds... needs 299% total recharge. That's very doable. And no need to take the fighting pool at all.
  8. More random thoughts. Why does Elude still grant DDR when SR is capped without it? It should have been dumped and Elude completely changed when they disallowed permalude builds with ED and the GDN. I dislike the blood frenzy mechanic. Savage's first real AoE is rending flurry. If I use it at 5 stacks of BF, I can't build more BF so seeing the indicator pop up makes me NOT want to click it. Or I can waste brain space on watching the stacks and/or only click it when it's not lit up. It's a distraction. With claws, there's no thought. Just shreddin. At least savage leap doesn't cause exhaustion but at a 40sec base recharge time, it's not gonna be cycled into a regular attack chain worth a shit. Given that you face so many guns in the lowbie levels, which are ranged with defense debuffs, I can see why the OG devs chose to have agile show up before dodge, so maybe just swapping Evasion with Quickness would be acceptable. Maybe.
  9. 4.5 hours to level 20. Currently at +0/x4 w/ bosses and 100% solo. Two faceplants. First was when I didn't see that second Caliban, second was against a fresh spawn of Vahz. My fire/regen brute experiment faceplanted a hell of a lot more often by this point. Other than the power order, as covered earlier, and the uselessness of Elude in 99% of the content, I'm really not seeing a problem here. Last thing SR or this game needs is more power creep.
  10. So the set with Quick Recovery is getting more out of Savage's endurance discount than SR with it's complete lack of endurance tools? I'll give you that SR needs no recharge, as Regen does, but of course, SR doesn't need the click heals that Regen so relies upon. I am on Excel. Same global name. How about some max diff carnies and arachnos? I'll bring my claws/sr main. Or if it's just the 30s you're worried about, you'll have to give me a day or two to get there on the new savage/sr. Edit: Or if ya like, we can go for broke and duo a max diff, no insps, no temps, no incarnate master run rules ITF.
  11. And the backpedaling begins! Would you like me to use a different primary? It won't change anything.
  12. 14 at the 2.5 hr mark. Still 1 use of rest, a faceplant did occur... during Eagle Eye's personal story arc when I was someone else with only Rise to the Challenge instead of being SR. 🙂 That first longbow spawn was nasty. Taking a break now. More later to continue proving this abject silliness wrong cuz I enjoy doing so.
  13. Level 12. Picked up CJ. 24.08% melee def, 30.94% range def, 2.31% aoe def. Still zero faceplants, zero uses of Rest. When does this start sucking again? Between 30 and 36? I'll get there eventually. But I'll probably start doin radio missions to avoid the damn hunt X in another zone missions.
  14. Total side note apropos of nothing, my new savage/sr scrapper is now 11, street hunted to 7, Shauna's Skulls arc to 11 so far, zero Rests, zero faceplants, nothing but SOs, no amplifiers, dbl-xp enabled. Whole hour and a half with three smoke breaks. The horror. I'm drinking, too, so maybe this'll be my night. Guess I wasn't done.

    StJ/???

I honestly think you'll be very happy with either StJ/Elec or StJ/Nrg. Both will be solid. Really comes down to whether you want to be hidden all the time or not due to Nrg's Cloak.
  16. ... nah, I'm done. May Satan have mercy on your soul. By all means, Devs, please, run the mystical numbers that prove how awful SR is and buff it accordingly. If this guy says regen is better than SR, it absolutely must be true. I mean, he thinks IDF are a problem for a /SR when they aren't for his /Rad... there MUST be SOMEthing going on that NONE of us are seeing!
  17. It's a nice QoL change but doesn't do anything to resolve many of the other problems with the EATs. Dwarf mez protection needs to carry through to human and nova for X # of seconds. All human buffs/toggles should be available in dwarf and nova forms. Dwarf and Nova attacks should be carry over clones from the human attacks so that you only need to slot said attack once. Betting this one would be argued about the most. Yes, it would mean dwarf and nova attacks would no longer be slottable because they would no longer actually exist, and would only have damage/range/cone size modified by form modifiers, much like tanks do now. This would also mean no more double-mire for black dwarf and no more double-heal for white dwarf but you'd get to use the PB heal in nova and the WS mire in dark nova. You would still be able to slot the forms themselves since they are actual power picks. Probably can't be fixed, but the form shifting wonkiness that occurs when attempting to drop to human, but you hit the macro/bind to detoggle dwarf/nova and swap trays, fails if you do it during an attack animation, would be nice to see corrected somehow.
  18. And this is why I have hasten on auto. It tells me when it's time to click PB.
  19. I'm positive that you know as well as I do how OP that would be.
  20. I love Invul. I don't see why that's not a reason for tanks to get NrgAura.
  21. Proliferate Regen as is to tanks. Just do it.
  22. Then you should review the logs. They'll show you what to fix. Cuz if you're dyin to 4 +4 bosses, your build ain't right. Or you've created a build that should specifically run at a lower diff as we do with squishy characters.
  23. I think what is actually missing from modern PvP is sportsmanship. Being able to respect your opponent for getting into the field at all and being gracious in either victory or defeat can go a long way toward making folks feel welcome.
