  1. Wrong again. The game is everything the game has to offer.
  2. Yea, just do it all in notepad with find/replace! /sarcasm off Which formula? Have you already calculated what the weight of cast time should be in relation to the existing formulae? Has anyone? Have any idea what the ramifications will be? Castle and BAB thought they knew with the Claws reconfig back on live and ended up with me on beta taking down a pylon in an absolutely ridiculously small amount of time (for back then, at least.) I'm not saying I disagree. I've been asking for the same thing for ages but I rather doubt the work involved will be anywhere near "trivial."
  3. Idea makes me think of the melee/debuff archetype I've always wanted. Make the secondary full of PBAoE debuff toggles/clicks that would act as an armor. In Time's case, honestly it's almost there. Change the ranged powers to pbaoe clicks, time crawl to a toggle, and temporal selection to affect self. Adjust values as needed.
  4. On that topic, while I was running up this claws/stone scrapper, not all that long after running that swipe-only/inv scrapper to 50, I returned to at least pondering claws without followup. It's a clunky power and I'd honestly rather live without it, but attempting to do so would cripple the set's DPS unless I went full bore assault, tactics, kismet on a proced out chain of focus, slash, moonbeam, eviscerate, shockwave or some other such monstrosity of un-sexy. So the ponderings leave as soon as they appear and I go back to the tried and true.
  5. You certainly don't need them to function well. But "properly?" That needs 313% total recharge in followup.
  6. It's also completely false. Even as per the developers since day 1 with the existence of the scrapper. There is *some* content in the game that required a team. Far less these days.
  7. Roger that. And the +75% damage from doublestacked followup makes a lotta difference, too.
  8. This whole thread is kinda dildos. I'll be the first to admit that for the vast majority of my characters, there are only four regular pools. Fighting (Boxing, Tough, Weave,) Leaping (Combat Jumping,) Speed (Hasten,) and Flight (Fly, Hover, sometimes that last power as an LotG mule that gets deleted from the tray.) I took Confront for the first time since maybe Issue 2 on my new claws/stone scrapper specifically because of the ridiculous rate at which enemies are running away these days. It was, indeed, useless. Sure, it might keep one runner from rabbiting but some of the time it had absolutely zero effect and they just kept on goin. Provoke was better (had to drop CJ for it) but it, too, failed completely from time to time and isn't even autohit. So, I get where the OP is coming from but I still can't agree with the requested change. It's just ridiculously unnecessary considering all the varied ways we can already get around the battlefield quickly and the devs could use that time/energy are far more important items... Like un-assing the "I'm now terrified so I'm gonna run to the next freakin map" issue they created. As for the new claws/stone scrapper? Seems he's heading for the chopping block. Maybe I'll do some graniteless stone/somethin tank instead.
  9. Took my claws/sr brute up against one of the DE monsters north of PI's main island. When lore pets were up, its health dropped. When they were down, it healed back up. Daggers would have made it happen PDQ. Based on pylon times, pretty sure this means both my claws/sr scrapper and shield/nrg tank could pull it off and it would probably be a cakewalk for a */bio brute.
  10. This is the part that has never made sense to me. My rage has been a zero end cost toggle for a couple decades.
  11. What numbers are you running? I could see spines having better AoE but its ST damage is freakin abysmal. You taking doublestacked followup into account? Edit: If it helps your calcs, my two chains are Followup, Focus, Slash, repeat and Followup, Spin, Shockwave, repeat.
  12. While it'd be nice, it won't happen. The answer is always "it'd step on tank/brute toes and you can always take provoke."
  13. Oh yea.... last thought on that: In the end, shield also loses, badly, because we can't do claws/shield.
  14. Lots to love about NrgAura but every time I've played it, I've found myself having to click Energize and Nrg Drain often enough that I know they're offsetting any gains I'm getting from the +recharge. So, once again, shield wins. Also wins against SR if you're wondering about that.
  15. I think most of us are agreed on that. There are caveats and autohit powers and Rularuu Eyeballs, etc, but on the whole? Yea, Defense > Resist.
  16. Yup. But that 5% of the time is only true against even level minions. +4 bosses and AVs are going to be tagging you far more often. 90% resists is just 90% resists with 90% resistance debuff resistance. (Unless you're over the cap. RDR can go up to 100% where DDR is hard capped at 95%.)
  17. All of them can. Even your SS/WP. Do you have hasten to tighten up your single target chain and get you to where you can double stack Rage? Soul Mastery for Gloom will greatly improve your ST damage output. How IOed out are you now? I only ask because the vast majority of AV soloing is done by fully kitted out builds.
  18. I've never taken stealth. I also hate Hide and thus Stalkers. Apparently I'm that damn narcissistic with my characters.
  19. First time loggin back in, hearing the music, seein Ms Liberty... yea. It's a gut punch.
  20. C'mon, man, this isn't a true statement. Playing the game generates inf. Merits for arcs. Inf for killing. Random invention drops. Stores to sell shit. Ok, sure, if I do NOTHING but level alts from 1 to 20 and never sell anything and I have double xp going....
  21. Again... it wasn't work for me. I play the game to kill shit cuz it's what makes the game fun. If it was work, I wouldn't do it. If only I had that option in real life.
