  1. I've got the full set of Superior Might of the Tanker in Followup. So regardless of whether I'm in single target or aoe mode, I generally see three stacks as long as I'm in the thick of it. No clue on the math behind it. Edit: Which means, yea, you need to stick it in an attack you use often. I'm sure some folks prefer AoEs but I spend a lot of time fighting hard targets so that would be counterproductive.
  2. C'mon, man, if you're gonna cheat like that might as well go scrapper. 🙂
  3. I meant the 90% cap. On that character, with 3 stacks of MotT proc, that goes to 62.91% SL. So I only need another 27.09% to hard cap which I'll hit at 32.91% health which in my case will leave me (didn't have accolades turned on in that screenshot, actually have 2846.17 HP) 936 HP. Damn near incarnate softcapped with capped SL, capped DDR and 936 HP makes for a looooong lifeline. Edit: DOH! Werner's right... forgot all about the Reactive Defenses scaling resist proc. Soooo yea, even more HP at resist cap.
  4. As it's the difference between 42.81% SL resist and 19.25% (turning tough on and off in Mids) for my SR/Claws tank, and knowing that the vast majority of incoming damage for any meleer is SL, I'm gonna side on Tough/Weave are necessary for full/proper functionality for any SR user for any AT that can use it. Edit: Here's what I shot for on mine. Considering the 20.1% you can get from triple stacking the grossly overpowered SMotT AT IO proc and then SR's scaling resists, hitting the cap to SLFCEN ain't hard at all.
  5. Brutes and tanks are identical and both have longer recharge and thus do more base damage than the scrapper version.
  6. Consider it another form of Zen rather than a malfunction.
  7. You just answered the question. Kids are born so that they can deal with all the unnecessary crap we accumulated in life! Maybe make a couple bucks for their never retirement.
  8. Pretty sure I'm on his ignore list anyway but at least yall will see my corrections.
  9. I don't disagree at all that debuffs and patches are exacerbating the issue further but again, I don't recall in all my time soloing scrappers back on live that I ever had to deal with the running we're seeing now in standard content. And I certainly never saw taunt being overridden/ignored as it is now.
  10. Yup. And yet we still can't get a full answer on WHY it's happening here cuz it sure as hell wasn't happening on live that I can remember. Granted, my memory sucks, but I just do not recall runners being an issue on live even for scrappers in any way that mattered.
  11. Wrong again. The game is everything the game has to offer.
  12. Yea, just do it all in notepad with find/replace! /sarcasm off Which formula? Have you already calculated what the weight of cast time should be in relation to the existing formulae? Has anyone? Have any idea what the ramifications will be? Castle and BAB thought they knew with the Claws reconfig back on live and ended up with me on beta taking down a pylon in an absolutely ridiculously small amount of time (for back then, at least.) I'm not saying I disagree. I've been asking for the same thing for ages but I rather doubt the work involved will be anywhere near "trivial."
  13. Cuz that thread ain't hard to find.
  14. Idea makes me think of the melee/debuff archetype I've always wanted. Make the secondary full of PBAoE debuff toggles/clicks that would act as an armor. In Time's case, honestly it's almost there. Change the ranged powers to pbaoe clicks, time crawl to a toggle, and temporal selection to affect self. Adjust values as needed.
  15. On that topic, while I was running up this claws/stone scrapper, not all that long after running that swipe-only/inv scrapper to 50, I returned to at least pondering claws without followup. It's a clunky power and I'd honestly rather live without it, but attempting to do so would cripple the set's DPS unless I went full bore assault, tactics, kismet on a proced out chain of focus, slash, moonbeam, eviscerate, shockwave or some other such monstrosity of un-sexy. So the ponderings leave as soon as they appear and I go back to the tried and true.
  16. You certainly don't need them to function well. But "properly?" That needs 313% total recharge in followup.
  17. It's also completely false. Even as per the developers since day 1 with the existence of the scrapper. There is *some* content in the game that required a team. Far less these days.
  18. Go EA. This is why and we all know it.
  19. Sure. Claws/SR brute: Shield/Nrg tank:
  20. Roger that. And the +75% damage from doublestacked followup makes a lotta difference, too.
  21. This whole thread is kinda dildos. I'll be the first to admit that for the vast majority of my characters, there are only four regular pools. Fighting (Boxing, Tough, Weave,) Leaping (Combat Jumping,) Speed (Hasten,) and Flight (Fly, Hover, sometimes that last power as an LotG mule that gets deleted from the tray.) I took Confront for the first time since maybe Issue 2 on my new claws/stone scrapper specifically because of the ridiculous rate at which enemies are running away these days. It was, indeed, useless. Sure, it might keep one runner from rabbiting but some of the time it had absolutely zero effect and they just kept on goin. Provoke was better (had to drop CJ for it) but it, too, failed completely from time to time and isn't even autohit. So, I get where the OP is coming from but I still can't agree with the requested change. It's just ridiculously unnecessary considering all the varied ways we can already get around the battlefield quickly and the devs could use that time/energy are far more important items... Like un-assing the "I'm now terrified so I'm gonna run to the next freakin map" issue they created. As for the new claws/stone scrapper? Seems he's heading for the chopping block. Maybe I'll do some graniteless stone/somethin tank instead.
  22. Took my claws/sr brute up against one of the DE monsters north of PI's main island. When lore pets were up, its health dropped. When they were down, it healed back up. Daggers would have made it happen PDQ. Based on pylon times, pretty sure this means both my claws/sr scrapper and shield/nrg tank could pull it off and it would probably be a cakewalk for a */bio brute.
  23. This is the part that has never made sense to me. My rage has been a zero end cost toggle for a couple decades.
  24. What numbers are you running? I could see spines having better AoE but its ST damage is freakin abysmal. You taking doublestacked followup into account? Edit: If it helps your calcs, my two chains are Followup, Focus, Slash, repeat and Followup, Spin, Shockwave, repeat.
  25. While it'd be nice, it won't happen. The answer is always "it'd step on tank/brute toes and you can always take provoke."
