  1. Once again, seems folks underestimate the mitigation provided by being at range. Sent armor + mez protection + range > Brute/Scrapper/Stalker armor + mez protection. And it's all because enemy range damage is vastly inferior to enemy melee damage. Take that Sent into melee range and stay there, it's dying before the Stalker does.
  2. Make it cost more converters, I don't care. I've got a bucket fulla HOs that aren't even worth putting on the market and I need more Micros. Thanks. -BZB
  3. Back before the snap, I soloed 95% of the time. I tend to team more now because I'm a member of a regular group of players. Technically, I'm not part of their SGs as I have my own that all my characters belong to so that I have my own base but I'm on their Discord channel and at 9:30 EST on any given night, I can expect that I'll be playing with them. This has allowed me to play a lot of the archetypes that I generally avoided in the old days because it made it easy to do so. But it hasn't changed a fundamental fact of this game: The melee ATs can solo and do so well. The others suck at it. This doesn't mean it can't be done. My fire/dark controller can solo at +4/x8 against many enemy groups but it's slow as a turtle on quaaludes compared to how my melee characters rip through most everything. There are going to be exceptions to the rule. You will find some players that have managed to turn their squishy into something miraculous but it doesn't happen until incarnates are in place after 50 or if they're heavily leaning on the P2W vendor cheats. I'm not trying to sway you away from turning your controller into a soloing god. You can do it if you decide to and utilize ALL the tools available to us in this new CoH world. I'm only attempting to set expectations properly.
  4. While it's true that there is no portal to Cimerora, if you went inside the mansion in Night Ward and received the badge, you can then use the LFG tab in Chat, choose the Imperious taskforce, lock it to yourself, hit ok, and you will teleport to Cimerora. This method can be used to teleport to any zone with a contact that starts a TF/SF as long as you have them unlocked which most are by default.
  5. If you're having difficulty boiling water, painting your house is a viable solution.
  6. Will even that overcome the mastermind inherent endurance nerf? (C'mon, devs, get rid of it. It's as dumb as the original kheldian inherent nerfs.) On topic, if I know a team is already balanced and all they really need from me is more damage, I bust out my claws/bio scrapper. If I think for a second that debuffs will be more useful than MOAR DAMUGE!!! then I bring my fire/rad corruptor and if I think they need to be made a bit safer, it'll be the time/fire defender. And if I want to get the same job done but do it solo, there's that completely broken shield/nrg tank ready to go.
  7. Seeing some mixed conversations here. Thread's about LRSF but comments are talking MLTF. Not honestly seeing how 8 T4ed tanks would even break a sweat stomping either without needing to lean on daggers.
  8. In fairness, I've no idea how good it is compared to a procmonster setup. I get @1:45 on a pylon with my mace/bio scrapper with hybrid assault in play and that's without ageless which might tighten it up some.
  9. Holy crap.... I have to disagree with Shred Monkey?!?!? Clobber, Jawbreaker, Shatter, repeat is glorious but needs recharge to pull it off. Couldn't do that if I had it all proced out.
  10. Ice vs Shield SOs only. We'll argue base diff since we're only on SOs. 3 enemies in range. Hoarfrost is only up 66% of the time. True Grit is a passive. Seems to me Shield wins thanks to all the extra resistance to SLENT (can bump SL if we lose the endred in Deflection) but I guess Ice's extra HP 2/3 of the time might make up for it. Ice gets 51.9% DDR, Shield gets 65.91 with AD which is permanent at 2 recred SOs. Ice does have better aggro control but the +damage from AAO and the extra AoE wins the day for me. This is all, of course, going purely off Mids which I know can't be fully trusted at the moment. Edit: Guess my point is that I'm not seeing anything "advanced" about shield. It does more for less slot investment and covers more bases.
  11. Best choice. In the end, the tank will be tough enough to survive while still dishing out enough damage to get the job done. The scrapper will kill a lot faster but won't survive at the bleeding edge while solo. Teamed? None of it matters.
  12. Negative. That was an inquiry, not a suggestion!
  13. On the topic of going outside, I did a round of yard work on Fri. That was enough for the week.
  14. Lumi, I know not why, but all your images save the last one fail to load in both Firefox and Edge. Hyperlink too long maybe?
  15. So why haven't Scrapper EPP Gloom/Moonbeam/Shadow Meld and Sent EPP Mind Probe/Dominate been nerfed yet?
  16. Still seems like the best course of action, and one I see the regeners that dig it lean on, are the big buff powers. Eye of the Magus/Demonic, Rune of Protection, Unrelenting and the like. You know... crutches like blasters use. <grin>
  17. Back on live I had an AE arc that ended with the player fighting an AV level BZB. Apparently AV level SR is kinda difficult to punch through. I get what Warpact is shootin for, I think, where it'd turn into a constant Red vs Blue, eye for an eye retaliatory strike, and it would be something else to liven up zone X... But it could also easily be a zone event that gets completely ignored like the building fires in Steel.
  18. I'd fight 'em! ... Or just as likely hang out with them for a beer.
  19. Can we have perma-night in bases these days?
  20. I just watched Spider-Man: No Way Home last night and had moments that made me feel as I did when I first saw Sam Raimi's 1st Spider-Man thanks to Willem Dafoe. I don't feel overhammered by the comic book movies. Compared to the total shit of reality on this planet at the moment, even the crappy stuff is a welcome distraction.
  21. I only quit when the devs made decisions that pissed me off. Not playing out of burnout/boredom appears to be a new thing. Sure! But I can still be incredibly grateful to them all while still being annoyed at decisions they make. I don't really feel the need to do anything. I don't care about the player population. I have an SG I run with and a team of devs that are gonna do what they do as long as they want to and I can either roll with it while enjoying some good game related arguments, go elsewhere or just let it go. If the devs ever let us know that they're gonna let it go, hopefully they'll give us some tips on setting up our own instances and we'll do so or not.
