Sooooo while +4/x2 was certainly doable, having to claw through spawns of mechmen and hoverbots with nothing but swipe and them spawning as +5s made me drop back to +2. Doable at the pace of a barbiturate laden snail is no way to go through life, son. -
Sounds like the old days. I jumped ship many moons ago because of how bad Radeon's drivers got/were/always will be apparently. But just in case, here's my ancient ATI Settings Guide from the old forums. Irradiated Ground is an archetype power and even in a primary and doesn't allow the AT IOs. Ice Patch, same boat, doesn't appear to allow for any Set IOs at all. But Blazing Aura and Burn both allow for Sets and AT. Seems to me there's quite a few powers out there that should take them that don't. And since someone using brawl (an inherent power that EVERY AT gets) is affected by their inherent (see controller containment and brute fury) then ALL inherents should function with it. Tank brawl should punchvoke. Scrapper brawl should crit. And Everyone should be able to slot it up with their AT IOs.

If you want to lead/schedule, my fire/bio sent is fully tricked out. I'm on Excel. Wed/Thu are SG nights but any other night I can swing a few runs.

Suggestion: Allow Brawl to take Archetype Invention Origin enhancements as it does other Invention enhancements. Cuz some of us want to 6 slot brawl with AT IOs. "Some" might be defined as me. On one character. Cuz why the hell not? Edit: And other pool power attacks? Again, why not? If a scrapper is using boxing, why shouldn't they be able to slot their AT IOs within it?

I shift during missions. I'm only in damage mode for av/gm fights, usually sit in efficient and have no issues going defensive if I sense things are about to go sideways. It's a pretty cool set, if clicky as hell. Edit: While that may seem to contradict my prior statement, the two are actually both true. Even in defensive mode, since my builds are built for max damage, bio is pretty dang squishy due to lack of slow resists. I could shore it up some but it'd eat into the damage side. Edit2: And now I want to rebuild my stone/bio brute. Dangit.

Bio ain't nothin but the max +damage armor to me. It's the thing I use for my best pylon times or when I know I'm teaming. Solo? It's squishy as heaven. Edit: Course... there is defensive mode and one could build specifically to cover the holes instead of going max damage....

For those that don't know, Houtex was a player back before the snap that leveled a character from 1 to 50 using nothing but brawl. And I may be understating this accomplishment as my brain is telling me that he might have also done it with nothing but street sweeping and before the days of double XP. I have no intention of being that awesome. But I will share with you: Pain Jain - The Swipe/Inv Scrapper. Here's her level 20 build. I will be soloing her from 1 to 50 using nothing but Swipe on auto. I did take strike but only as a mule for the Scrapper's Strike Crit Bonus IO. Regular play, story arcs, street sweeping, insps, IOs, all allowed. Amps (and other P2W buffs/attacks) will not be in use. Double XP is ABSOLUTELY going to be used. 🙂 So far, it really hasn't been bad at all but I suspect the next 8 levels to Invincibility will be quite the slog. This thread is for tracking purposes throughout the journey.

Our SG ran one on Excel. Think we had to pad with a couple secondary accounts but not even sure about that. BillyMailman has been leading us through for badging.

All three of my Claws and SR users have Musculature. The scrapper and the brute run barrier. The tank does have ageless but that's because he runs assault and tactics where the brute and scrapper don't. Rularuu aren't as much of an issue as people think. Back before the snap I was running laps around the Storm Palace on the scrapper. The eyeballs can certainly lay some pain down but that's why we kill them first. I do think Positron's disintegration took the tank out the other day in an iTrial, but that was due more to me being in scrapperlock than anything else. I can understand this. You do have to click a lot more with Claws than you do NrgMel but the plus side to that is that you spend far less time corpse blasting on teams. However, I still managed to barely beat the two hour time limit last night on a solo max diff no insps/temps/amps/deaths ITF with the new SR/Claws tank build. Granted, this was around 40 minutes slower than my SD/Nrg/Soul tank but that combo is ridiculously broken.
