  4. Does anything offer end-drain resistance? We can at least get some DDR from Ageless Radial, and you can go Ageless Core for more recovery, but I can't think of anything at the moment that grants drain resist.

  6. On a full team, a brute is likely to be a superior choice over scrappers and tanks. A team of 8 will probably be supplying buffs which brutes thrive on. A tank will never match a brute at the damage cap for damage output and a scrapper will never match a brute at the damres cap for mitigation. All while retaining taunt auras and the real taunt.

  8. Semantics is what it is. A change in functionality that makes something worse than it was is a nerf. You can call it a fix all day long but it doesn't matter at all.

  10. I liked how the Champions PnP RPG dealt with KB. It allowed me to create a boxer with 2 attacks. One was a lethal jackhammer. The other did massive KB and created a force wall directly behind the enemy so that the KB distance to object calculation made the attack do massive damage. KB doesn't do extra damage when you knock an enemy into a wall. That's sad. Also, AoE KB pisses me off to no end. I've gathered these farks around me so that my AoEs are more efficient and you want to toss them all over the place? You suck at this and should be ashamed. 🙂

  13. Same here. Only problem I see with it is figuring out how to balance it for difficulty settings given how weak some debuffs can become at +4. But the idea? Love it and have asked for the same before.
  14. I just forgot about it. They're both crap.
  15. I noticed the same thing the other night on live but it was with followup on one of my claws users. Ended up with 10+ icons showing but combat monitor showed the correct tohit and damage buffs. I think I was also seeing a similar issue with hybrid assault core and its buff icons. Also on live. I'll attempt to get screenshots next time.
  16. I have to argue both sides of this one. I absolutely agree that damage auras, in order to function properly within the archetype's function, should both crit and taunt. Neither is the case now. The flip side is that powers like RttC, Invinc and AAO will all continue to function exactly as described without a taunt aura. They just won't function as well. If we are to accept that the scrapper's job is to kill shit, then every set having a taunt aura benefits in doing that job. I hear you but I will not accept a standardization of taunt auras without an associated standardization of duration times as already done for brutes and tanks. Total side note here concerning stepping on other AT roles. I have MANY times struggled to maintain an AV's aggro with my tank when a brute is hammering away on the same AV. This is in part due to the brute's taunt aura having the same magnitude as the tank's and this is wrong and should also be corrected. Thus my statement far earlier in the thread that brute taunt mag should be reduced to scrapper taunt mag. I agree completely. Before the snap, before AT IOs came into play, my claws/sr brute DID out-damage my claws/sr scrapper and did so with more HP and thus more utilization of the scaling damres. The claws/sr brute was numerically superior in every way to the claws/sr scrapper. This actually prompted me to move the character that had been my main since Issue 1 to another server and make him anew as a brute on Pinnacle. Thankfully, that is no longer the case thanks to brute nerfs and the scrapper AT IOS. The only BZB that has gone above 200 vet levels is BZB scrap. Course... that was only because I absolutely needed that screenshot of him at 666 vet lvls and 666 badges. For statements B and C, no argument. You've got the truth dead on.

  18. I don't see one nor do I think a damage buff is warranted for scrappers at all under any circumstance. We don't need more powercreep. We just need standardization. I scrap by hitting tab for target, f to follow and cycle through the appropriate attack chains until it's time to hit tab and f again. Stating that I'm wishing for standardization of taunt auras just because I'm too lazy to move an extra few feet is rude, short-sighted and wrong. It has absolutely nothing to do with the distance I have to travel to a target and everything to do with the unfairness of the have/have-not discrepancy and everything that comes with it. A discrepancy I will again state that is only a scrapper problem. Tanks and brutes have no such issue. Stalkers have no such issue. Even our new cousin the sentinel has no such issue. No, scrappers aren't bad at all. They dish out fantastic damage and are sturdy enough to often survive doing so.
  19. Brainstorm - RWZ - On some building staring at the mothership - 60FPS Excelsior - RWZ - On some building staring at the mothership - 72FPS Refresh rate in game live - 144 Refresh rate in game beta - Was set to 60. Changed to 144 and now also at 72FPS on beta.
  20. But they did get stone melee. Between that and energy melee, it's only a matter of time and we even get a good idea on how'd they might do it. Rage will be turned into a high end toggle and KOBlow will only crit for an extra 28% damage but get double mag on the hold. No need to alter SS on brutes and tanks at all that way.
