  1. Same as with claws. (Referring to your wm/bio/mb time.) My wm/bio scrap is at 2 mins, no moonbeam in play. Chain is only Clobber, Jawbreaker, Shatter, repeat. Bet ageless would tighten that up some but wouldn't get me anywhere near 1.5 mins.
  2. Huh. Whenever my SG wants me to stop running off on my own or aggroing every spawn in sight they just ask and I do. Mostly. OTOH, they just as often tell me to go kill shit until there's no more red boxes to target. As others stated, communication helps.
  3. You're welcome. It was absolutely a true statement. Soloing through the hordes has been one of the best tools at my disposal to counter the idiocy of being in IT for 20+ years.
  4. Fine. Nor is the fact that the ITF is less fun for me now to the point I don't bother soloing it at all when it was my goto meditation time in game. Hopefully this mode of "fuck the soloists" won't become the modus operandi around here. Too bad rumblings I'm hearing point to exactly that. And I'll need vid of that tank run. 36 mins sounds a bit far fetched considering all the other posted times for such runs around here.
  5. This. Missing only adds challenge if it slows you down enough that you die. Otherwise, it's nothing more than a time consuming annoyance. Two very different things.
  6. Wow, solo with a tank in 36 mins without temps and insps? I'm sure we'd all love to know how you pulled that off.
  7. No. It's boring now because of all the missing. I'm in no more danger than I was before so there's no more challenge to it at all. Yes, it's a fix. Fixes have consequences. In this case, the consequence was something I enjoyed no longer being enjoyable. Exactly as stated in the OP.
  8. 8 character team running at +4/x1 should have the exact same spawn size/layout, barring normal randomness, as 1 player running at +4/x8.
  9. That's what she said? /see? I'm horrible at the RP stuff.
  10. My emp/nrg defender was recently rebuilt with max recharge in mind. Having the two RAs up 2/3 of the time is damn nice for soloing.
  11. Got this far in the thread before I hit something I had also never done.
  12. As stated elsewhere, the discussion on what armor set is best on the fun scale is a whole different discussion. I will always love the fire and forget nature of SR and its ability to allow me to slide through spawns.
  13. I am very corrected. /does math Ok, make that "Shield is the best armor set in the game" regardless of archetype. 🙂
  14. Oh yea... plus 87% DDR when double stacking AD. It's freakin sick. And then there's that 3 min pylon time when saturating AAO while using NrgMel.
  15. This statement appears to ignore the much higher HP given to the tank. I'm sitting on 3000+ with mine and all the extra regen it allows. Thanks to the tank AT IO, as Werner mentions, I'm often hard capped to S/L damage and close to it on Nrg/NegNrg/Fire/Cold while also being softcapped to all positions.
  16. I did the Werner Rules ITF with my shield/em tank. So far, the only thing that's taken her down was a +4 Aeon in the MLTF. Cuz he's a cheating cheater that cheats. AND I was following standard max diff/no insps/no temps/no deaths rules. Shield, as I've seen, is the BEST secondary for a tank.
  17. Stone Melee. Seriously. All the extra knock mitigation to go along with the controls from /dark as well as looking/feeling/sounding cool as hell. Yea, mine's a dark/sm tank, but it'll work for brutes, too.
  18. Did some more testing after discussions with @BillyMailman and seems that the old rule still stands. For best results with pylons, go assault radial when AT Dam Mod < 1. Definitely noticeable on the claws/sr brute. Side note 1: It gives me a warm fuzzy seeing this thread at 50 pages. Side note 2: I've been tasked to find the ultimate claws attack chain. I, of course, always wanted it to be a nice, cleanly slotted followup, focus, slash, repeat, but as things go, that's not how the game is geared now. I'll add it to the thread should I get it figured out. I've no doubt that gloom/moonbeam will be in play, sadly. Edit: And I just talked myself out of it. My claws/bio scrapper still sits around 1.5-1.75mins with the standard fu/focus/slash/repeat, so fark it! 🙂
  19. Why did I make such a silly comment and then contradict it in the same post? I'm gonna blame booze. Regardless,@Riverduskspeaks truly.
  20. There are no rules since many sets are hybrid. Also don't know why someone would go resist for dark blast when it provides tohit debuffs which stack well with defense. Super Reflexes is a Defense set but has scaling resists. Invulnerability is a Resist set but has scaling defense with invincibility. Rad is a Resist set but has healing and absorption. Fire is a Resist set with a heal and massive damage. Shield is a Defense set but provides solid resists as well. Willpower is the truest hybrid, going Resist for smashing and lethal and Defense for the other types. Ninjitsu is just SR with less DDR but with click heal and recovery powers. Dark is a Resist set but is full of controls and a massive heal. So, it's not really important what they're called, just know that the toughest armors out there rely on layered mitigation from not only Resists and Defense but also heals, debuffs and controls.
  21. This feels more misguided than intentional. No attacks. Pets in bodyguard mode. Spam secondary? All of my characters are built for scrapperlock. This is why I suck at blasters but it works well for everything else.
  22. I hear ya. At the same time, however, ANY conversion rate would be a buff. Just spot checking my mains: BZB Scrap - 1814 threads BZB Brute - 676 Main Sent - 805 Shield/Nrg Tank - 443 BZB Tank - 608 Main farmer - 2120 And that's after repeated dumps on Luna for insps to drop on the market. At this point, I'd be happy with any conversion rate at all.
  23. To be fair, I don't think I've run a single iTrial yet on HC. Maybe DD once with the SG. It was so easy to farm Heather's arc in DA for everything I needed that there never seemed to be a point. But I get what you're saying. Just kinda blows that the ONLY thing you can do with all those extra threads is buy insps that I don't bother using or craft more incarnate powers that I don't need. I'd be happy with a ridiculous conversion value, too. 1 emp = 20 threads? Ok, make it 200 threads to make an emp.
