I've never stopped being sad at just how bad Khels have always been. (I'll throw in the caveat of "while solo" to be nice.) And I mostly soloed both to 50 back when they were released. Oh, the tantrums I threw then...
-
Specifically to this, I never store recipes. Since I'm selling everything or storing good stuff from alts, I just buy what I need for new builds as I need it. It only cost me like 300 mil to fully kit out my last respec for my emp/nrg defender but again, that's fully due to having so much stuff already stored. For recipes you already have, craft and sell or just sell or craft and store for later use. You'll get more inf if you craft it first but you'll have to decide if it's worth your time to do so.

It's ONLY basic IOs that I keep around at lvl 35 and that's for quickly slotting into a build I've powerleveled to 32 so I can go out and get a feel for it. Edit: I do have some 50+5 basic IOs in the bin as well for slotting into finalized builds like end-red, rec-red, run, jump and fly. All the rest of my IOs are attuned so that it doesn't matter what lvl I slot them at, except for PvP and Purple IOs which should be +5ed instead. On the archetype IO front, I'll use a non-catalyzed set while leveling up and then unslot them during a respec for storage to be used by a new alt and slot a catalyzed version at 50. Granted, this method really only works because I have zero issues stripping and deleting alts if I decide they're never going to get maxed out.

Well, devs, my favorite TF is no longer fun to solo.

That's not what I meant earlier. There's a difference between catering to soloists and actively choosing to nerf them for the benefit of team play. That isn't what happened here, of course, this was just a fix after all. And as mentioned, a fix like any other change has consequences. But it does appear to be a mindset for future changes that I'm certainly not too keen on, especially if it's utilized for changes to existing content rather than ONLY being used for new content. -
I can't tell you the right way because I have no idea what you plan to do with yours but here's what I've done. Max number of bins in base. 1 each for Converters, Unslotters, Catalysts and Boosters. 5 bins for the high usage IOs (performance shifters, luck of the gamblers, numinas, etc. 1 each for PvP/HOs, Purples, Archetype, Winter and lvl 35 basics I don't store any crafting salvage anymore as I sell all white/yellow to the store in my base along with most recipes. I'll sell purples, pvps, orange crafting salvage and other known good recipes on the market for 111 inf each. All that said, when I was just restarting with Homecoming, I did spend more time crafting but it rapidly turned into what I've stated above because I'd rather spend my game time killin than craftin.

If only it were true, Doc. Last time I decided to broadcast and lead a team for an ITF, I specifically stated over and over that it was a max diff kill most run. Halfway through the first mission the whining that it was too hard and taking too long started. Two folks dropped. Others wanted the difficulty dropped. Too many folks don't read or understand or care what's being requested.
-
This should prove interesting. The fact that most folks will quit a TF as soon as they realize insps have been turned off or enemies have been buffed, makes me suspect that this new content won't be utilized much at all except by the hardcore and even then, if they realize there's no greater reward for the extra difficulty, they too will move on to other pastures. But I'm curious to watch it play out. At least for a time you'll have folks diving in to master it.

Same as with claws. (Referring to your wm/bio/mb time.) My wm/bio scrap is at 2 mins, no moonbeam in play. Chain is only Clobber, Jawbreaker, Shatter, repeat. Bet ageless would tighten that up some but wouldn't get me anywhere near 1.5 mins.

I need to revisit this. Matter of fact, doing so. -
Well, devs, my favorite TF is no longer fun to solo.

You're welcome. It was absolutely a true statement. Soloing through the hordes has been one of the best tools at my disposal to counter the idiocy of being in IT for 20+ years. -

Fine. Nor is the fact that the ITF is less fun for me now to the point I don't bother soloing it at all when it was my goto meditation time in game. Hopefully this mode of "fuck the soloists" won't become the modus operandi around here. Too bad rumblings I'm hearing point to exactly that. And I'll need vid of that tank run. 36 mins sounds a bit far fetched considering all the other posted times for such runs around here. -

This. Missing only adds challenge if it slows you down enough that you die. Otherwise, it's nothing more than a time consuming annoyance. Two very different things. -

Wow, solo with a tank in 36 mins without temps and insps? I'm sure we'd all love to know how you pulled that off. -

Bill Z Bubba replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in General Discussion
No. It's boring now because of all the missing. I'm in no more danger than I was before so there's no more challenge to it at all. Yes, it's a fix. Fixes have consequences. In this case, the consequence was something I enjoyed no longer being enjoyable. Exactly as stated in the OP. -

8 character team running at +4/x1 should have the exact same spawn size/layout, barring normal randomness, as 1 player running at +4/x8. -
That's what she said? /see? I'm horrible at the RP stuff.
-
My emp/nrg defender was recently rebuilt with max recharge in mind. Having the two RAs up 2/3 of the time is damn nice for soloing.
-
Got this far in the thread before I hit something I had also never done.
-
As stated elsewhere, the discussion on what armor set is best on the fun scale is a whole different discussion. I will always love the fire and forget nature of SR and its ability to allow me to slide through spawns.
-
I am very corrected. /does math Ok, make that "Shield is the best armor set in the game" regardless of archetype. 🙂
