That's why I buff HP and Regen along with DamRes. <.< >.> Shield is a superior set in the end. Shield Charge + more HP and more DamRes with *enough* DDR after doublestacking Active Defense make it so.

That's a nice build, @Mezegis You could dump that third slot in hasten and just +5 the 2 remaining basic rec-red IOs. I didn't go the Rune route with mine as I was more concerned with cranking up his HP and Regen. And as @Soverapoints out, Shockwave with a KB->KD proc is your friend. Without it, your AoE output, regardless of the glory that is Spin, will be hurting. Ran 5 AE clear alls the other day and neither the PLer nor the PLee received a single PvP or Purple drop. Hell, there was only 1 orange salvage between the 2 of them as well. I found that a bit odd.

My Shield/EM tank used darkest night during her Werner Rules ITF run. Served her well.

Such build heresy. 30somethin feels right for full T4. I also email transcendants around and hasten the process when possible. I remember incarnate advancement on live for soloists and it was friggin painful AF. I'm very thankful for the current speed.

This is the way. I've got a bio tank but I've found that in areas with defense debuffs and slows like the ITF it becomes rather brittle. But that's solo. On teams, so many buffs/debuffs are flying that its layered protection keeps it in a happy place and if things get really ugly, you can always slap it into defensive mode.

While true, you only need one of those to lead a squad of sidekicks to victory against +4s. They may faceplant during the run but they'll get a ton of XP for their troubles.

I have one of those at 50. Thinking back on her, she was always more enjoyable than the fire/time. Perhaps it's time for that lvl 50 respec and some incarnate work.

There's a reason Bill Z Bubba has never been seen without his cigar. Were I to do another Wolvie clone, I'd definitely go claws/wp since regen is still the worst scrapper secondary.

For way too many years now, my main claws/sr scrapper (and for a time brute... and yea, he works great as a tank, too, but the scrap/brute are still more fun) was the tip of the iceberg on fun/intense/joyous but lately a newcomer has crept up the chain and may one day top him: My earth/earth dominator, Terra from Teen Titans ripoff, named Gaea's Savagery. There's just so much right going on there. Awesome mitigation, solid damage and all the oh so glorious crunching sound fx flying all the time. She's just freakin brutal.

If only we could have that assault/armor archetype so I could make a thorn/bio Swamp Thing. Course, I'd also make a ton of others. Nrg/SR, Earth/*... earth assault/armor would be so freaking awesome.

For me it was the sounds and not the visuals. Some powers led to instant headaches. Oubliette_Red's thread above and the same methodology back before the snap saved many a character and my sanity.

More than likely because I attempt to play her as I do everything else. I don't use amps so I have to lean on clarion, I don't spam insps proactively because I'm used to armors/debuffs/controls managing incoming damage, I don't pull to thin out spawns because I hate wasting time like that... ugh. Ahh, well, I have her at 50 and T4ed. Doesn't mean I have to ever play her solo.

I still don't get it. I've had smarter folk than me rework my fire/time blaster's build and she still can't survive +4/x8 (hell, she couldn't survive +2/x8 PPD in DA earlier) where my fire/bio sent breezes right along. I find the stories of blaster superiority quite silly. I live, they die, sents are superior.

Friendly point of correction for other readers: Defense Debuff Resistance caps at 95% regardless of AT. All 4 ATs using SR can hit it. (Maybe 5, don't remember if Sents can get there, too.)

Welllll, technically... CSB time: I have a copy of ST#1 and had my hands on this HoS#92 but the friend that gave me the #1 said, "umm, no, I'm selling the HoS#92." Think he got 5k for it.

If you just want cruise control for a relaxing ride from 1 to 50+, my vote goes to claws/willpower. It's not the best at single target damage, it's not the best at aoe damage, it's not the best mitigation, but what it IS is amazingly balanced for the whole ride. Plenty of end, regen, damage resistance, defense and extra HP, a full attack chain with just claws from very early in the game and one of the best aoes in the game with Spin, also available very early. My mains may be claws/sr, but I have a claws/wp that I refuse to powerlevel and she only solos. I bring her out when it's time for pure scrapper-meditation.

This sounds so absolutely horrific that even *I* want one!
