  1. I have a few heavy FFXIOnline grinders at my job. When they come on for video meetings you can tell they haven't been getting enough sleep. So much so that my manager commented on it. They blame it on their dogs, kids and heavy noise out their windows. 😛 Only I and a few of their colleagues know the truth.
  2. I never . . . ever gathered when running my support ATs back in the day or currently. I just hit it as it's needed and the team is good to go. If you're in range fine if not, you get it next time. And no one complained if my buffs missed them even back in the early days of COH. Different playstyles I guess.
  3. As much as I've been crowing about FFXIVOnline this is VERY TRUE in that MMO. You basically CANNOT proceed solo in that game.
  4. Yeah I think folks (amidst their passion for the game) keep forgetting that we don't have a paid professional dev team. And that these COH Servers (including HC) are not quite, errrr, . . . commercial. I'll say that and leave it at that. 😛
  5. Standard content is standard. If you want challenge dial you difficulty up beyond standard and go to zones like night ward, and pick missions mobs that aren't just council. For those of us who are here for casual play we have standard content.
  6. No, there are guides on how to beat Hami. An 8 man team of skilled players could figure that out and extrapolate it down to 8. Which they did. Hamidon is actually a very simple encounter compared to other "raid" level type bosses in other games. He just isn't that complicated. Hell he's not that complicated when compared to iTrials and other content in this game.
  7. Should have said a 50 with IOs and full incarnate build. I think a majority of folks play various characters due to altitis. I don't think a majority of folks stick to one 50 they play all the time. (whether it has IOs or not). Even for the folks with 50s, they jump around on them. Ofcouse this is all a nice discussion, but would be nice if we had some stats. Maybe we do and we missed them.
  8. I honestly don't mind. If it's so easy I just drop join another team or form my own. Not seeing the issue here. Forming your own team of like minded individuals isn't difficult. Trying to get folks to play the way you personally want is.
  9. There are already plenty of guides in existence that can help nearly anyone figure out the builds and strategy to do this. This isn't some super sekritt achievement that no one can figure out. Just reads the hundreds of pages of guides already in existence on various AT and the Market forums.
  10. I generally think the number of power gamers are much higher here than on live. I think we we can safely say though that more people have 50s here then on live. Not sure if we can say if more folks focus on one character at a time though. I would bet the majority though are still folks who stick to SOs.
  11. Well as others have explained, it's just players knowing the ins and outs of the encounter and maximizing their builds. Every game has this. When the average 8 joes can do it then it's an issue. Until then /shrug.
  12. Would be interesting to see in a game of altitis how many actually do stick to one character at a time though. I don’t think the devs have shown stats on that.
  13. Constant change just for change is a problem when you have limited development resources. I would prefer the focus elsewhere after Page 6
  14. LOL Seriously though MOST of the changes HC has introduced have been pretty welcomed. (Notice I said MOST. Posting this caveat before someone says “Datk Melee would like a word”.)
  15. If I like the change (I suspsect I will based on what HC has been doing in past issues/pages) and it makes it through I'll play it. If not then I simply keep not playing it. Not sure what the issue is with expressing a contrary opinion about a set. lol /shrug.
  16. While interesting theory crafting, I don't see them making that sort of change this late in the game, even in a new difficulty option. It seems like it would be an insane amount of work. You're right that it could be useful for a future high level task force though.
  17. Actually I find Force Fields inherently unfun. That was before incarnates and before the MSR. So I stopped playing mine loooooong ago.
  18. I never said it would. What a weird ass out of left field assumption to make. But the devs have already said that they are reworking the set. Soooooo argument over? 😛
  19. Yeah even if I feel Destiny doesn't need any changes, this is a valid point. I'd prefer they make the other sets more valuable in situations like this. EDIT: With that said if there WAS a level limit made for incarnate powers, I would prefer if they excluded the MSR from it. (And possibly Hamidon).
  20. I . . . don't give a rats ass about it's effectiveness. If feels terrible to play. That was enough for me to shelve mine indefinitely. And I actually played it from 1-50. Painfully. I was waiting for when it would get fun to play. I am happy they are reworking the mechanic.
  21. I'd prefer the devs put in a no incarnate option for you so you can form teams that way. And incarnates are only 5 levels, they are NOT int he majority of task forces and missions.
  22. I pretty much find the CURRENT smog more useful also. /shrug
  23. A no incarnate powers setting would ONE of the difficulty options I would like to see them tackle. I'm fine with how Destiny and Judgement work.
  24. I meant end game content. If we suddenly get new incarnate content in issue 6, then I'd say they are doing both. Nice to have some new lower level content, but I've been done with lower levels for a while. Glad for everyone else though. /shrug. I was referring to the type of content we've been discussing they could make for higher level difficulties all thread long. Making radio missions harder . . . seems unnecessary, especially since folks will continue to skip the harder mobs.
