With IOs at dollar store prices, my routine on a new character is to have their entire IO build compliment sitting in trays before they even receive a single drop of XP.
Also, while I’m not much for hardcore badging, I do enjoy getting both the Ouroboros portal and Entrusted with the Secret at level 1, then proceed into the game.
The only Hamidon raid that I have been on since being back was during the stress test on Pineapple. That time slot is usually when Tanker Tuesday, Static teams and SG teams form up, so it’s never likely that I will bother with one until they instance it.
50 Water/WP/Leviathan here and my attack chain utilizes Whirlpool, Water Burst, Geyser and Bile Spray.
If I hadn’t chosen Leviathan, I would be using Steam Spray.
Just as a point of clarification: PvP Recipes now drop for all content. They are either on the rare or very rare drop table and have a 10-50 level range (which is extremely useful for procs).
With normal gameplay, pretty much every character will have received several in drops by the time they reach 50, especially if you use Windfall during long playtime runs.
Actually, I just did perform tanking activities on my Rad/Fire Brute in a Yin TF with access to Blazing Aura, Burn and Irradiated Ground. It’s not even close to being as bad in a team environment as it seems to be for the Farmers. I can’t stress enough that Taunt makes the difference.
Actually, one of my top 5 used characters is a Rad/Fire Brute that (while fully capable of farming if I wish), is designed for playing the actual game just like you mentioned. I can definitely see how it could be annoying, however, think of this as an opportunity to work on tanking skills in teams.
Keep trying it out and posting your results as they work on correcting it would be my advice.
Martial Arts on a Stalker is from the beginning when they tried to orient Stalkers into PvP single-target Kings. No AoE was common for the AT in those early days.
Level 50 MA/DA here.
Solo: higher difficulty, less mob saturation. The time to take down 8-man spawns isn’t worth it unless you like erasing enemies one at a time.
Teams: concentrate on high-value targets. The rest of the team clears the trash.
Let’s say that this is an option, however, it replaces one of the powers in the set. Which power should it replace?
Also, Captain Powerhouse has already mentioned that if changes were made to a set, then it would be made across all versions of the set, so Tankers and Stalkers have to be taken into account for this idea.
