Citadel is the one TF I actively avoid. The caves. The kill alls. The jumping around. The caves and lastly, the caves. I don’t even care about the stinking TF Commander accolade. It ain’t worth it, and it’s all because of Citadel!

My understanding is that this is now the formula for determining distances between mission doors…. TFs Quit + number of times begged for donations x posts complaining about PUGs = distance 🤭

What do you hate about Microtransactions?
Ghost replied to mechahamham's topic in General Discussion
Simple. They cost money. -
I’m thinking that some people are just not worthy. There is something so egregious in their past, that the gods looked down upon them and said “No Mids for you!!!”
-
I run a dual PB and love playing her. No I don’t change back and forth to take “advantage” of any tricks. I built her to be a utility toon. Staying mostly in human form and playing within melee range. If the team is light on heals, and needs them - that’s what I focus on. If the team suddenly needs aggro management, I can switch over to dwarf. Otherwise I stand behind whoever is tanking and just hit away! She is durable and a lot of fun to play - which is all I need.
-
I don’t get this at all. Would I prefer to redo one slot or power choice? Of course! Do I avoid respects like the plague? Hell no! I can knock one out completely on a 50 in under 10 minutes (maybe even 5). They don’t take long, and are not complicated - so why so much fear?
-
Sure it does. What it does is allow you to place your slots however you choose - even 6 on your final pick. What it doesn’t do is add 3 additional slots to help the players creep towards the point of being so OP that they then complain about the game being so easy that it’s boring.
-
Not sure how to explain it. Its not about feeling underwhelming, it’s like when a movie just don’t click for you. It doesn’t hold your attention, and you end up either turning it off or wishing it would end. You may not be able to explain why, but for whatever reason, you just weren’t enjoying it. Ive had that happen with a couple toons. About halfway through the DFB I’ll feel like “damn I made a mistake and just want this to end”
-
It’s not that the sets didn’t feel like they could be powerful. They just felt ho-hum. Like I wasn’t excited about playing them. Usually when I make a new toon, the whole time I’m running through DFB I’m thinking to myself “This is it! This is now my favorite toon! I’ll play this one more than any other!!” The ones I’ve given up on didn’t give me those feelings/thoughts, and I’d actually feel bored during the run. Its rare. Like I said it’s only happened a couple times - but it has happened. Usually I don’t decide until after I’ve run both Posi TF and hit around lvl 21-22

I’m thinking GiantMonster_GooglyMoogly

I wanna see it remade with Snarky. Instead of him shooting someone and getting demoted, they could have him in the middle of a sting operation that goes bad, declare “that’s it, I’m out” before just walking out. Which would then lead to his demotion.
-
Damn, Snarky’s Machine is a great name!

Who is saying a defender became tougher than the tank? My point is that currently, to successfully play a true squishy (not one built to be a “pretend” tank) it is very beneficial to have a melee toon on the team to occupy the aggro. If you take away the squishiness, haven’t you just taken away the usefulness of the melee toons? The EXACT same thing you mentioned happening to defenders when they buffed melee. Again, this sounds like a great benefit for soloing and counterproductive for teaming, which is great if that’s your objective. I prefer teaming, for more than just watching 8 players all go off in their own direction, doing their own thing. Me personally, I don’t want this game to get to a point where you can just blindly pick any AT, and then just go through missions/TFs blindly mashing buttons with absolutely no thought for strategy. I know others feel differently.
-
I’ve had a couple toons that while in the middle of a DFB, I realize that I just don’t like the set. Then it’s just a matter of hurry up and finish so I can delete. The vast majority of the time though, I’ll run through 2DFBs and both Posi’s before deciding.
-
That’s understandable, but when they say “we are still opening. Thanks for coming” - that’s it. I can understand the frustration from that, and at no time in all these discussions did I fault you or discount you for that frustration. I’m simply trying to say - we know it’s coming out. We know you don’t like it, so don’t play it. You still want to suggest changes, cool. Do it respectfully and you’ll find that people are more Inclined to agree with you. Otherwise it’s “Why are you even playing something you don’t like?”
-
My “don’t like it, don’t play it” comment is because I don’t understand your mindset. Why would you play something you don’t like, or are not happy with? A set that doesn’t meet your expectations? If you don’t like a particular restaurant, you don’t eat there again. I doubt you stand out front and demand they make the changes you want….so why do it with a set you simply don’t have to play? Seems like a much easier solution then getting upset and going on a rant - which most people know never ever accomplishes anything.
-
A bug? That should be pointed out. Never said it shouldn’t. A potential bug? That means it may or may not be an issue. It should be brought up, but that’s it. If they decide it’s a non-issue, that’s on them. Not performing the way you like? That’s a YOU issue which can easily be resolved by…..not playing the AT.

A Minor and Potentially Silly Request
Ghost replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Sorry Bill Z, but this is pretty damn funny to me BTW, welcome back to the forums. You were missed! -
I see where Glacier is coming from. It starts with, “allow me to purchase anytime” and then COULD slowly morph into “well, we can purchase those whoever we want, so why can’t we purchase these? Not fair!!!” Remember, a certain percentage of the player base always wants more, more, more - and those requests are usually justified with “that gets it, so this should too”.
-
When @Snarky ragequits a team, count your blessings and just keep going. No TF has to be full in order to complete.
-
So simple, and yet so difficult for some.
-
You’re talking to someone that enjoys playing squishies as squishies. I do not play defenders and brag about my tanking ability. I play defenders knowing that whatever team I am on will stay alive, not worry about needing anything, and will succeed. I enjoy the challenge of knowing that one wrong move will result in a face plant. So no. What you’re proposing does not sound like fun to me. If I understood you correctly, part of your argument is that the support class is not really needed anymore due to the increases in survivability of the other classes. So, Wouldnt increasing the survivability of the classes that historically relied on the melee classes to manage aggro, suddenly make those classes (tanks/brutes) become less necessary? Wouldn’t that ultimately end the need to team up? Or, is that the ultimate goal here?
-
This right here! I sometimes get the feeling that some players feel they must approve of everything. NO. If you like and enjoy 80% of the power sets, play those 80% instead of complaining about the 20% you don’t like. That particularly set or power is not for you.
-
If half the players don’t like something, and half do - which group do they listen to, without being accused of not listening? 🤔
