I love my fire psi. It probably does more damage than some of my brutes.

ATO procs: Bring non Scrapper/Stalkers up to par
Infinitum replied to Indystruck's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I think the ATO benefits do what they are supposed to do, from the ones I have experienced anyway. The reason the stalker scrapper ones seem better is because damage is king and most noticeable. That in and of itself doesn't mean the other ones aren't working as intended, just aren't as noticeable with the games current corralled focus. -
Cryo tanks? haha yeah they won't hurt a rad. You also have a crap ton of regen, debuff and it just won't matter that it's the one sliver of cold damage you might face.
-
They were the pinnacle pre incarnate, now it's magisterium, minds of mayhem etc. I know its in jest but basically in the personal mission, Marcus Cole destroys all of Arachnos patrons, lessers, Lord recluse and all.... Solo.... Without taking damage. That sets the stage for his power level in magisterium.

ATO procs: Bring non Scrapper/Stalkers up to par
Infinitum replied to Indystruck's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
You have 3 of them out which is easy to do, it effectively maintains an extra level of lockdown to the mobs. 2 mag pulsing stun that stacks with a 15 ft radius, multiplied by 3-5 thats a useful power for a controller IMO because it controls. -
ATO procs: Bring non Scrapper/Stalkers up to par
Infinitum replied to Indystruck's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Talking about the energy font? I dunno I kinda like it, put that set in a power like chain fences and I've had 5 of them out at once. -
Rad armor can res cap everything but cold, which is the most rare damage type in the game. So I would say Rad Armor. Also Shield defense has better defense than an invul. You can incarnate soft cap positional defenses and still have high resistances too.
-
Posi 1 and 2 are hardly measuring sticks. Secondly ill drag any squishy faster than they can go in posi 1 and 2 the only ones that die are the ones that either dont stay back if we are stealthing it or the ones that dont stay close.
-
No, not really tanks also do dmg, thanks to homecoming tanks do really good damage now. Absorbing the alpha, and hitting AOE, you have the mobs attention then the team unloads with minimal collateral damage. Its smooth its fast its efficient. What you are describing while still useful, is more of a relic and the last ties CoH has to the Trinity which isnt really the most efficient way to play it. Like i said though it still works, and if its fun for you and your team do it. But to say people laugh at tanks or call them pointless or pathetic for not taking taunt is pure fiction and more disconnected from how tanking really is in CoH.
-
Pure fiction. Taunt isn't a bad thing to have but if you are a really good tank you absolutely dont need it. Usually if your team is fluid it wont matter, cause anything that might get peeled off will be held, debuffed or dead in a matter of moments anyway. I move in fast and AOE then the team is shortly behind and alphas after I have absorbed the mob alpha and I move on once its in the process of being mopped up.

Something different I have noticed recently is a wicked end drain when tankimg recluse, but mine was strong enough to survive the toggle drop, maintain agro and retoggle once i clicked ageless. Still something I havent seen before and,I have went toe to toe with him with elec armor brutes with no insp use, shield tanks, invul tanks, and rad tanks. This was with a shield that had facef him before with no issue. And when I say end drain I mean, like it wad 3/4 and I looked away for a sec and I heard toggles dropping. Never had any issues tanking him toe to toe solo, no insp use before this incident though.

Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?
Infinitum replied to Abysmalyxia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
For instance change up presence and put in a siphon speed like power that maybe not as good as hasten but also causes fear or some other effect. Or something that would compete with hasten to potentially open up other pools. -
Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?
Infinitum replied to Abysmalyxia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Its not so much a sacred cow as it is just a cow, thats right beside a mutated cow that deficates out of its mouth and causes babys to cry every time it gets near because its so ugly. I guess some people would pick the mutated cow, but not me i dont want to make the babies cry. -

Just funny how you said it, I do agree. -
Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?
Infinitum replied to Abysmalyxia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Negative to all the above, it's just a power that avail, that's good, that's better than the other choices. So why not take it? Medicine and Presence are hot garbage. There is no reason to take either outside of theme. Every build I have is almost identical in the pool power choices. Not because I have to, but because of theme, and function. 1.combat jumping - on every toon I have - more utility than hasten IMO I always budget it in. 2. Fly - I like to fly. Have to have it. 3. Hover - use it on squishes as hovering death zappers - on tanks/melee rarely use it and only pick it to get to afterburner. 4. Tough and weave - 100 percent pick on all my melee ATs - I think 1 squishy because it has native stealth. 5. Stealth. Have it on majority of squishes, except my storm because it has steamy mist. 6. Maneuvers, assault, tactics - only have this on my MM and Farmer. 7. Hasten, because what else is left? lol. Why not get it? It's not because hasten is good, I don need the extra recharge on 90% of the 30 lvl 50 decked out Incarnates i have - my ill rad I need it maybe my farmer and blaster too? I dunno but there is really nothing else worth picking either way. Why would I pick medicine when either I know I'm not goimg to die or I have better powers either way. Same with presence, it will either slow me down, burn endurance a better power could use or a primary power already does it better. Super speed, super jump, teleportation, sorcery? Nah don't like those and it's more theme over utility anyway. So in my shoes what else would you pick over hasten? That's not hastens fault for being good, just for being all that's left. -
Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?

Well if you read through my responses I answered this, and even agree with your difficulty mode suggestion - minus any strategic nerfs on IOs or hasten or skeletal features of the game Like those. -
Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?
Infinitum replied to Abysmalyxia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
NONE of that is necessary for a power like hasten. Its wasted energy for something that is ultimately not breaking the game. Its a power choice, just like all the IOs you slot, just like what powers you choose in primary and secondary. You are talking about redesigning parts of the game to make the current content of the game that has been rehashed to death just to make it more challenging. I guarantee you nobody will play that for long because its already avoided content - not because its easy but because most of us have played it 10+ times over and over again. Why would we want to try to grind something we are already bored with? It should also be a designers imperative to introduce new challenges and content otherwise we will be having the same discussion 6 months from now when the same old content has grown more stale because its too grindy now. Why would you take a step back? the correct form would be to take a step forward with new content so all these tricked out builds have real threats other than the 10% or so content that can currently test them. and Yes it does exist. A step forward would be a difficulty setting that allows for exotic damage like EBs and located damage thats unresistable like in the APex TF only this difficulty setting is optional and could transpose across all current content. That would give it all a different look and challenge the OP builds better. yeah i see what you are saying, thats honestly hard for me to answer because i have only ran normal content 1-50 on my first 2 characters back on homecoming. LIke i said I did it so much on live thats honestly kind of stale and i like the Post 50 content much better. there just needs to be more of it. And maybe more leveling 1-50 content also. theres only so many times you can beat the council in the same office building, or CoT in the colonoscopy caves. -
Yeeeesssss. Yes

Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?
Infinitum replied to Abysmalyxia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
What attitude? You are only getting pushback becausr you are attributing something negative to what most people enjoy. And to one of your previous posts, is it far fetched for homecoming to create new content? No not any more far fetched than keeping the game popular after rewriting it from the ground up so old challenges we have done hundreds of times are harder. That won't be a good selling point. That's what you do if you want to kill homecoming. -

Man I channeled my inner max hedrom up there. lol. Don't know what happened with the triple post. Yeah maneuvers usually loses out because stealth + celerity usually gives you a slight advantage. -
Hasten: Make it Inherent, or get rid of it?
Infinitum replied to Abysmalyxia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I would disagree with that one. Stealth IMO and in practice is just as useful as hasten if not more so because of the stealth and defense aspect to it. I have it on just about all my squishy builds. I think the pool powers if anything should be left alone from the standpoint of the good ones. But medicine, presence etc should be buffed somehow to give an alternative to the good ones to have more hard choices to make. Medicine is largely useless because other primary secondary or incarnate powers already do it better. -
