  1. Unfortunately, while Elec melee is one of the coolest looking and feeling sets on any AT its IMO a but underpowered on tanks, and a bit slow feeling. The synergy just isn't there for that AT. There's only 3 things you can do to try to alleviate this. 1. Incarnate: get Musclature alpha and assault hybrid to boost damage. And ageless radial to boost recharge. 2. Get every + damage set bonus and every damage proc you can get your hands on. 3. Get every +recharge set bonus and proc you can get your hands on. At the end of the day if your survival is still good and, your main job as a tank is to survive and keep the team alive so consider it a job well done either way if you have done that. As far as Elec melee and synergy goes, try a ElecM/shield stalker. Trust me on that one. It's tons of fun.
  2. Electric Armor on a brute is awesome. Electric melee is meh. IMO where electric melee really shines is on stalkers. The damage is just more impressive. And stalker has a good single target element with AS. I've tried electric melee on tanks, and brutes and almost had written it off - don't get me drone visually its cool and pretty - untill I rolled a Elec/ Shield stalker. That pair belongs together and in that AT IMO. Elec armor is harder on stalkers though because being capped at 75 and no native defenses its letting a lot get through. On a brute Elec Amor can cap everything but toxic and neg energy at 90. Elec armor has a great synergy with the brute AT.
  3. I second this, I recently rolled an elec shield stalker and its amazing. I open with lightning rod and shield charge which doesnt break hide, then AS a lot of the times at thos point I have gotten then As Mark proc to fire and have 2 build ups running so I am viciously slaughtering the remaining mob as they stand there borderline confused as to what to do about me. Some stronger bosses or elite bosses figure it out at this point and go one on one with me but at that point it's too late and I'm usually dragging hectors lifeless body around the gates of troy a few moments later. Yeah it's so fun. lol. Its scrapper lock and extreme hide and seek rolled into 1.

  6. Not for sets like shield with +dmg like against all odds. Its not superior.
  7. Nah, not for shipping it with ST damage lower because no team or AT has any issue taking out minions or lieutenants through aoe. As is I have no issues with how tanks perform but I definately don't want to go backwards in any way. If that's the case I would say leave it as is. I think as is it would hurt the AT more than help it. If the goal is to increase benefit of having tanks on teams and tank damage as a whole.
  8. Only one suggestion. Pick anything to replace proton sweep. Cause it's horrible. Long animation, paper thin cone, underwhelming damage. I would swap combat jumping in earlier near its spot by some strategic re arranging, and mule the reactive defenses proc in it so you have flat res then scaling early on in an equally useful power. Then swap something better in its place - I'm anti T9 usually - but I would pick the t9 instead of proton sweep to free up a resistance proc slot by muling it in the t9 and freeing up the slots you currently have in proton sweep. On paper proton sweep looks good, but in practice there are better ways to go. Maybe by getting the 6 slotted Gaussian defensive bonus in fusion.
  9. its weak on smashing lethal until you go all out on set bonuses which really hurts more than even the endurance issues. Once you get smashing lethal to 80+ % you should be pretty sturdy at any given situation. Energy resistance starts strong from the ground up on elec, but just about everything has smashing lethal components so thats first priority to get those bonuses up in the armors or attacks so you can survive better. Once you get to end game a build like mine is pretty much Godmode aside from a few weird situations.
  10. and yeah you wont need power surge if you spec out solidly. the only thing you will have to worry about with this build is Toxic and even then if you are on your toes, isnt really a huge worry, but it can slip up on you. lol if you want i can AE you past the rough stages, Im on victory if you are interested look me up. However those early stages do give you an appreciation later on how to survive worst case scenarios with that set.
  11. Its rough until you get to power sink then you wont have any other worries, once you get slotted out completely you can pretty much drop power sink at that point. I posted my build for reference, and its literally one of the strongest i have ever played, and my first Uber build on homecoming. I mained it from June to august roughly.   12. When you enter and go forward south to north it shows you on the map moving east to west. Anyway to easily reposition or rather reorient the map?
  13. It doesn't have to be an exact variant of the dagger. It would be nice to do it without the dagger. It would still stack so still useful. The more the merrier.
  14. You are completely missing the point. -regen will kill an av. Bruising will not Without envenomated daggers on my character the other night - a tank - we could not have taken down +5 mary macomber in round 10.
  15. What's intriguing is ANY AT can purchase envenomated daggers. Envenomated daggers freaking work. They work even better if multiple are using it on a hard target. So if this is purchasable and easily attained why couldn't tank t1 mimic a p2w power?
  16. I have a thought. As tankers we've been good boys and girls. It's Christmas time. Give t1 stackable -res AND -regen Increase damage cap to 600 Increase base damage to 1.0 Then also give us fury. Why not, people are going to complain either way it seems. just do all that then RUUUUN don't even put a patch notes out. lol. Never look back. We will make you proud in game I promise.

  19. I've played a tank probable 95 percent exclusively since the beginning of September, I played brutes probably 99% exclusively prior to that since late June. I play and slot my brutes to tank not to do damage probably extremely so. My attack chain usually consists of 4 attacks from the primary, a build up and a judgement. That likely makes them crappy brutes but great tanks with slightly better damage than normal tanks. They are 90% unkillable - just a few rare fringe things. But, having played an uber tank the last 3 month's I would say it's 99% unkillable - incarnate trial get out of the way or you are dead attacks. Really decent damage not too far behind the brutes. So I would say what the clamor is for is already here. I could make my brutes damage monsters but they won't be as unkillable and I don't want that. It required hard choices to get them to that level of survivability and they still aren't as good as my tank. Most people probably wouldn't notice, but I do. My tank on the other hand, was easy to get to unkillable levels, I've got 2 destinys, 2 alphas, and 3 hybrids. I can spec for damage - musculature, assault, rebirth, I can spec for resistance - resilient, ageless, melee core, or I can spec for defense - resilient, ageless, support radial. The damage spec puts it still above the brutes in survivability, but only slightly behind them in damage, but my point is there are options and ways to get more damage - not to brute levels. But on the same token it may appear they can get to the same survivability levels tanks do, but ultimately they aren't quite there. And that's your parity. Moreover I have never had any issues teaming or taking down the hardest targets any in the last three months. Never been kicked off a team because I wasn't a tank. Even though there are some tanks out there that really don't get it.
  20. This, we keep going backwards now. Thats why more people need to test real numbers. So the data is out there for Powerhouse can see it and make accurate determinations on what to do. I love the - regen idea, yeah you wont need it on anything but Avs or hard targets but seriously do you really need -res on minions and bosses either? If we are honest not really. But -regen on t1 that stacks. Whoa. Tanks could be an Avs worst nightmare which combined with the increased aoe would be conceptually what I would expect a tank to do. Everything else can take down an AV through some mechanic or bonus why not use -regen for a tank without overdoing damage mods so they can do it to... That way. The tank way. It wouldn't step on any other ATs toes eitjer really but would definately give tanks a niche team and solo.
  21. Yeah again, no they won't, it will bring parity between tanks and brutes. And no, nerfing IOs will grenade the majority of builds out there in the game in some fashion. You want to kill the game - do that and destroy everyones favorite build. You will have a herd of EM like departures on your hands. This isnt where any problem is and not what this thread is about either way. I'm not sure there is a problem in fact, but if there has to be any changes we dont want to changes to tanks to go backwards any, which is almost where this iteration is borderlining on. Killing minions faster is cool with the increased aoes but losing hard target takedown power altogether or decreasing it isnt a good change IMO I havent had time to test to see if thatd indeed the case or not but its leaning that way.
  22. Wasn't referring to CR or AAO there but the t1 as the combo builder in my set. Combo level 1 2 and 3. AAO would actually affect the combo levels too.
  23. Use bruising kinda like envenomated daggers works. I like the -regen idea. If you are beating someone to a pulp their health is not going to stay static.
