  1. I think better filters would be an excellent addition to AE
  2. Exactly, there is a cost for everything. Also I think it's important to note that while your comparison helps make your point, we're still talking about a finite good(2020 Python) vs something that is an infinite good(digital items). So your choice is to wait or pay more than you want, people in this game have a myriad of options. Yes, that's not something any of us have the actual data to prove, and you know it. Also the point was about saving time and still getting items for a reasonable price, again you know that. Context is a thing. Do I need to make a quote for you?
  3. These inflated prices are all in your head. If you're spending too much time acquiring the enhancements you need, that is 100% your fault. Nobody else has any responsibility in that. Let's prove it. Send me your next build and let's see who can do it faster and cheaper. edit: If you're right in this challenge, I'll combine what both spent, triple it, and send you that amount of influence.
  4. Which is exactly what flippers do as well. Also save people time, which is a cost that isn't as easy to measure.
  5. I guess prices are up if you ignore the extra supply for Brute ATOs. And ignore the massive amount of extra influence farmers generate.
  6. I love, really love, this idea. But this sounds like it would be better as a new powerset. One I would 100% be on board for. In fact, this idea has just made my top five list of things I want in CoH.
  7. First, not enough people use FIFO in day to day life. Love it. I have no evidence to support this, but I suspect it is random if the bids are the same solely based on a few random observations I've seen from time to time. Also I tend to bid on converters 500-1000 at a time and the stacks don't always fill in order, or even a complete stack before moving to another one. But I'm not sure if that is because it's the same character/account doing that.
  8. Also, I once noticed some odd behavior on the market and mentioned it in a thread. That odd behavior turned out to be Yoko trying to flood rare salvage with supply to bring prices back down, which worked for a bit too. So your comment here is ignorant, blatantly untrue, and uncalled for.
  9. So if those 100 bids weren't there, "artificially" creating demand, would as many people bother supplying said item at all?
  10. Look, you're allowed to be wrong. What flippers do is normalize the price. The floor is higher, but the ceiling is lower. To make you extra wrong you're comparing real real items with limited supply to digital goods with infinite supply.
  11. Gonna circle back around and throw my amazing idea of a UFC supergroup out there. The United Flippers Coalition should be a thing. Someone should lead it so I can be a follower. I think a good entrance fee is everyone that joins has to give away 5 billion influence spread between at least five players, then delete five billion influence. Why? Because we can afford it.
  12. That's what I was doing a few weeks ago! But not all the same enhancement. I did however buy almost 500 miracle enhancements for 2,000,069 each and converted them all to Miracle +Recovery just to see how much I'd make. The answer, not much without the display bug.
  13. That 10% cut for hundreds and hundreds of billions of influence that we move, for fun, takes that directly out of circulation. As does the hundreds of billions we have stored on our accounts. That is literally hundreds of billions, likely trillions, of influence no longer in the market. Which directly fights inflation and therefore helps keep prices lower. If I could get enough to agree, I'd love to demonstrate by us all spending all of our influence as fast as we can. You think prices are artificially high now, see what happens if we start spending it.
  14. We also post and craft and sell in mass and hoard influence. All which takes currency out of circulation, which directly slows down inflation. Perhaps this is coincidence, but when I stopped flooding the market with Luck of the Gambler +Recharge for two months, the price went from 6.5 million to 8.5 million. I was converting 20-100 everyday. Is that price increase just because I took a break? Of course not, but I had some sort of impact, and I'm not the only one doing it.
  15. Semantics. The point is respec is a shit mechanic in this game. If people are going to need/want to do it in mass because of a change, regardless of the reason of the change, it will go over better if fixing their characters is a smooth and straightforward process. I'm not even opposed to the nerf, I'll deal with whatever nerfs are thrown out. But adjusting to nerfs should be as painless as possible. Reworking builds in Mid's, perhaps after researching adjustments to make. Buying more enhancements, perhaps needing to boost them, doing the actual respec, reslotting, fixing power trays. This could be a thing people need/want to do for zero, one, or twenty characters. That's a lot of time investment on top of those characters being immediately weaker(to varying degrees). All in all, sounds like a terrible player experience from beginning to end.
  16. It will be even tougher to sell such a significant change when adjusting a ton of characters is such a terrible player experience. The respec system is terrible and it is a bad player experience, The change people are asking for would go across more than just one powerset, one AT, it would impact countless characters to varying degrees. A big nerf, which is what this would be, would go over much better if adjusting characters was made easier and more pleasant.
  17. Any massive change to procs would mean I'd be doing several respecs and would be quite a time investment. Personally, I am 100% opposed to a change that impactful until we get a respec system that doesn't suck. A better respec system should absolutely be a higher priority than fixing procs. It needs to come first.
  18. L.D. Bell?
  19. Gonna throw my hat in and say they were wrong too, at least about Dark Melee. I've played countless hours on my DM/SR, and it's awesome. I haven't used DA yet, but now I want to.
  20. I love it!
  21. Rumors vs Rumours GO
  22. You're where I got the Time Defender idea from, either by commenting directly in the thread I started many moons ago, or somebody pointing me to one of your threads. And while I didn't stick with that particular character, it was a tremendous influence in how I've slotted my Dark/Earth Dominator, which has become my favorite character here in HC. Seismic Smash does stupid damage with procs. So I thank you for that! So I totally understand the disappointment, I would also be bummed if something similar were to happen to my main. Hell, I've cut way back on playing Division 2 for similar balance/nerf changes despite buying the expansion two weeks ago. I don't know how many people such a change for Time will impact, but those that it does, it will be incredibly significant. When leveling my Time/Sonic I took a break from PL'ing it to join a few random teams. One team I joined kept getting their ass kicked by Silver Mantis, somewhere in the high 30s I think was the level range. I joined, and we were able to take her down. Not specifically because of me as a player, but because that particular character could provide enough defense to get them through her defense debuffs. Granted this team was playing a little above their head, but I think that's probably more common than a lot of us that play end game builds realize. They were fucking pumped that we defeated her. I was too, she's basically my arch nemesis as she likes to kick my ass when I'm soloing AVs, then mock me like I'm trash. But this particular team had no idea why she kept beating them and I'm not sure they knew exactly why the Time defender made the encounter easy. That particular powerset turned a frustrating experience into a good one for them. And I believe such moments have a massive amount of value, even if it's not properly balanced.
  23. That's because the coolest Europeans are busy dominating the NBA. Being a Dallas Mavericks fan I might be more than a little biased in my love for Europeans.
  24. I think Clockwork have negative KB protection or something like that, so they are unique in their interaction.
  25. If you're more comfortable on another server, then it's the right call. An alternative appropriate response to such people would have been for you to literally tell them to f*** off, but without censoring yourself. I understand not wanting to do such a thing, but it would have been justified.
