  1. This is a bug that I investigated and commented on years ago.
  2. We must not live terribly far from one another. I've been to the Fugitive train crash site and have parked near the base of Cheoah Dam a couple of times to go hiking into Joyce Kilmer. Incidentally my local theater is showing The Fugitive in a month or so. While I haven't knowingly visited any sites from Last of the Mohicans, I saw it a few weeks ago at that same theater. I've hiked to the top of Cold Mountain (somewhere in my archives I have a photo of the geodetic monument on top), but never seen the film. I visited a few of the filming locations for Ronin in France. In particular, a friend and I searched around Montmatre for the long set of steps from the beginning/end of the film. On a separate trip my wife and I drove up to La Turbie where the main ambush started, we stayed in Nice where the ambush ended, and we visited Arles where the shootout in the old Colosseum took place. I live where Bull Durham was filmed so I see those filming locations often. I've been to a couple of throwback Durham Bulls games at their old ballpark (called the DAP) where many scenes were filmed, and Mitch's Tavern over in Raleigh is across the street from my alma mater (NC State) and I've had a beer or three, and quite a few lunches, there. My wife visited Annie's house on a home tour a few weeks ago, and apparently Annie's clawfoot tub is still there. Parts of Days of Thunder were filmed at North Wilkesboro speedway near where I grew up. They also filmed part of an episode of Top Gear (with May/Hammond/Clarkson) there. I've been to Wuppertal, Germany where The Princess and the Warrior was filmed. The same friend that searched for the Ronin steps was with me there, and we rode the suspension monorail (Schwebebahn) that features several times in the film. I am probably forgetting a few but I'll edit them in if they come to mind.
  3. 100% wholeheartedly agree, and for reasons that go well beyond the threads mentioned in the OP.
  4. Crey's Folly, coords 6220, 44, -680 Found some building bits floating above the base they should be resting on.
  5. If anyone wants a peek at how the sausage is made, here's the in-progress Kallisti map for the next update: You'll notice most of the badge/plaque markers are checkerboards, which is how I fine tune their locations to be as accurate as I can get them. Disregard the vertical red lines, those are the tracks I fly when surveying the zone to create the critter annotation. Speaking of which, I have an automated process that helps generate the critter annotation but an important link in that chain may not be available to me for this update. As a result, I may have to do part of the annotation via a slower method. Depending on when the page releases, I may need to either delay the map a bit, or release a non-annotated version first so that you'll have at least a partial map while I complete the annotation. EDIT: And based on the latest patch notes, it looks like I have a few new day job markers to locate.
  6. I like this idea a great deal. I often wholesale delete my fog of war files because having pristine maps helps immensely when I am testing map stuff. This would save me a good deal of logging in and out to do that.
  7. It is in Abandoned Sewer Network: /thumbtack 464.1 -568.1 -1558.0 The wiki says the plaque is absent in the Sewer Network (not Abandoned Sewer) because the room layout is the same and people often forget or get confused as to which sewer network they are in.
  8. The only thing that might not be in there is Cupid's Crush and that is only if the devs haven't updated the freebies menu to the latest version. Check the version number at the bottom of the main freebies popmenu as well. It should be either 20240218.01 or 20250222.01 and ideally it should be the latter (which includes Cupid's Crush). If your version is anything else then you've probably got an old or custom version saved locally on your machine that you will need to delete. If that is the case, go to: <CoH Install Folder>\data\texts\English\menus and if you see freebiesmenu.mnu, delete it.
  9. Hey Michiyo, I am trying to help someone register on the City Modder site so they can post their mod but it looks like registration is disabled. Is it likely to reopen any time soon?
  10. Of the two options that lemming linked, I would recommend the former (popmenu) much more than the latter for reconciling earned badges. The easiest way of spotting missing badges is probably to review the sequential listings for each category in the popmenu. Trying to reconcile against that master dataset is likely to create more problems than it solves, as that isn't really its intent.
  11. If you mean the Badger website, then the four are: Flames of Prometheus Bug Hunter Praetoria's Son/Praetoria's Daughter Temporal Warrior There is one login badge, named one of: V.I.P./Destined One/Praetoria's Son/Praetoria's Daughter/Temporal Warrior depending on your origin upon login (primal earth, praetorian earth, or PVP). In-game, this only counts as one badge but internal to the game's code, it's actually three mutually exclusive badges. On Badger it was split into those three badges for reasons that I have long since forgotten, and for the sake of keeping this answer as simple as possible, I won't go further into those weeds.
  12. Yep, it looks like you have vidiotmaps installed via the modding tool so just follow the link I gave to the vidiotmaps thread and follow the old installation uninstall instructions there. Otherwise that old vidiotmap install is going to overwrite the updated one from the modding tool. If you really want to verify that you have the updated vidiotmaps, go to <CoH Home Directory>/assets/mods and look for hc_vidiotmaps.pigg.
  13. Yes, these maps technically conflict with vidiotmaps and installing via the City Modder tool will trigger the message about the conflict. That's normal and expected. With these gift maps installed, they will supersede vidiotmaps in the zones listed in the Available Zones section of the top post. There is no way to avoid that conflict, but once you have completed time capsule collection, simply uninstall the gift map mod and vidiotmaps will function again normally in those zones. This depends on how you have installed vidiotmaps. If you installed vidiotmaps via the City Modder tool, or have installed them manually via the .pigg file, I would NOT move those folders back. In fact, if either of those cases are true, I'll direct you to the Removing/Deleting Old Installations section of the vidiotmaps thread. Follow those instructions to remove those folders, as they are not needed. If you installed vidiotmaps using the old method of the data folder, then you can move those folders back, but if that is the case then you are likely using an outdated version of vidiotmaps because I abandoned that install method years (and several updates) ago. In that case I'd recommend installing the latest vidiotmaps via the City Modder tool and following the vidiotmap old installation removal instructions I linked above.
  14. Well I didn't quote or ping you, so I wouldn't have expected you to receive a notification. I think this spawn point is buggy or intermittent. I checked a couple of times and it wasn't there (and I was alone on the map), but I checked this morning and it was there. Nutation also reported above finding a gift there. All in all I'd say if you go there and don't find one, just keep going to the next available and check back later.
  15. Bump for the anniversary event. The time capsules spawn in the same locations as the winter gifts so this mod can be used to easily find the time capsules. If you spot time capsules in zones that doesn't have a corresponding gift map, please let me know.
  16. The top post has been updated to include the new 2025 anniversary event badges. If anyone notices any issues with the data please let me know.
  17. Updated (in top post) to add the new 2025 anniversary event badges. Full update log is in the top post. Please let me know if you notice any issues.
  18. This probably excludes me then, as I generally am just getting on around 9pm eastern. Otherwise this is right up my alley. The static team I was in a while back did a series of random themes, and I think that made things more fun and helped make a cohesive group.
  19. Sounds fun to me, and not entirely dissimilar to the last CoH static group I participated in several years ago. It'll probably come down to meet times for me, as I tend to play late evenings eastern time.
  20. The closest I can get is this wiki page I put together: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Costume_Color_Schemes In the Available Colors section is a re-creation of the color grid from the game. The individual blocks are not named per se, but the rows do have names, and if you click and drag over the cells, it will reveal 'hidden' text with the hex and RGB codes of each color cell. You could enter those codes on a site like color-hex.com to find names for the colors in the individual cells.
  21. I have enjoyed the static groups that I have been a part of in the past, and would certainly at least entertain the idea of joining one.
  22. Check under Menu > Options > Windows > Show Pet Window Options, although I think based on your post you already have the pet window option enabled. You can also try: /window_show pet I think the above command essentially does the same thing as the Team > Pet option. Either way, I think your pet window should thereafter always open when pets are summoned, as long as you don't manually close the pet window. It's been a while since I looked into the topic, though, so my memory may be rusty. There is more discussion here if you want to see if there are any other tips I missed: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/38928-bugged-pet-window/
  23. I just logged into Brainstorm and still don't see capsules or the anniversary badge, but perhaps it just needs a bit more time. I see the capsules now, no Cheers! badge though. Regarding the freebies menu, the big things that are missing from the version that is currently on Brainstorm are the Cupid's Crush grant code, and the codes to grant Mark & Recall and Sheer Willpower. So, until the current version of the freebies menu is able to be loaded onto Brainstorm, here are the grant codes for those if anyone needs them. Cupids Crush: /boostset Cupids_Crush 1 This will give you a whole set. There are different (more complex) grant codes for individual pieces, but for simplicity's sake if you need individual pieces, I'd use the above and just toss the pieces you don't need. Or, you can visit any merit vendor, get the free merits (under Beta Testing), and buy the pieces you need. Mark & Recall: /badge_grant MarkRecallAccolade Sheer Willpower: /badge_grant ProtectorOfParagon /badge_grant StrikeForceCommander If you care about alignment, use the top one for heroes and the bottom one for villains. Otherwise, either will do. The only other freebies changes were some editorial changes that aren't super critical. EDIT TO ADD: If anyone needs maps of the time capsule locations, my Winter Gifts map mod should work. The capsules should be in the same spots as the winter gifts.
  24. Not sure if this is intentional or not (no worries if it is), but the freebies menu is missing from its normal spot in the quick menu at the end of the chat bar. The /popmenu freebiesmenu command works to spawn it, but the version on Brainstorm is one version old and is missing a few recent updates.
  25. The command: /popmenu freebiesmenu works to spawn the freebies menu. You can incorporate that into a bind or macro. The version of the freebies menu on Brainstorm is an older version, though, and lacks the most recent updates.
