  1. The 2 installs are now separate and being in the same folder was probably why it wouldn't run. Since neither version is currently working I would make sure that any anti-virus is off, delete the existing games folder and all copies of the hcinstaller from downloads. Reboot the computer and start over following what we have done so far. Seems like something interfered or corrupted the downloads, hopefully that won't happen once the folder is gone and you create a fresh install. Just make sure to place it where we put it earlier.
  2. I see the homecoming.exe app in this shot, but also titan Icon and tequila files. This looks to be your existing Tequila based install. The Homecoming Launcher needs to be installed in a separate folder than your Tequila Install. Just move or copy it from downloads to C:/Games not C:/Games/COH and then see what you have when you click on it.
  3. Is there anything other than COH in the C:/Games folder? Seems like you didn't get the full download or this is part of the Tequila install.
  4. Make sure that the Homecoming download goes to a folder outside Windows control, so not in Program Files. Preferred location is C:/Games. Open My Computer, go to C drive and open the Games Folder, you should see this... Click on Homecoming, you should see something like this... If none of this is there then something blocked the download. If it is there, try the Homecoming shortcut and see if that will start the game. If not, try disabling any Anti-Virus you have until you get it working, then add it to the AV exceptions or White list. Let me know how this goes.
  5. A little information that would help greatly. Tequila is being phased out so getting the Homecoming Launcher working is for the best. Did you install HC Launcher to the C:/Games folder? ( This being a separate folder from the Tequila install ) Do you have a shortcut on your desktop? What happens when you try to start a session?
  6. The Homecoming Launcher is the preferred access application and is fully supported by the Homecoming Staff. Tequila is being phased out and is no longer supported. The Homecoming Launcher installation instructions are HERE.
  7. FYI, You can see exactly how much Influence you have earned from combat / mission completion at any Information Terminal, I don't think it includes earnings from the auction house though. Will also show other stats as well.
  8. Only viable if all involved equipment was made of foam rubber. I bet @Snarky was bummed when he discovered the Toy Bat wasn't the kind of bat with wings.
  9. Go to Menu / Options / Control / Mouse and set "Free Camera Movement" to Disabled.
  10. Watching some of the Ebay computer vendors could be worth it, found a Dell Laptop with a 2 GB Video card, that could use up to 16 GB ram ( it had 4 GB ) for $89.99, cost me another $20.00 to max the ram and it plays pretty well, not quite my gaming tower with 32 GB of ram, but it'll do and not a huge investment.
  11. Unai Kemen intro to Harvey Maylor:
  12. This game is not easy to get newer PCs to run well. It is 20 years old, uses OpenGL, was designed for PCs with dedicated video cards, does not play well with the GeoForce Experience, does not like sharing it's connection and is very sensitive to changes in bandwidth. Ultra Mode can be more than Integrated Graphics or even some basic Video Cards can handle. Let's start with something basic. Try running netgraph, type /netgraph 1 in the chat line and monitor the results, /netgraph 0 turns it off. It will appear in the lower right side of screen. Spike shape: The height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds. Short is good, long is bad. Green bars represent received packets. Short = normal/good Long = low bandwidth. Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Short = ISP/Router issues Red bars represent dropped packets Short = ISP/Router issues Blocks of Red = Interrupted communications
  13. Good to know, I think most people use these for the -knockback and the set bonuses anyway.
  14. Gotcha, didn't really jump into the Praetorian stuff much before Going Rogue so never noticed.
  15. An example of one that is very popular but has limited level range: Steadfast Protection is a Resist Damage enhancement set in the Invention System. It is available in the 10-30 level range. There are three enhancements in this set: Steadfast Protection: Resistance/Endurance, Steadfast Protection: Resistance/Defense Unique Global, and Steadfast Protection: Knockback Protection Global ( +4 ). Only one of each of these types of enhancements may be slotted per power, except for unique enhancements which, if present, are limited to one per build. The following set bonuses apply when slotting more than one of the enhancements in this set into a single power: Two enhancements increases Recovery by 1.5%. Three enhancements increases maximum Health by 1.5% It offers a Unique Combo of Resist Damage, Defense and Knockback Protection but only needs 3 slots for the Whole Set.
  16. I am not aware of any Enhancement sets that become Ineffective beyond a certain level. There are sets that only appear in a certain level range, say 10-25 but you can continue to get their benefits after you pass their level range, also you can attune them to somewhat scale them to your level. Most sets have a Minimum effective level and it varies by the set, and others require you to be level 50 before you can even install them. The start enhancements are their own thing, I believe they remain effective at any level but the associated PROC that comes with each one only works to a certain level.
  17. Noticed in " Save Carnies from Praetorians " mission from Unai Kemen, where you are supposed to be rescuing Carnival of Light that the mission uses Carnival of Shadows NPCs.
  18. I would say the issue is not related to the game install as the /netgraph results indicate you are experiencing periodic drops in bandwidth. It could be a router or modem issue or connectivity between your PC and the network. I included some suggestions in my previous post, were able to try any of those?
  19. It doesn't have to be a red bar in /Netgraph to be an issue: from the wiki: Interpreting the netgraph: Spike shape: The height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds. Short is good, long is bad. Green bars represent received packets. Short = normal/good Long = low bandwidth. Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Short = ISP/Router issues Red bars represent dropped packets Short = ISP/Router issues Blocks of Red = Interrupted communications
  20. Added PvP and 2 Groups
  21. So based on your description of the /netgraph results it seems you are experiencing periodic loss of bandwidth. It isn't dropped packets, or a loss of connection. If you are on WiFi, I would try switching to a wired connection and see if that helps. Check and make sure that any wired connections are in good condition and securely connected. If you have your own Router, you could temporarily bypass it and plug directly into the ISPs modem/router. If none of these seem to help, I would request, especially if it is not fairly new, a replacement modem from your Provider, most providers will not charge anything for this, and many times an older modem may have issues interacting with newer equipment on their network.
  22. from the wiki: Interpreting the netgraph: Spike shape: The height of the bar representing server ping time in milliseconds. Short is good, long is bad. Green bars represent received packets. Short = normal/good Long = low bandwidth. Yellow bars represent retransmitted packets. Short = ISP/Router issues Red bars represent dropped packets Short = ISP/Router issues Blocks of Red = Interrupted communications
  23. Added 50+ Rikti in RWZ. I did not include Sewer/Abandoned Sewer or PVP zones because I simply ran out of Room, Croatoan and Cimmeroran enemies are unique to the those Zones. Still a work in progress, trying to keep it to 1 page is a challenge.
  24. In the works, just takes a bit to collect and organize that much info.
  25. If I recall the Villain that crossed over was a Brute named "Bubbles" on Virtue, became kind of a Celebrity.
