My point was tangential about comics. People who don't live in the United States or have Super Powers have a dream, that these wishes will change their life. Just because you live in the United States doesn't mean you will have a remarkable existence. Just because you get Super Powers doesn't mean you will have a remarkable existence. These are just tools , you still have to set out and make your existence remarkable. Also to reference the original poster wanting to "unleash a giant monster" have you seen the first "Incredibles" movie, Syndrom :)

I've seen this general theme before ... First Point. Did you know that not everyone that lives in the United States is rich? Some of them can't afford to eat or feed themselves. Second Point, have you see the show "The boys" In that world, you have the "wealthy" seven. You also have heroes hooked on drugs or regenerating body parts removal to make a quick buck. To tie it all together, just because you live in the United States or get "Super Powers" doesn't mean you're going to have a remarkable existence. The "masses" in the "game" rush to the get rich quick/power level AE missions instead of well thought out AE missions. COV/United States just provide you the tools, you still have to set out and make it remarkable. The sad thing, no modern games even come close to the tools provided by COV. Since COV shutdown, the closest I've come to being inspired is Overlord which is a anime/light novel and sadly not a DMMORPG.

I use the Steam Controller.

Before the nerfs the original Planetside was great. Even if you felt like solo, team, faction or undermanned that evening. The masses would zerg, but with a dedicated squad you could turn the tide of battle. The legendary fights weren't in the bases they were in the towers. Alas it only lasted a few months until things were nerfed so that it was like every other pvp game. Tried P2 but it was just like every other pvp game. I have fond memories of COV and the original Planetside back in the day. Funny thing is, I'm not a PVP'er. In the original Planetside I could make a meaningful contribution to the War effort even though I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Covert Ops hacking a base. Mobile Medical to direct the Zerg respond. Or strapping up and making a last stand in a tower where the multiple targets negated my horrible aim. Tactically there were always options besides the vanilla PVP grunt shooting.

QFT Almost 50 alts all RED SIDE
-
Excellent.

Can this be slotted in Stamina? Or does it need to go in a power that "hits"?
-
Where? What? How? Hardcase-St Martial Contact

That changes everything. For my Crab, (frag grenade) wasn't apart of the build, it was a trade-off made for a bigger reward. Likewise (Electron Haze). This bring me back to my original plan of (Radiation Siphon). I have no idea how the math all works out, but it seems like Force Feedback would just be the cherry on top instead of a key part of a Domination build.
-
100% recharge boost.
-
Global Recharge is high (Domination) but I can easily keep Buildup's slotted recharge <60% when I move Gaussian. I had planned to put Force Feedback in (Radiation Siphon) (Ice/Rad) at level 22 but since its a single attack power my expectations were low. In the mean time, the opportunity came up to pop it into (Electron Haze) earlier. On my last play-thru I focused on observing the other (recharging powers) instantly pop back up and they never did. Will (Radiation Siphon) fair better? Maybe the cone on (Electron Haze) is too small? On my Crab, I'd have to add (frag grenade) to theoretically get double (summon spiderlings & call reinforcements)
-
Currently I slot (Gaussian) in Tactics thinking that it would fire more often and increase average game session damage. Putting it in Buildup seemed like gambling, double buildup on high value target versus a game session where you activated it 1-3 times and it never went off. After reading the thread I think my reasoning may be off and it would be better to move it to Buildup. However my alts (solo) with a mm lackey which means maybe it should stay in Tactics? Next question is Force Feedback. Prior to this thread I read that you want to slot it in a AOE etc. to increase the chance to proc. But in the beginning of the thread it talked about single target powers procing better then AOE due to other variables. So I'm a little confused as if I should continue to experiment with it as it seems no one does. For reference trying to get a (cheap) permanent domination and more pets for Crab Spider.

When you have 50+ alts, spreadsheets pretty much become a must to keep everyone's progress going :)

Characters where you took the WHOLE Primary and Secondary
ILIWAPCT replied to Heraclea's topic in General Discussion
That's what my Peacebringer and Warshade are turning out to become. I'm starting to understand the hate. But I also see that I won't be able to judge the sets until I have most of the powers. -
What Is the **WORST** AT/PowerSet Combination?
ILIWAPCT replied to _NOPE_'s topic in General Discussion
Corruptors that aren't Rad/Kinetics. Back when we had Red/Blue side, they were our only choice for a "healer" Everyone loved you and wanted you on your team. I don't remember my 3rd combination was. Just that it was so painful that I never touched the set again. Today I can make Arachnos Soldier's fun but non-Rad/Kinetics Corruptors forget it. -
I love this game but nobody teams anymore..

Try finding a team Red Side. Ha HA -
Just started a grav/earth about a week ago. Never tried the earth primary before. You've convinced me to give it a try. As everyone else has said. Dominators are the best thing ever. Back on live they were my 2nd AT and quickly surpassed my first. I'll never forget reading the forums for tips when I discovered " Permanent Domination" After that the game attained Godhood and nothing since has even come close. Leveling is so much fun, I never seen the appeal of Power Leveling. As a Dominator you live on the Edge, one misstep...

N/A I have a personal SG. Around level 20 I fire up Mid's and target a respec build (24/27). My King alt places the orders about a month in advance. I don't farm, I play normally. I have no 50's and about 50 alts. By (24/27) I usually find a discrepancy resulting in that alt being placed in the dusty "reserves" The fun (meritocratic) alts have their orders fulfilled. The dusty "reserves" slowly level and contribute IO drops. Recently, I found my bins nearing capacity and was considering removing inspiration storage to increase bin capacity. Instead, I realized I would be better served by unloading (at a profit) IO's that were replaceable and not needed at the moment. Now my bins contain the meritocratic IO's.

Every time I start to get a glimmer of hope, reality come crashing. Previously I wasn't impressed by (Fiery Orb) especially since its an expensive Arch-type Enhancement. It's been sitting in my SG bin waiting to be converted to another Arch-type Enhancement. Leveling Arctic Air has been lots of fun and I couldn't''t wait to slot in some uber IO's then bam, despite the IO's it accepts you can't modify the base power. Just when I thought a Plan B combining Arctic Air and (Fiery Orb) might result in a good back-up 😞
-
I got 40+ alts. 1. Ice/Rad alt level 20 I'll squeeze in Electron Haze and try it until level 24/28 Permanent Domination Respec. 2. Dusty Dominator Alt 1 With low expectations I'll try Whilrwind 3. Dusty Dominator Alt 2 Fool around with Spring Attack My alt are my Test Server 🙂
-
You're correct. Toss in Malaise's (Chance Psi), Cacophany (Chance Energy) and then you got 2 Set Bonuses to boot. For the 6th slot maybe (Chance Fiery Orb). Target Level 24/28 build.
-
Thanks for the replies. Instead, I'll squeeze in Electron Haze and test Force Feedback there.Separately, I'll set expectation low and try out Whirlwind on a throw-away alt. Also might look into testing Spring Attack with Force Feedback.
-
You're right. A (3-slot) Frankenslot of (Endurance/Confused) composed of Malaise, Perplex and Cacophany gets you close without wasting a slot. Sadly (Confuse/Range) doesn't increase the radius. And you can't increase the fear with fear IO's or fear set's.
-
Slotting a Confuse IO has no effect on Arctic Air, Duration and Magnitude stay the same. I started off installing a Confuse Set Malaise Illusion (Accuracy/Recharge) then noticed no change in Midi's. Yes you still get (set bonuses), but I think that's a waste when you're not modifying the base power. I'm disappointed that you can slot Confuse/Fear/Slow IO's and have no result on the base power. At least with Confuse/Fear/Slow Set's you can still get the (set bonus). In the end, this is going to completely change my build. I started to think Malaise's Illusion (Change Psi damage), Glimpse of Abyss (Change Psi damage) could save it. But will probably just single slot a (End IO) and call it a day.
