I was theorizing builds in Midus when I noticed some powers were showing Accuracy of 110% from Set Bonus etc. So I started to modify some set IO's (i.e. Accuracy/Damage -> Endurance/Damage) and got a power down to 3 different permutations: 1. 110% Accuracy (Waste?) 2. 102% (Just Right?) 3. 94.8 (too little?)

Developer effort has nothing to do with any of that.

Agreed. My first thought is that they must be playing brutes. If their looking for a challenge just look at the Alt disparity the developers put out. Start at the bottom and work you way up back to your brute. Second. Challenging content takes a lot of time and effort to develop, the player base will have it nurtured within a day to a week at most. In closing, I'd also guess that AE farms and farming in general has people "miss the game". It's great that we all have options to play the game the way we want to play.

Back on live, COV went from being just a game to "The Game of All Time" when I read about Permanent Domination on the forums. Next the forum's led me to try AT's that I would never imagine enjoying. That lead to a synergy, for example playing a Brute gave me insights on different approaches to my Dominator which lead to insights to my MM etc. Iron sharping Iron. It's a game. Your suppose to have fun. Every one of my alts is baptized in Break Out. It's the journey, not the destination 50, to create the alt that fits my play-style like a glove. One way I've helped restrain myself from getting carried away when inspiration hits is to limit 1 new alt a day.

All of my 40+ alts run breakout so I guess you could say I'm old school. Strictly Red side. I remember the cape mission but missed when they mixed red and blue side. I'll have to look up Mr. Rodney. Does anyone else remember a low level mission (~5) where you fought back-street-brawler? They eventually took him out.

I understand that snipes are now long range and short range but is a YELLOW circle needed? Can you turn it off or let Null the Gull turn it off? I don't need a Yellow Circle on my display.

Haven't touched Corruptors since live. Ran a Speed Boost to 50 maybe a few others. But found the experience lacking. Back when it was hero/villian side the only benefit was either a healer (Radiaton) or Speed Boost. Damage was lacking. Just found other AT's were better and scourge was useless. Fast-forward to Homecoming I read that Scourge shines when you are fighting the high-level bosses. So it makes sense why the AT never clicked for me. I enjoy all the content, not just the epic battles. Solo the routine battles were exhausting and not fun. I'd give it another look, but their best powers have been given to MM's, which once again, a SB mm versus SB Corruptors is not contest for me at this time. Or to put it another way, the comparable experience is the epic Villain AT Bane/Crab. After running then to 50 they didn't feel "super powered" like the other AT's. Outside of SB and Healing they play just like Corruptors to me. However I've made new Bane/Crab's on Homecoming because it fits the theme of "regular" person i.e. Batman in a way. So I could hype myself up to play Bane/Crab again in a way that I can't for Corruptors. TLDR Scourge outside of the high-level bosses is useless.

Excellent. I knew there was a menu somewhere but couldn't remember which one. FYI my Performance Shifter shows up in my combat window and does something in the combat attributes window but after seeing it move up and down for 5 minutes I couldn't tell you the exact field.

How do I verify that the proc goes off? I checked the combat window and nothing shows up. I have it slotted in Hide (Stalker)

That infamous August patch also knocked out my Steam Controller. Fortunately, yesterday I got full functionality back.

The Steam Controller contains your typical controller buttons plus an integrated mouse. Prior to the 22 August patch, Homecoming had no issues. After the August patch I could tinker with the setting and either get the buttons working or the mouse working but not both. Only Safe Mode recognized both. Today I was able to adjust the settings and 64-Bit was able to recognize both again. Good Job!

My issue is Steam Controller Support. Safe Mode supports the Steam Controller, the rest don't. If you like the "Model T" adding a modern air conditioning system would be nice but not at the expense of having the car. The "Model T" and Tesla's "Model S" have different niches. I don't see how "development" is going to draw in the masses. Yesterday I was playing a modern game and a teammate commented about my screen name about how much fun coh/cov was. I let them know that actually its been back for almost a year...

Ok my lacky alt had Lord Schweinzer has a contact so I can use it to repeat mayhem missions then.

How do you "reset" Mayhem Missions? I've tried exiting and logging off. But logging back on just completes the mission and now I have to do newspapers all over again.

I'd prefer Safe Mode not go away. It's an old game. Depending on our systems we can all play now. Dropping Safe Mode isn't going to give us COH2.

Just checked the wiki and now I understand why I was so confused. Epic Power Pools were blue side while Patron were Red. Then everything got merged!

Thanks, so it was 4 pools that did me in. It's been so long with a combination of new stuff and if course things I've forgotten. I haven't been in a mad rush to 50 so the level 35 epic pool caught me off guard. I'll be ready for it on my other alts. But it also complicates things now I have to compare and test it with power pools on top of everything else. Big O notation!

Define terms The issue isn't PUG meta. You're specifically talking about COH not COV. You specified that you don't like/play COV. Why are terms important? PUG/Teaming COV side isn't a issue because most players are on blue side. The game began with archetypes blue side then mirror one's red side. Eventually blue side complained enough to get red side archetypes on the blue side. Players aren't dumb. Their taking the best of both worlds. Of course this disrupts everything because the game was designed around a blue side and a red side with a few co-op missions in-between. This results in the number 1 and number 2 archetypes (historically red) being the most played on blue side. Once the Pandora's box was opened, you have to live with it. Blue side people are steam rolling over content. Red side we're lucky to find a team once a month. Tanker's are clamoring for a buff because players prefer the red side mirror. The meta is blue side.

Back in the day we had Patron Power Pools after you did their respective arc. Low and behold a alt hit 35 and instead of being able to pick another Power Pool it only shows Epic. Looking up on Wiki I find it gets deeper, Patron Power Pools are contraindicated. If I understand correctly after 35 you're locked out of new Power Pools. What happens if this alt selects a Epic Power and then completes a Patron Arc? Thank You

Changes from live server: Super Groups are "free" now "Free" Pay to win vendor I play solely on Red Side (Torch) which means it's difficult to get groups but I have a ton of low level alts if you need a hand.

Didn't realize that. So that's why the announcement of "Server" open super groups base. I'd read the post and wonder why their wasn't one for red and blue. Back in my day up hill both ways...
